  1. It’s way too early to start talking about Ipswich. We aren’t even a quarter of the way through the season yet.
  2. We surely don’t need to feel ashamed or too downbeat about this result, but proud? Really? It was a game we probably all expected to battle hard in and ultimately lose and that’s exactly what happened. I’m pretty much just going through the motions right now.
  3. Life is actually a game of FM which I’m playing, and I’m rubbish at it.
  4. https://www.vipbox.lc/football/leeds-united-vs-bristol-city-streams This stream has been flawless, for anyone still looking. Quite fortunate to be level really, we haven’t played too badly but they simply have better players than us. Hopefully we can avoid a 14th defeat in 17 games against Leeds.
  5. I’d never watch them, unless it was against us.
  6. We all know racism is wrong but sometimes it takes being on the end of a racist slur to truly appreciate just how vile and hurtful it is. I live in China and I’ve been called “white ghost” and told to “go back to my country” a couple of times. It’s not a memory that ever goes away. Of course white on black racism may be seen to carry more weight and stigma due to historical context and that’s an understandable viewpoint imho. That said, if somebody feels that they’ve been a victim of racism, then whatever skin colour they are, or whatever the background of the abuser, they should have their allegations treated seriously.
  7. Can’t see us getting anything here, except maybe a brick through the window of our supporters bus.
  8. I’ve felt much more entertained watching City than I have in recent seasons, and to me that’s just as important as our improved results. I honestly think we’ve been great to watch in our games against Millwall, Hull, Swansea, WBA, Plymouth and Stoke (the latter absolutely robbed us). I’ve enjoyed watching Sykes and Knight in particular. If the rest of the season continues in this manner, and we finish 11th then I’d be satisfied. I’m a bit more concerned about our long term prospects, with the vultures likely to be circling again next summer, and little sign that we are able to spend. Hopefully Tins and the academy can keep churning out bright young players.
  9. They had such a solid manager in Darren Moore too. Absolute shambles.
  10. I guess that balances out Saturday…. Great team performance, absolutely robbed at the death. Tonight; woeful for 80 minutes then Conway steals the game. I felt absolutely sick then; elated now. What football does to us….
  11. I accepted long ago that this club is never going to get promoted, so it’s honestly not something I’ve considered.
  12. I don’t think he’s ever liked anything in his life. It must be a burden to be so miserable and pathetic
  13. Congratulations on our 3-2 defeat. Hope you enjoy your evening.
  14. It was a freak result. Even after the subs, there looked like only one winner. 9 times out of 10, we’d had scored a couple in that second half and won 4-2. That would have been the result that our performance deserved but there are the very odd occasions where you just need to put things down to the footballing gods, and today was one of those.
  15. I don’t think they deserve any praise whatsoever. Awful awful side. They’ll be down there.
  16. At least we can take solace in the fact that we don’t have to go back to Stoke. That place and the people in it are nothing, and will always be nothing. Nothing will change that.
  17. The thought of this pile of crap going home with 3 points makes me sick.
  18. You’re suggesting that before anyone starts any topic about anything, they should do a search to see if something similar has been posted before? I don’t think most people operate that way, and as a forum moderator, I don’t think it’s appropriate for you to make passive aggressive comments towards users. You seem to do this often.
  19. Not everybody reads this forum regularly, just saying…
  20. Leicester commentators saying he was responding to abuse from our fans.
  21. We mostly defended very well, and were a refereeing decision away from getting an unlikely point I’m a bit disappointed that we didn’t make more of our limited forays into their half though. Some of our set piece play was very wasteful. Overall we’ve got to be glad that we’ve got this one out of the way. Their squad is far too good for the Championship.
  22. Yeah but, yeah but tickets are expensive and I can’t get them anyway and it’s a long drive to Liverpool/Manchester/London…..
  23. I remember listening to this game on the radio at home as an 8 year old. It was just a couple of weeks before the Louie Donawa derby game.
