  1. My dad and a few other old timers he knows can’t be bothered with away games anymore, precisely because of the kind of scum that the original poster referred to. Their balls have barely dropped and after a few cans of White Lightning, they think they are invulnerable.
  2. I don’t think we should underestimate just how big of a result that was psychologically. Life after Pearson there may be!
  3. A coach that has given us a great reason to feel optimistic. Well done city!!!!
  4. New boss has had two weeks off to work with these players, implement his style, find his best team and the formation he wants. I feel that what we see tomorrow will tell us a lot about how things are going to pan out.
  5. The comments on here are way more entertaining than the game.
  6. I’m okay with other shades of blue but there’s a distinctive blue that reminds me of them which I really don’t like. I’ll avoid buying things in that shade. I know an old timer who takes it to another level. As far as I know, he’s refused to ever let a Sag into his house.. he even asks repairmen before they come in to make sure.
  7. I was firmly opposed to the appointment of Cotts. I thought he was a past it dinosaur, a long ball merchant and a typically uninspired managerial merry go round appointment. Change for the sake of change..: Boy was I wrong! He gave us the best season we ever had. I was really excited about SOD and that turned out terribly. So yeah let’s wait and see, although Manning will have his hands tied from day one, with Tinnion and the board really pulling the strings.
  8. I’m disgusted with the club and board for the events of the last seven days, their unjust sacking of Nige and those pathetic excuses for interviews. Manning himself deserves a clean slate though. I’m behind him and hope he can succeed.
  9. If you were a respected professional in your field, and you were offered a job working as subservient to a person who tried and failed miserably at your profession nearly two decades ago, what would you say? Eustace was never realistic, neither is Lampard, or Hughton or Williams. They are looking for a very specific type of person, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s a name we’ve never heard of.
  10. Not for me. I’m back on my annual visit to the UK in December, and I’m looking at other games to go to instead.
  11. It’s easy to get ourselves worked up into a stew after the last 24 hours, but I think any talk of a potential relegation battle should at least wait until after we’ve a) made an appointment and b) seen how the players react on Saturday. If we make another appointment like Dean Holden, and our injuries continue to mount then yes, we can probably start worrying.
  12. It’s just a bit of a dumb comment. People’s thoughts on this forum regarding how we might perform have zero impact on the outcome of the game and it doesn’t mean somebody isn’t supporting the club if they think we might struggle (not that I was even saying I thought we’d lose, I was just pointing out that Coventry fans will be confident)
  13. You misunderstood my post.
  14. I don’t understand why people are so bothered by my post. Coventry are on a good little run at the moment. They’ll probably look at our inconsistent form, particularly at home and be confident that they can come away with a win. We’d be exactly the same wouldn’t we?
  15. If I was a Coventry fan, I’d be confident of 3 points.
  16. I wonder if he can turn their season around. They look awful at the moment, conceding goals for fun.
  17. That’s a far more accurate comment than you probably intended it to be.
  18. Really hope this is just social media vermin talking nonsense, and that there’s no truth in it. Typical Leeds behaviour though.
  19. It’s way too early to start talking about Ipswich. We aren’t even a quarter of the way through the season yet.
  20. We surely don’t need to feel ashamed or too downbeat about this result, but proud? Really? It was a game we probably all expected to battle hard in and ultimately lose and that’s exactly what happened. I’m pretty much just going through the motions right now.
  21. Life is actually a game of FM which I’m playing, and I’m rubbish at it.
  22. https://www.vipbox.lc/football/leeds-united-vs-bristol-city-streams This stream has been flawless, for anyone still looking. Quite fortunate to be level really, we haven’t played too badly but they simply have better players than us. Hopefully we can avoid a 14th defeat in 17 games against Leeds.
  23. I’d never watch them, unless it was against us.
  24. We all know racism is wrong but sometimes it takes being on the end of a racist slur to truly appreciate just how vile and hurtful it is. I live in China and I’ve been called “white ghost” and told to “go back to my country” a couple of times. It’s not a memory that ever goes away. Of course white on black racism may be seen to carry more weight and stigma due to historical context and that’s an understandable viewpoint imho. That said, if somebody feels that they’ve been a victim of racism, then whatever skin colour they are, or whatever the background of the abuser, they should have their allegations treated seriously.
