I”m afraid things never change, either too much coke or too much alcohol, any club that takes 3000 to an away game are going to have a small percentage of numbskulls amongst them

Manning’s doing well considering the squad and injuries he’s inherited

He got what he deserved but 99.9% of the time a foul would of been given

Good news for me, I'm flying Easyjet to Paignton this afternoon to soak up some sun for a week or two...
Are you going via Parson Street ?

Indeed and well said Fevs.
I said to a mate before the game if Manning doesn’t do well after a few games it could get toxic as the expectation is greater; I didn’t expect it to take 53 minutes on Saturday!
If Manning keeps winning, drawing and/or playing well I am sure it will be fine.
If the football is dull and we start conceding/losing games then it won’t take much for it to turn; the patience just won’t be there.
We're been quite used to that brand of football for many years now, hopefully Manning gets time to stamp his style

That’s all good……as long as there remains a place for fans who are only interested in the football, not a whole day out in Ashton, and couldn’t care less about anything or anyone around the Bristol Sport aspect of it.
All that interests me is our performance/result but i do think it's great that we can attract so many different supporters due to the "AG experience"

This isn’t a dig at you personally but as your post covers the topic I’ll make my point which is that its strange how, in some instances, the very same people moaning about us passing it round the back four against Wednesday when Curtis took charge for a game are now jizzing about it……..
My personal view is if that is the way Manning wants to play then make sure that’s the way we do play and make sure we get better at it, don’t go ripping it up in six weeks like a certain previous bluffer, I meant manager, used to do whenever he hit the buffers.
Some of us we’re happy to sit through some uninspired football at times from Nige because he and we saw the bigger picture and gradual improvement and stuck to it. Happy to do the same with Manning but if he veers off track every three months and tries something else that will piss a lot off. We’ve all been there and had a guts full of that. Tbf to Manning though he doesn’t seem that type based on his interviews to date.
What was uninspired and totally pointless was our keeper constantly launching it down the pitch and giving up possession, what was the point in that?
I agree that to an extent you have got to have players that can "play" if you are going to go with possession football otherwise it can be risky, i remember Jaap Stam when he was Reading manager trying to play that way at AG and they were totally hopeless at it

Seriously how could anyone say they enjoyed those first 30 mins.
I would hope we are all City through and through.
I fear he’s taken the Kings shilling, and it shows.
I enjoyed it, i'd much rather our keeper try to play it out than kick the ball 80 yards down the pitch to our 5"10" striker who's being marked by a 6"4" centre half or more often than not just kick it straight out of play

I was gonna say that. His honesty has cost his team there which just seems totally ridiculous.
If that was Grealish he would of rolled around the floor 10 times to ensure the guy was sent off (as would a huge majority of prem' players) the Wolves guy was far too honest

14,126 in 1980.
I notice Swindon had 8,300 for their home game on Saturday, 1,200 more than Rovers pulled in against Stevenage, they need a bigger ground mind !!

His future was bleak while NP was here, in his few cameo appearances he looked like a rabbit in the headlights, there is definitely a very good player there who can frighten defences to death, let's hope Manning can get the best out of him

I don’t remember our away support being as consistent as it has been the last couple of seasons, selling out pretty much every away end as far as the Midlands, even Leeds this season. Does seem to be a nationwide trend when you look at some other average away attendances too. Most are up, we sell out probably 60-70% of places we go but are still bang average in terms of average away crowd size. Obviously geography related too but does seem to be something going on there. Still a post covid boom thing perhaps. Or young people with less to do now than 5-10 years ago with a decline in other events. Many staying at home longer with more disposable income for trains to Leeds and Leicester. What else you gonna do type thing.
Night away games against Northern teams bring our average down massively

My horse racing gang are planning a trip to Galway, a place I really like but have never been racing to. I have done Ballinrobe though.
Yeh, I’ve done Ballinrobe in Mayo (just down the road from Knock airport) Galway races for the festival in July/August is mental, you”ll never have a better night out than a night out in the city of Galway

Yes Swansea, other than a roof over the North Bank terrace and that funny looking new stand that only went halfway across one end behind the goal there was very little development over the years.
Seen a super-Bob hat-trick there back in '90

More difficult than it first looked, especially given the angles at which some of the pictures were taken. Was quite happy with 8/15!
9. I should of got number 11 and 13 though, got lucky with 10 as a complete guess
