That one did top the lot. Defender V Keeper given as a foul against the attacker.

I would love to see the assessors report .

    Totally agree.

Sam Bell basically went out of his way to not collide with the keeper. The defender collides with the keeper. Keeper rolls around with his hand in the air like he's been shot. Keeper gets the free kick and miraculously recovers in 2.3 seconds.

The look on Sam's face tells you everything you need to know.

There were many decisions last night that were quite literally mind blowing.

If we play like the arrogant t**ts that went down to Southampton or the directionless team last night and you could very well put one in the win column.

You obviously didn't watch our game last night then?

    We were bloody awful.

Apart from TC's cameo. That was a thing of beauty.

Bamford doesn't go down like a sack of spuds or roll around as if he's auditioning for the foul of the year. He is trying to play on by getting to his feet when the ref blows.

As others have said, the keeper's studs were raised (he was entitled to go for the ball and out of the area). I query the need to call PB a 'Cheat' on this occasion.

He doesn't roll around but he did go down like a sack of spuds. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Bamford isn't out of control though that's the difference. Not defending Bamford but does the keeper launching himself put him off balance? He'll be the only one that knows that.

Bamford is in control of his instinct which is to try and con the ref i.e. cheat rather than stay on his feet which he could have. If the ball had gone to his right instead of to the covering defender, I bet he would have stayed on his feet because he would have been in on goal.

The only question is should it still be a free kick? The answer in my opinion is yes, because the keeper was reckless in that he was never getting the ball and just because there was no contact it doesn't mean no free kick. Keeper should have got a Yellow. However, Bamford should also get a Yellow for trying to con the ref.

  5. I think the Championship is living up to its reputation. This is demonstrated by the concertinaed look of the top half of the table. Much of where we will or could end up will be to a certain extent out of our control. In the main, that will be injuries and how long term those injuries are.

All in all we look competitive and a division that apart from Leicester any team are there for the taking on a regular basis.

Have you ever thought of being a comedian in your spare time!

It's going to be a bit chilly up in Yorkshire compared to the balmy temperatures of the West Country. We that in mind I will be bringing a Ferret to put down my trousers to keep me warm rather than expose my whippet ( Oooo Matron ) to the elements.

In my view City will never get to the PL under current ownership. Just need to accept it.

I know I may get pelters on here for posting this but, I'm not massively bothered about getting to the Premier League. I doubt whether I will see it my life time (in my 50's) in any case and I'm pretty comfortable with that.

If we ever did get there, I don't want to see us get walloped week in week out. I don't want to have celebrations and or matches with VAR spoiling my day out. God I hope that VAR doesn't get filtered down in to the Championship.

I also don't want glory hunting fans emerging from the wood work if we were to get there. It just feels that there are more negatives than positives by getting to the so called 'promised land'.

So many clubs go up and then come down and the cycle starts again. For every Fulham there is a Norwich, Derby, WBA, Reading etc, etc.

Time will tell but I think sometimes we as loyal City fans need to be careful what we wish for. I'll get my tin hat on!!

For all those hoards that will be heading to Leicester on saturday can I suggest visiting where Richard the third was buried in the car park

There are no lunch time football games,so no excuse there.

If you are arriving by Train there is a "HOP" bus FREE OF CHARGE which will take you through the centre of Leicester and drops you off near where richard the third was buried

The "HOP" bus which runs every ten minutes can then take you towards the football ground

NOTE" the hop bus is in one direction only

Which means if you spot one after the game its heading towards the train station

    Thanks for the idea.

After careful consideration, I've decided to go to the pub instead.

Presumably some fans were overstepping the mark, got a warning, disregarded it and out they went.

Based on the Tiktok video, one especially will be the for the high jump as he aimed a headbutt- a sly headbutt at that- at a Security detail ejecting him!

Matey shouldn't have been allowed in to the ground in the first place with that ridiculous ponytail !!

Excited with the prospect of Nige potentially leaving after this season?

Controversial post I know. Now, don’t get me wrong, the job he has done to this point has been great. He has trimmed the wage bill and has had limited funds at his disposal since he’s arrived which could be detrimental to how his success will be perceived in years to come. Look at when Leicester won the premier league, a lot of credit came Niges way from the players who were involved who said if it wasn’t for Nige sorting issues behind the scenes they wouldn’t have had that success. Are we at a similar crossroads?

The football since he’s taken over hasn’t been great. We had terrible form at home for a long time, struggled to take the game to the opposition and have treaded water in mid table for his reign. Has Nige sorted the club out off the pitch but has subsequently ran his course with the club? Is SL ready to take the plunge in another manager with fresh ideas who will bring, in my opinion, a much needed footballing identity to the club? Perhaps why we’re seeing the purse strings tightened after the sale of Scott & Semenyo?

Entitely my opinion but I feel we need a new coach, not a manager, with a clear footballing identity and style of play to take us to the next level.

This Post smacks of, I'm a bit bored and could do with some notifications and a reaction.

    Congratulations. It worked!

    Maths - 13,464 > 20,351

Geography - Iran isn't in the Middle East

Human geography - Middle Eastern women all like having to wear hijabs

Law - A drunken fracas with nightclub bouncers is worse than assaulting two women, or beating up your wife and beating up a random taxi driver because you're annoyed with the wait at McDonalds

Business - UK-registered Bristol Sport is a tax-avoiding corporate entity, whereas Jersey-registered Dwane Sports isn't.

Moral philosophy - An aside in a press interview made by a former manager is embarrassing, piping in clapping noise isn't

Engineering - Having a modern stadium = soulless; having a three-sided ramshackle dump = character

History - Last time BRFC beat BCFC at Ashton Gate - 27 years ago; Last season BRFC had larger crowds than BCFC circa 65 years ago; Last time BRFC were in a division above BCFC - 49 years ago; last time BRFC were in a league position in the same league above BCFC - 23 years ago.

    He's a mine of information.

    Good work RR.

That was the same season when we won 2-0 at AG, wasn't it? A Beadle double as I recall. The second being pretty special - I was right behind it.

That 4-2 was something of a collector's item, wasn't it? One of the reasons your lot repeatedly folded at Trumpton was because they couldn't handle the atmosphere and the novelty of playing in an environment where the fans get behind their team.

Also right behind your sister at the same time. Multi tasking. Fair play.

I don't want to stir things up further, but opposition managers have commented on our ability to create an atmosphere and get behind our team. Both Steve Evans and Derek Adams have said this, along with others.

Even at Twerton, we created an atmosphere, got behind the team and turned it into an intimidating place to play.

In contrast, I remember Gary Johnson attempting to create an atmosphere at your ground by encouraging your fans to 'bounce around the ground'. Happily, none of our managers ever needed to resort to such desperate and frankly embarrassing measures.

So the first 8 words of your post is a lie. To be honest 99% of the posts you have made are at best pathetic.

However, to use Steve Evans to back up your belief that you lot create an atmosphere is truly astounding. Then you bring up Trumpton. It wasn't even your ground and it wasn't intimidating, it was just shite and not unlike the Mem. At least Trumpton had 4 sides to I suppose.

I'm actually touched - you all appear almost as interested in my own club as your own.

It is very entertaining, and this is in large part because we haven't morphed into a soulless corporate entity, unlike a certain club I could touch with a very short stick.

Oh you are touched alright. No doubt about it.

Friend and Hunt aren't first choices - they are cover for the RB and LB positions. The Dad Army's jokes were briefly amusing but overlooked the essential point that, of the likely first-choice back four, Wilson is the only one over 22.

    Yay!

    Joey is back!

Probably won’t be popular for saying it but with the signings of players like George Fiend, Jack Hunt and Harvey Vale and with the likes of Scott Sinclair already onboard I think that unfortunately Rovers could do well this season. The team certainly looks a lot stronger than this time last year.

I agree they 'look stronger' when you look at the names. However, it's a bloody long season mostly 2 games a week and sometimes more. The older legs are unlikely to sustain playing that amount of games and older players pick up knocks and take so much longer to recover (speaking from experience). If you scratch under the surface of their best 14 players it isn't good at all. Let's be honest even the top 14 aren't that great.

I'm looking forward to it all falling apart yet again and laughing along with all like minded City fans on here.
