  1. Calling for Johnson to come back !!!? Definitely sad losers on hard drugs.
  2. Do our players shout "Gambatte-mas ! " * before they go out on the pitch? * "I will try to do my best !"
  3. Tanner is the sort of player who offers hope of better things and a brighter future for our club. He knows what is expected of him and he delivers as best he can. Hard-working, commited and energetic. Attackers find it hard to get any change out of him. If we had eleven Tanners, we'd have five shillings and sixpence. He is definitely going to worth a fair few bob more than we paid for him.
  4. I'm sure it annoys some people when wealthy blokes like you come on here boasting about how much you have, especially as its more than some will earn over their entire lifetime. I however, do not begrudge you a single penny. I have no doubt you've had to work hard to accumulate such immense wealth and paid all the taxes required. How did you manage to fend off all those sycophantic advances from Mark Ashton?
  5. Don't be too hard on yourself. So far, you're probably most people's man of the match.
  6. Unfortunately, at the moment, it looks like ... No Atkinson, no Willams ..... no chance Poor
  7. Chief of Defence. Wood not be surprised to find out he was appointed by a panel.
  8. You'd expect a Brighton player to be-hove better.
  9. Side A: Goodnight Irene Side B: Goodnight Irene Yes, Volume Two was released Side A: Goodnight Irene Side B: Goodnight Irene "It's the sound of the crowd" !?? They're havin' a laugh. What crowd? Probably the usual 10,000 locked outside.
  10. Presumably because you have a gas oven.
  11. So far, so good. Things definitely look and feel better. Pearon inherited one hell of a mess and despite knowing it, he wasn't deterred. He is gradually improving things on and off the pitch (with a limited budget). Wish him well.
  12. How times have changed. From the era of The Ashton Eight (honourable heroes who helped to save our club) to the era of Ashton Hate (the narcissist who did great damage to our club).
  13. He may not have played a huge amount of games for us, but some of the things he did were pure magic and a privilege to behold. Those magic moments (especially as they have been incredibly rare whilst watching City over many years) will always live long in the memory. Yes, he liked a drink (as many on here do). But as many friends at the Polish Club in St Pauls Road will vouch, he never played the big "I AM" and was very friendly and approachable. The demon drink certainly did him no favours, but all idols, such as Jackie, often have faults, just like any other people. Sto lat Jackie - thanks for those happy memories.
  14. Anyone? Let's give a big warm welcome to their next manager ..... the one and only ...... Mr Harvey Weinstein / Sleepy Joe Biden / Mr Mark Ashton (take your pick)
  15. Brassicas ! Whenever they lose, all we hear from them is Sauerkraut.
  16. A refreshing change from Wednesday night. Tanner, James and Williams are real gems. Let's hope they keep shining. Though I've singled some out, today all the other players deserve praise too. Fair play to Martin for getting that crucial goal. That's wiped the smile off Victoria Beckham's face !
  17. He turns on a sixpence (well almost) and scores !!! He's worth every penny (all six of them).
  18. If only we could sign Gyokeres or a similar, tall, mobile striker with good work ethic who knows how to score. A big, missing piece in our jigsaw.
  19. He had to attend a speed awareness course yesterday, but arrived too late.
