  1. Or North Macedonia? Especially if they had a stadium in the neighbouring Greek region which is also called North Macedonia. Imagine the confusion for fans.
  2. That's the trouble with blanket coverage of these events you end up with "People look at flowers" as a news item. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-62842089 I remember being in the States not long after 9/11 and seeing a news item about the correct way to pronounce Al-Qaeda, seriously.
  3. As I said earlier in this thread, there was definitely a period around Diana's death where you would have had a good chance of getting a high figure against the monarchy. People seem to have forgotten how Charles was public enemy No1 and his mother was portrayed as emotionless and out of touch.
  4. I think this will interest me. You only have to look at the Proclamation this morning to find yourself wondering who decides who is on the stage and in the audience. I sometimes wonder if this is where the conspiracy theories of the "real rulers" come from.
  5. Total rubbish, I could go through the whole thing and find the majority of posts are sympathetic. I have been reading the thread from the beginning, by your own admission you haven't, as far as I am concerned that puts you on a par with those want books or films banned even though they haven't read or seen them.
  6. It might have one I suppose, but she wielded no power in reality, so I don't think it's as great as some imagine. I am struggling to understand what your point has to do with domestic football matches though. I find it interesting that in many cases the same people will be attending tonights rugby match, an occasion at which they are trusted to behave properly.
  7. The thought processes of those in power are being laid bare, you have a PM who thinks "the workers" are a separate entity to the voters and here you have an example of a group that is formed from all levels of society being treated as separate non-conformist entity.
  8. So with this in mind, do we produce less notes and coins now?
  9. Rocking Horse Road - Elvis Costello
  10. It's certainly the case for ML, and also could potentially hide owners from places such as Russia. The changes in legislation occured a few years back and caused huge headaches for my wife in her then role as a Company Secretary Administrator. They were supposed to follow the money back to the actual owners for every new company they took on. It's fine in principal but in practice it's almost impossible. Once you get to countries that are outside our legislation or control, you can ask for details, but you can't demand and anything that is offered has to be taken at face value. In the end she was making decisions on a gut instinct, her main ploy if she had doubts was to charge exorbitant fees. This was used a bit like the witch trials, if they agreed to pay without question, she knew they were dodgy and withdrew her services.
  11. Laying artificial turf in the garden if the weather holds, otherwise using our complimentary cinema vouchers to go and see The Fall.
  12. One is Mr Big House (Casa-Grande) not sure who the fifth one is.
  13. You haven't "read" the whole thread but have leaped to the conclusion that we are all being disrespectful and you are embarrassed to be associated with the rest of us. I think if you had read the thread and had digested the points made, you will find very little disrespectful in it. People making assumptions or picking out items that suit their own agenda, I think this is more typical of OTIB and more embarrassing.
  14. It could be your profile has corrupted somehow, this is happened to me in the past. There is a fix tool from Microsoft that can be placed on your laptop. This is the link. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/resolve-outlook-for-windows-issues-with-automated-troubleshooting-tools-38e2342d-3527-4190-8754-a82d8b970fe2
  15. This Guardian article from last year suggests that only 1 in 6 transactions were cash, I wouldn't be at all surprised if that trend is continuing and those figures higher by now. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/jun/16/cashless-society-draws-closer-with-only-one-in-six-payments-now-in-cash
  16. Have you installed or updated anything recently? Especially anti virus software?
  17. Promotion Not Expected (League) Position Not Effected Points Not Entertainment
  18. Just been announced that this forum is closing until the day after the funeral as a mark of respect. *That should do it.......
  19. I think you might be on the wrong forum.......
  20. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/62850221 Disappointing to many.
  21. I literally have no idea what any of that means, the maths makes no sense, the conclusion is bizarre. 23 = Pain?
  22. If this sounds a bit over the top to those too young to remember, or those with a selective memory. This is a selection of the headlines from that period, the period when the Queen was portrayed as anything but the kind old granny we are mourning today.
  23. It's a form of emotional fascism and seems to be something that has grown out of the Diana period. I do wonder how many of the "mourners" today are the same ones who were demanding the Queen to be as upset as they were about Diana when she clearly had no real feelings about her, the ones who were questioning the future of the monarchy as whole if she didn't come out of her Ivory tower to join them. Terms like the "majority" being used without evidence for it, to make the rest feel like they don't belong, are all part of the insidious process.
