  1. Must of been a poor year for her to win it, O'Sullivan's achievement at his age (plus he does actually have a personality) and KJT's achievement after all her injuries were far more deserving

I'm a bit fed up with everything Bristol City right now. It all just feels a bit backward, you know? Why are we so stuck in the past as a club and as fans, especially when we've not really achieved much? Check out the first page of the forum, and you'll see what I mean:

    • Nigels leaving card
    • Nigel Pearson, Bit of an Artist
    • Making a fuss about winning the Carabao Cup 6 years ago (No mention of that Liverpool win we keep harping on about)
    • Richard Gould back
    • Mark Aston thread

And don't get me started on our social media team—constantly wishing old players happy birthday and every new shirt being some kind of "throwback." It's like we're stuck in a time loop or something.

Why can't we, as a club and a fanbase, be a bit more with the times? We seem to love the same old stuff, especially this weird obsession with Nigel Pearson. The guy was just so average, I don't get where all the love comes from. It's just basic and, well, a bit rubbish. We're basically cheering on failure and being okay with being average.

The bloke was just so average; I'm scratching my head wondering why everyone's so into him apart from the fact he was a bit edgy. It's just basic and, well, a bit tinpot. We're basically cheering on failure and settling for being just average.

Am I the only one who thinks like this?

P.s Don't get me started with the love for Massengo just because he had big hair. Never has such a below average player been so lorded.

I give you Brian Tinnion & Marlon Pack

Been there a few times. But last year you couldn’t even get a beer in the ground. When I asked the steward he said it was the same for the home fans. Not sure if he was telling the truth or not. No rush to go back to Watford

Vicarage Road is such an uninspiring place, 30 years between my two journeys there, won't be going again

I personally think and agree we are a mid table side but I also think we are no ones push overs and will give most teams in this league a decent game , I honestly think the majority of teams wouldn’t choose to play against us the last game of the season to get promoted ( hopefully we have moved on from that Birmingham shambles under Johnson a few years back aaarrrrggghhhh

We’re definitely no push overs, anyone who beats us has to earn the points and that Brum game still annoys me as well !!!

I wouldn’t of remembered but as someone has stated it was probably Claire’s, i do remember it was just up the road and up a flight of stairs

In my defence it was 40 years ago and my memory is slightly hazy, not sure how I managed to remember the Gibbon bar and the Yacht tbh, also have a very comical memory of “Little Ronnie” in Torquay harbour ( you had to be there)

Ultimately a middling side at this level IMO, fuller squad and it may look a bit different ie push at top 10.

Sunderland forum had a quick browse of a thread critiquing their caretaker manager- some reckon we are an awful side. Wouldn't agree but we rode our luck a tad but we did perhaps merit a couple more points from previous games.

If I were a Sunderland fan having seen us for the first time yesterday I would of come to the same conclusion that we were awful and be wondering how the hell we got nothing from the game, on the other side of the coin I think we’ve been a little unlucky we haven’t picked up more points recently, that’s football

    Yep, agree.

Plus it gives us a bit more prep time before the game on Boxing Day.

I’m sure that will be the reason given but if it’s an advantage why aren’t all the other games being moved to Friday night? Personally for me it’s a pain in the arse

    Well I f***** up

Wouldn’t let me assign at first so gone through as two separate transactions so won’t be sat together.

As it’ll be a sell out I doubt we can switch seats.

    Upper seating now sold out

Isn’t it un-reserved seating?  I bought my tickets on Wednesday and can’t see any seat numbers

    Bloody legend.

I remember Joes home debut which I think was against Doncaster. We won 5-0 and Walshie scored a hat trick but he was nowhere near MOM as Joe was that good. And as I said the other day, if he doesn’t move to Hearts we would have been promoted.

That 89/90 season is one of the best teams city have ever had. Pace down one wing with Smith, guile down the other with Gavin, Super Bob and carnage up top. Gary Shelton and Rennie bossing the midfield, Psycho Humphries and Biff at the back, Johnny Bailey, Andy Llewelyn, even Sinclair was ok (preferred leaning).

If you weren’t there, you can have no idea how exhilarating it was.

”Pick….that one out of the net you boys from Crewe”

Always thought Robbie Turner was an un-sung hero, did a lot of the bullying and donkey work for Super-Bob, the entertainment that season (on and off the pitch 😃) has never come close (although the double year was great) probably down to the fact of being a care-free young man

Haha, good old Roger Malone, was that the game Super Bob got injured costing us the title?

Probably my favourite season ever (89-90) even our promotion to the top flight comes second to this, away games at Brum’ Cardiff, Swansea & Bolton have stayed long in the memory, for people suffering from Pearsons departure let me tell you that time doesn’t heel the pain, still devastated about JJ leaving for Hearts
