In this case, my thoughts consisted of "I have incurable cancer, maybe life is now too short to get involved in unnecessary dialogue".

I believe that I need to focus on the positives in life, and the laughs on here have provided some of that in the past, for which I thank all posters.

Very sorry to hear that ITN, you have my sympathies, you seem from the outside like a very strong character - keep fighting.

While many of us here will take the piss out of the gas (and admittedly sometimes will even over-step the line sometimes while in doing so) - We are all football fans, and as has been said by others, you (along with Miah, and Bert) are well respected members of the OTIB community.

That did look suspiciously like he pulled up. Hopefully he was just frustrated at not being able to nick the ball

Impossible to know what order the smaller clips are assembled together in, but _after_ him groaning he he reappears in the background running back and talking to Wiliams just after joe scores.

Flemming also mentions Andy/Andi (maybe King? maybe Wiemann?) when doing his speech at the end of the video - talking about "one minute left, fifty seconds left ... lets protect the ball"

Agree with other thoughts on here about Flemming, he is excellent IMO

A superb comment on that story:

Looking at average away attendances last season compared with home gate averages, I think it would be reasonable to make a comparison with Bradford City i.e. if we had the capacity then our crowd would I'm sure been 15,000 + same as theirs. So, yes I'm looking forward to the coming season but I'm also going to bang on and on about the NEED for a new stadium

Why would their attendances be 15,000+ if they had the capacity? They couldn't even fill their 9000 maximum until the last couple of games..... Agree they need a new stadium due to theirs falling apart, but it isn't because they need it for capacity.

The flawed logic here is astounding

They didn't sell out (even at whatever their reduced capacity was) for at least 3/4 of their games

They had 5 attendances above 9K - two of those were local derbies against fellow promotion chasing sides.

Before the new year they struggled to break 7K

Now they NEED a bigger stadium??

Now their loan signings have gone back, I give it a few weeks of them getting rinsed in League one by some proper sides before their crowds are back to their usual 7K numbers.

Watch it they  are coming for us

In the last 20 years there have been ONLY 5 seasons where there were 2 divisions between the 2 clubs.

The rest of the time it has been only 1 division difference - This is as it will be next season

Forgive me for not holding my breath while they "come for us" though - 15 seasons of abject failure to reach parity with us or get promoted from league one (something we have done twice in that time) suggests the gap is more likely to end if we fail and get relegated, rather than they succeed and get promoted to the championship,

I'm still around? We have to win today to take It to the last game at Wallsall next Saturday and hope that other results go for us. We're looking at a near sell out today around 13,000 with  less than 200 Barrow fans.

Have your club resorted to continually reducing the capacity of the venue until they can claim a "sell-out"?

Most of  my Gashead mates seem to think that they will get promoted next season from league 1 ,as long as King Joey is still in charge.

Not like gashead to get ahead of themselves - they are by no means certain of exiting League 2 yet.

Since 1982 what have you won sags? And what have we won?

how many years we been above you now?

cheerio then, yes we’ve had a rotten few years, as have you, you seem to be doing well atm in league 2..

    league 2 ?????????

    mind the gap

I answered this a few seasons ago with a chart (pre robins logo i notice!)

Over the course of our complete history we have far more honours than them including runners up in FA cup and Division 1 (albeit in early 1900's)

If you took just the period since 1982 - our record compares pretty favourably to their entire history

If they do go up at least Derby will have a massive club to visit and enjoy a cup final atmosphere

Predicting it now - If the gas go up there will be some post on sagchat next year following one of their two matches against (WR?)DC - It will go along the lines of

"chatting to a rams fan in the pub,  he  told me that we brought more fans/made more noise than BCFC"

i.e. He a cornered an unsuspecting derby fan, who had dropped his guard for a fatal few minutes - The Derby fan when trapped and harassed basically said anything that he thought the dribbling saghead wanted to hear to get away quickly!

Yep - if they go up they’ll spend the summer spouting off about how they will soon be the top club in Bristol and then the fixture lists will be published and they’ll realise they will probably have to get past the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton, Bolton, Pompey, Sunderland, Barnsley and Derby before they can even contemplate getting close to our level ... sad, deluded souls in da famous quarterz ... they once believed they were suddenly the sixth richest club in English football, where did it all go wrong?! ????

The deluded few almost certainly think they are bigger than all of them!

Some friends of mine who are die hard Newcastle fans said they are going to gas games now we have Elliot Anderson playing for us

They said he is utterly brilliant and they watched him against Arsenal and thought he was outstanding !

They are going to Oldham to watch him, silly sods

If this post doesn’t sum there fan base then nothing will. By Henbury gas

    The End

This is how a seed of  delusion starts..... (though if this was really posted by HenburyGas it could be just be more grade-A Fanatasy BS like his "mate" who supposedly was attacked at Ashton Gate)

He may have Newcastle supporting mates, if so they may have said they might/will go to watch an on-loan player at Oldham.

Has he then just jumped to the conclusion that they "said they are going to gas games now" or did they actually say that would attend more games I wonder?

Before too long the mutants will be suggesting...

    • Hundreds of Newcastle fans are now also gasheads
    • All Newcastle fans will have gas as their 2nd team
    • Then we will be hearing reports of Newcastle Fans saying the gas fans are amazing "atmosphere great" etc. most noise etc.
    • They will then be saying they need a bigger new stadium to accomodate the travelling Toon army* who will surely turn up in thousands to support the Gas when Newcastle are not playing (even once this loan is terminated).
    • Finally they will be suggesting there is some sort of "special relationship" with Newcastle. They will be picking out fringe players from St James Park to get on Loan next season etc... so if Newcastle use their new wealth to strengthen, cue suggestions next summer of players like Dwight Gayle coming in on loan to Chernobyl because of their "special" relationship. Despite the fact that most on here suggest Gayle is way out of even our affordable range,

Enjoying the regular appearance of a microfibre cloth. Yesterday the mens game on Robins TV could have done with a bit of that.

Arguably yesterday it would have been better for the microfibre cloth just to be draped over the lens so we could not see!

Nice to see the women's team back to winning ways today

Sorry if its a dumb question but what does further arrested mean?

I am sure @Fordy62 will be able to answer - but i presume in the course of these investigations further offences came to light so they have arrested him again for those.

I thought Williams looked very good when he came on - we need a run of games from him.

While i agree that he looked very good in the brief time he was on, and a run of games would be great under normal circumstances, I REALLY hope that we nurse him back a bit and don't try and flog him x3 a week and break him in 2-3 weeks like we did the last 2 times.

    The delusion is astounding

    So to summarise:

    League Position

    City  - 15/24

    Rovers - 18/24

    Points from Playoffs

    City - 10 (GD deficit ito 6th is 12)

    Rovers - 9 (GD deficit to 7th is 10)

    Points from Relegation

    City - 11

    Rovers - 7

    Conclusion

    City - Relegation dog fight

Rovers - "Bristol Rovers are 18th in League Two and nine points of the play-offs, but with games in hand and the league table cluttered they remain in the promotion conversation"

    WTAF????

This is frankly embarassing from a reporter (even one from Bristol Live) - its no wonder the mutants that inhabit their swamp continually spout BS like they are "coming from us"  when the local Journo and the club is feeding them a constant diet of propaganda that would make a North Korean leader blush.
