Steve Evans fairly respectful, unless you're a Ref or Howard Webb.

The guy does come back from offside, but I think the new (?) rule means because the defender controls and plays the ball it resets. The fact that he then does the same as someone charging down a kick in Rugby, but with only one hand, seems to have passed the Ref by. Stevenage should have been 2/3 up by then though.

How has he not given a hand-ball for Rovers goal ?

I find it all absolutely baffling, bordering on the bizarre.

OK I’m just drawing an inference from what Nige has said, but it appears a COO who has been in post for what, 4-6 weeks, couldn’t find the time in that period to have a meaningful chat to the second most important person - after Steve - in his organisation?  Particularly odd given Nige’s recent health issues, contractural situation, the top level staffing upheavals and changing messages from the owner on availability of finance et al.  Then add to that, the Media Department doesn’t have a prepared press release available after the Nige ‘incident’.

If that is all correct, I can only draw one of three conclusions; that our COO/Head of Media are either 1) Incompetent 2) Unclear on their responsibilities or 3) Directed by Steve/legal advisor to ‘blank’ all things Nige.

I somehow doubt it would be 1 or 2 as I know we’re bad at lots of things off the field, but we can’t be that bad. So it must be 3 for me.

Little wonder that Nige became exasperated and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s totally disillusioned. It’s truly remarkable for me that he’s keeping himself together and providing clear, sound and positive leadership in such circumstance.

Do you actually know what has gone on other than the few words that NP has said? Far too much guess-work going on in this thread which isn't healthy

In my entire time on OTIB I have never witnessed more bedwetting based entirely on echo chambers and conjecture.

SL may or may not move on, NP may or may not move on. Either event is just another bump in the road.

Most of us will stay- BCFC will prevail. This is not 1982 or remotely similar.

I agree, the hysteria on here is unbelievable

I found the opposite to be the case. Rangers fans have always been great to me; while I have had strip lights thrown at me through bus windows  by the other lot. Had they been allowed off the bus I am sure I would have been killed.

Directly after an Old Firm game mind, which Rangers won 5-1.

The behaviour of the Rangers fans who came to the friendly match at AG a few years ago was impeccable. Celtic fans have a history of antagonising fans in England by singing provocative songs (Lee Rigby when they visited Sunderland FFS) ; and behaving badly. Shouting abuse at troops who were parading at Arsenal another example.

Haha, ask the residents of Manchester and Birmingham what they thought of visits from Rangers fans

My recollection was that the Aberfan chant was at a match pre-segregation, so 73/74’ish.

I can remember at the time, even as an early teen, that it crossed a ‘red line’ by a substantial margin and to this day I still find it abhorrent that people would lower themselves to that level of depravity. Think the Cardiff fans responded by singing something about the Swiss air crash, which had many North Somerset victims.

    Dark days indeed.

Possibly right, i knew someone who died in that crash

I was chased out of a bar by a (Big)group of Celtic thugs in Barcelona. I was there for a 2008 European Cup tie.

My crime being English among a bunch of Irish Catholic bigots

Longkesh 89 (yes that was his shirt) and his mates would have quite literally beaten me to death if I hadn’t dived in a parked taxi!

Under cover cops have to go to Celtic games to monitor who is taking the money for the cause and where it ends up!!

Glad you had a good experience!

When was the last time there was a major chant about Aberfan or Hillsborough at Ashton Gate? Was there ever one about Hilsborough at Ashton Gate??

Anti semetic chants. Give me a break! Most Spurs fans sing Yidoes themselves and most of them are Christian.

Celtic are a club of people who sing songs about British soldiers give money to the cause/The RA dedicated to killing And maiming British soldiers and some were involved (Longkesh 89 perhaps)

    —————-

Millwall for informational purposes were a club partially formed by Rangers supporting dockers that came to London to work. That’s why they have the Lion!

Idiots on both sides of the Glasgow divide.

I stopped watching England away after France '98 because of the Neanderthal chants of England fans about the Germans, Irish and French (If it wasn't for the English you'd be Krauts)  When it comes to Aberfan i can't remember that chanted against Cardiff since '74, that night there was a record amount of arrests ever made at a football match mainly because of the chant

Can’t argue with that mate.  I’m sure the Mancs love Burnham, while marvellous Marve is an object of ridicule in Bristol.

I still can’t work out what it is with Bristol. A beautiful city with so much potential, but with an unerring ability to **** up every opportunity to improve itself.

Bristol voted for a Mayor to overcome the continuously ‘hung’ council, which could never make important decisions.  They then get lumbered with two useless twonks in ‘red trousers’ and ‘marvellous Marve’.  Talk about jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire!🤦‍♂️

I voted not to have a mayor as i always thought that one man with so much power is dangerous while my brother was all for it, i've never let him forget it !!!

I wouldn’t necessarily blame brexit tbh.  London seems like a sponge that sucks up the vast majority of the money in the south and things generally seem to only get built if they directly benefit London.

The cynic in me suggests HS2 was only created to draw more people into London from the north, rather than benefit the north directly.  Maybe London is now happy to settle for Brum being in the commuter belt!

I doubt very much if the poorest towns in Cornwall are getting the money from our government that they were getting from the EU which the likes of Johnson promised so in this instance you certainly can blame Brexit

Completely agree PSE and it goes beyond all this so-called ‘Northern Powerhouse’ money being thrown at them in recent years.

I remember going to Manchester years ago and finding easy, cheap parking behind Manchester Piccadilly train station.  I then went through the station and couldn’t believe it when I saw all these free buses lined up in front of the station, with routes that fanned out over the whole city!

It really boils my p**s when you hear Burnham and his ilk banging on about they want equality with ‘them down south’, when what they really want is the same us London!

In Bristol, we’re back in the dark ages compared with Manchester and many other northern cities, let alone London!!!

All Burnham is doing is trying to get the best for the people he represents which is the complete opposite to what our Mayor does

I’d love to drag that whinger Andy Burnham down from Manchester and show him what we’ve got to deal with.

According to many oop north, we’ve all got it made down south, just because we’re at the same end of the country as London!!!

There are parts of Essex & Kent that are truly awful and Cornwall up till recently was the poorest region in the whole of Northern Europe, it's probably even worst now that they don't receive economic aid from the EU since Brexit

Don't know why that was but my Wycombe mate says he's been excellent and most other fans agree.

Wes Burns taken off this eve with his arm in a sling. Guess he may be a doubt for the game at AG later in the month.

Ipswich have already sold out the Ayteo - great support.

They used to bring 500 when they were rubbish, not such great support
