He didn't do well at Derby. He underachieved in finishing 6th only a few points above us whilst having some of the best individuals (like Mount) the Champ has seen in years , whilst part of a culture overspending to the extent that they are now fecked in L1

Finishing the season at giddy height of 6th, we can only dream, wouldn't be my first choice by the way,

All time record EVER for Bristol City wasn't it?! ....and he still held his position.

I don't know about that but City's run of 16 home games without a win (which Pearson was in charge of for the majority) takes some beating

More than likely, the new man will be in charge by Saturday I reckon. Therefore any chants should be pre game, as the team and new manager need our support during it.

Our new German manager will be in situ, we'll smash Wednesday 4-0 playing scintillating football and NP will be a distant memory, you heard it here first

Total shocked. SL must have someone lined up for manager and maybe the club sell is news in the waiting.

Kid has already stated that they've had their feelers out for a week or two, he's rarely wrong

    Thanks mate.

To be honest it's been a bit of a burden carrying around the Nige info for a couple of weeks. It's not nice hearing about his plight and then reading people's positive opinions of him on here.

That's why I'll nearly always share information I receive. I guess it's partly cathartic on my part, but I also think this kind of info should be public in the interests of the wider fanbase.

We deserve to know what's going on at OUR club.

Haha, don't know how you keep your info to yourself, i'd be singing like a canary after a few ciders if i had your info

Yeah it’s been ridiculous of NP, handing first team opportunities to our youth players as opposed to paying hundreds of thousands to loan in players and develop them for their owning club all whilst being near to FFP limits.  **** me sideways the delusion is real.

Steady Len, it's crazy not to use the loan market, every other football club in the league uses it (remember Tammy ?)

Think I know who you are talking about.

If it is, he allegedly was the reason why Danny Wilson left.

Obviously Tins or super Scott, Wilson had to go either way after that shit show at the Millenium

    Pray tell

I'm going to buck the trend and say good. I've nothing against him but we were not going anywhere under him either .

Those of you who want nothing more than perennial survival, i understand why you are upset.  But frankly I would rather we took a gamble on someone new.  If we go down, that's too bad.. but it's just a game. We'll come back. And if we get it right, we might just be able to push for something special

Tin-hat on here but to an extent i agree, he's had getting on for three years and the football is as poor now as when he took over, the likes of Hull, PNE Blackburn and now even Cardiff are passing us by with very little money spent by their up and coming young managers, i get the terrible injury list he has had to put up with this season (and to an extent the lack of funds from management) but it was no better last year even while we had the two wonder kids and less of an injury list, who can forget those woeful away performances at Swansea, Cardiff, Brum and Reading ?

I know i'm very must in the minority so will keep my head down for a few hours.

People should remember that without Steve Lansdown putting in £20m or so every year to keep the accounts balanced this club would be in L1. No previous owners have supported the club financially to this extent so a change of owner may well see us going down rather than up.

This sort of thing is easily forgotten on this forum

I'd like to see him being given time playing more in the centre. He's the type of player good opposition can close down and out wide he's left with no space to express his skills.

Up front we are woefully weak and players are too far apart so we become very predictable...think with his skils where in the middle he can turn to go in to more space could see him flourish and bring more players into attacking positions..

My thinking behind NP not picking him is he has not shown strength and speed to get back and forth quick enough as necessary for the type of game we are currently playing. Hi press requires all players committed and able. Has he not been able to up his game enough in these aspects...?

To be honest in my many years of following City we've never been the sort of club to accommodate players like him, even Jacki only lasted about 18 months

  11. Pearson has his reasons for not picking him which is fair enough but I don’t think he deserves criticism from fans saying “he hasn’t done enough” he’s barely had a chance and as others have said could he really do any worse than some of our strikers performance recently? You just know he’s going to pull up trees when he goes to another club, wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up back with Ainsworth at QPR in January!!!!
