Recruitment is a process and a collective process.  Nige didn’t sign them, the recruitment team (which inc Nige) did.

Last January, would you have preferred we sold Semenyo, moved out Bentley, Klose and Martin and just gone with what was left?

FWIW Cornick has been on our recruitment list for a while, and was available.

Mehmeti isn’t wasted money.  Still young, Ben doing a bit better of late too.

To be honest i'm prepared to give Mehmeti more time, no problem with selling Semenyo, though i certainly didn't want him to go but you couldn't stand in his way for a move to the prem

Your reply seems to be a response to somebody else since it has no bearing on what I actually posted.

For the record I have no problem with the latest window but that is not what I wrote about.

Sorry CP,  don't know if i'm coming or going

What a shit post, we'd be better off with fans like you, lapping up unquestionably all the shit that's thrown at us,

I know another set of fans in Bristol that do that

Calm down mate, it was said "tongue in cheek" i appreciate every BCFC fan whether they attend games or just watch from the comfort of their sofa, we all want the same thing and we all share the same frustrations

Do you think they should know the lottery numbers too?

No one gets every signing right.

I notice you don’t have a name for the £300k striker, thought it was a piece of piss this recruitment lark?

What a stupid comment, how do i know who was around for £300K, what i do know is that i wouldn't of given you 30 bob never mind 300K and what i do know is that 1.3 million was wasted in last year's January window by our then manager (who apparently wasn't given any money to spend)

Be interested in the name of a striker that you think we could have got for £300k to replace one sold for £9m.

Wasn’t much unhappiness on here when we signed Mehmeti, he just hasn’t made the step up. Not sure anyone (Tinnion or Pearson) could have known that.

Well they should of known it, that's part of their job.

Yes it was so obvious at the time that we were lied to when we were told there was no money and we had reached the limit of our wage budget.

It's bad enough that they are liars but worse that they think we are so dumb that we will believe their lies.

Personally think this has been a decent window certainly compared to a year ago, who had the bright idea of brining Cornick in and wasting a million on Memheti last January?

So we’ve scrapped the Top 6 finish now? The main reason we supposedly sacked Pearson for has been shelved?! Now they’ve realised Pearson was actually doing a decent job with the players available and Manning is struggling with an even stronger squad! 🤦🏻‍♂️😡

How is it a stronger squad? it was a stronger squad a year ago when we still had the two wonder kids before they shot off to Bournemouth and we were still crap and dismal to watch

I don’t disagree but can any manager overhaul a squad and achieve play offs next season?  A big ask that

Hull and Coventry are going to do it this season

To be fair - point taken. My frustrations are more at the ***** at the top and their complete incompetence.

Best of luck to Manning - seems a likeable guy and I hope he turns out to be the coach the club thinks he could be. I just don’t see it, and I don’t think a lot of people can either

People are voting with their feet and attendances will only continue to drop. Be interesting to see what the season ticket sales will be like next season

I think season tickets will hold their own their own but how many actually attend is another matter, will be interesting to see what signings are made to go along with the January singings, i definitely don't expect Manning to get the same support from the fans as NP did and if we're no further forward by this time next year i's imagine the mood from the terraces will be pretty toxic

There seems to be this belief people are in the ‘Manning camp’ or the ‘Pearson camp’

Pearson’s time was up. It was time for a change

Manning was not the answer. He shouldn’t have even been on the short list

    Not hard to understand mate

I wasn't NP's biggest fan as many on here know and i posted many posts regarding some of the awful football we had to put up with though i do get that he sort of steadied the ship, i shed no tears when he was sacked and felt that 2 and a half years was long enough, this new guy deserves a chance, he's inherited this team so lets see what he's like when he has his own players and his way of playing is bedded in.

In regards to you thinking that Manning is dull, boring, and comes across emotionless" it doesn't seem to have done Southampton and Ipswich any harm having similar managers with the the same temperament, give the guy a chance

Aww bless. I’ve barely missed a city home game in 25 years, ever since I passed my driving test and could travel from Yeovil area. If you’re not intelligent enough to read between the lines of why I haven’t been since Pearson was sacked then jog on little Tommy.

Sorry mate no idea where you're coming from in regards to "reading between the lines" is it because you didn't want NP sacked so you and your two mates are forming some kind of protest ?

In any walk of life - a teams performance will normal mirror the behaviours of the leader of that group

Manning is dull, boring, and comes across emotionless

…..it’s no suprise the players are now the same

Surprising you've turned on Manning so quickly considering how keen you were to get NP sacked

They’ll be 3 seats spare front row in South Stand, just to the left of the goal as you look at it. We haven’t attended since Pearson was sacked. I doubt we’re the only ones..

We're better off without "fans" like you, i expect we'll find you down at Yeovil being as they're top of their league

I've said it in past postings there are clubs we seem to already have lost to before we have even kicked off, Wolves are another club like Leeds where we seem to run up the white flag of surrender, no matter what their form is at the time we play them you just know they will beat us, we gave Leeds way too much respect last night hence the title of my posting.

As a rule you can throw Norwich in with that as well

  15. Games i would of missed by the end of the season i reckon will be in double figures due to work commitments and holiday (i already know i will miss the Man Utd game due to work and holiday for the Leicester game and there are probably more that i haven't even looked at yet) i do try to pass my ticket onto family if i can't make it, in regards to empty seats in the SS i know for a fact that their are many who have bought kids tickets and they never get used, this is a massive problem, personally i would up the price to at least £100 and make the shirts half price instead of being free as this might discourage those that are clearly taking the piss

Woke up , saw the title and was convinced this was gonna be a thread about the BRISTOL LEEDS banner.

    Now THAT'S embarrassing.

Who ever had that flag should be rounded up and had the shit beaten out of him, and i'm not a violent man 🙂

Need I say more? look I did not bother posting for a couple of hours to let the blood pressure subside, but what can I say? I, unfortunately, watched the game in front of about 6 Gasheads in the Duke who had come to watch us hopefully lose and well we certainly didn't disappoint them, we did not have a meaningful attack or attempt on goal, as the post says embarrassing, seldom in my 56 years of watching City have I EVER seen us so comprehensively outplayed in every department from the first kick to the final whistle, how the hell did we go from being deserved winners against West Ham to being outplayed by a team in the same division?

It has been happening for about the last five seasons, whenever we play the best three or four teams in the division we barely wave a glove to them and just meekly surrender, particularly away from AG, be ready for the upcoming home games against Southampton and Leicester for much of the same

Loads of the kids who come from all over the place to Man City’s and United's academies end up with Manc accents. If you ever hear Paul Pogba speak English there's a Manc twang in there.

I still chuckle at Jan Molby and his scouse accent and of course we had that great linguist Joey Barton and his fluent French
