Does tonight's result mean we are currently a worse team than Northern Ireland? They only lost 1-0

Bailey Wright is playing for Australia and dominating the Peru attack which only goes to show how poor the 2 teams are. Still goalless and going to extra time.
Surprised he's only 29. Somehow I thought he was older

Sadly, I didn't manage to hunt down the crepes when I went there for a concert. Have to say that it's an impressive set up you have there.
I believe both were available at the recent Killers concert. The jerk chicken was lovely and no queue, presumably as it was inside and not outside where everybody seemed to be queuing

If there was a way of finding out would love to know the split in that crowd between football fans and the type that think OK magazine is a valuable source of news
Whilst the OK readers may well have been in the stadium, I suspect the TV audience would have mainly been football fans. Yes the football is not perfect but there is still the odd great pass or tackle from the ex professional or a surprise from a celebrity. It also raised £15m for charity.

I've seen nothing but positive tea tion to his signing.
He's clearly been one of the lower divisions' best players.
It's a big step up from L2 to Championship, no question - but it's not as big a step as it would be from West Broms youth team, to the Championship.
Jamie Vardy and Ian Wright did bigger step ups and it didn't turn out too bad for them. I like his attitude he's obviously been promised playing time, and feels he has a point to prove . A fans favourite at Forest Green, I think he could quickly become one of ours.

Even better you mean? After all he did score a lot of runs while he was captain.
So it's not if you 'Hate the Gas' stand up but if you 'love Joe Root' shoes off. .

Im sure a lot of clubs would take him, thinking they will be the ones who finally get a tune out if palmer, will have to wait and see happens i guess,,, i dont hold much ill will towards cov or palmer
Neither do I. I thought both Wells and Palmer would provide the creative spark for us, but as has been proven many times some players just aren't the right fit for the club or vice versa.

A strange buy nonetheless .
and do you think it's a strange buy for Mark Robbins?. Palmer hasn't played much for us this season, and yet Coventry seem happy to sign him.

53,000 Sell out this afternoon (12th June) @ London Stadium Celebrities v World XI for UNICEF.. On ITV . Two interesting managers Harry Redkapp v Arsene Wenger, and a chance to see some stars of the not too distant past Results currently stand at 5-5. One thing it won't be is a bore draw.

Assume Shaw & Chilwell are injured, I’d still rather Targett/Creswell/Justin, unless they’re all injured.
There's always Lloyd Kelly or Aaron Cresswell.

I wonder what this means in respect of Aden Flints move and indeed Wayne Rooney.

Thanks. Knew it would involve money...
It wasn't the money. It was the players felt it was a better atmosphere than the Millennium

It's human nature to be fair. Take Pickford as one example. Played in the Euro's every game, plus most internationals since and a whole season for Everton where for the last six weeks every single game he has been involved in (bar the last one) has been absolutely massive and carrying huge pressure not to make mistakes that have dire consequences. That requires top level concentration and nobody can tell me, regardless of your bank balance, that doesn't take it out of you mentally. It only has to affect you by 5% and if you replicate that over 7 or 8 players in a team then that team has a lot of sharpness missing, just like England did earlier. Whilst Pickford was obviously not to blame tonight what possible disadvantage would there have been in playing Ramsdale who would clearly want and need the game time? I'm not sure what Southgate was thinking with that team selection...........and tbf it wasn't hindsight either.
The goalkeeper is always a difficult position , yes Pickford played well but we know he plays well for England (he's also been better at club level lately) . This game was the ideal one to have rested him and played Ramsdale . It will be Interesting what Gareth Southgate does on Tuesday , I suspect as we lost, Pickford will be retained so an opportunity lost.

Listening on TALKSPORT Gabby Abongalor bemoaning England losing against Hungary and saying Hungary are a poor team. If Hungary are poor , what does that make England ? We are not the only so called 'Big Club' to lose this week. They beat us and I just wish sometimes we would accept that on the day they played better than us, and say to the opposition when they beat us 'Well Done'. Now onto Tuesday

He endeared himself to us because he didn't mess about and he put a great ball in the box ...
He was also a great leader on the pitch.

Although he only played 40 games for us, we missed his presence in midfield for a lot longer.

The Killers gig on 26th May
Before that Hull City (as a season ticket holder).
COYR.
Me too. Don't see the point of someone coming on here lauding the fact that they are only bothered to come down to the gate when The big boys are in town, and uses a player that hasn't even been playing for us as an excuse. As a true fan you take the highs and the lows (and there have been more lows in recent seasons.) remembering that without support there would be no team to support. If you are unable to come to the gate for financial or other legitimate reasons fine, and if you just can't be bothered that's also OK but just admit it and not make lame excuses.

All about the Roma defence tonight. Not a lot of service for Tammy so a quiet game but great achievement for him.
Sinisterra looks one to keep an eye on at Feyenoord, only 22.
Not the best game tonight, but Chris Smalling was excellent

I think the other thing with a world cup or Euros squad is that Henderson may bring things to the table off the pitch. Even if he does not start every game, having an experienced midfield cover who can also provide some leadership to a relatively young squad may have more value than simply his football contribution.
I'm not necessarily sure that he'd be in the four or five midfielders I'd pick for a major tournament but - after Rice and Phillips (who has had a season of injury) and Bellingham, who surely merits inclusion - there is a collection of central midfielders who you could make a good case for for the last one or two places. I'd get why people would put Gallagher or Ward-Prowse ahead of Henderson but I'd also get why people would put Henderson ahead of Gallagher or Ward-Prowse.
I would have liked to have seen James Maddison who has had such a good season with Leicester (18 goals and 12 assists) included. He must be wondering what he has to do to get in the squad. .

Bromley beat Wrexham 1-0 in the FA Trophy. Good save from the Bromley keeper who is on loan from Brentford.

Players do come and go, however do remember that they are no different than you or I and have feelings etc.
Callum was amazing when he met my son, giving him so much time and encouraging him to pursue a dream of playing football.
Last week was mental health week, and mayn don't know some of the injuries that Callum has faced as he is quite a private person.
Many may say he should/could have delivered more, but I will say this - from what I saw, he gave his all and both he, and his family cared deeply about this club. He also did a lot in the community that was unnoticed and unreported, and represented Bristol City as a professional at all times.
Good luck Callum and I for one hope you go on to achieve more in your career.
He was always happy to support the quizes etc run by the supporters Trust and also a great ambassador for CHSW. An undoubted talent when he joined but only saw flahes of his ability and injury knocked his confidence. Good luck to him. A new start is exactly what he needs.

I just see it as another way of getting Bristol City on the World stage. Play the Wurzles , Elton John, Killers etc and just happen to mention they've played at Ashton Gate home of Bristol City. Move over JP.
