If found guilty I'd love to see Man City sueing him for breach of contract, and him having to repay the millions they've given him, and some of this money given to the victims.

He signed a 5 year contract in 2017, so presumably OOC in the Summer. The trial is now scheduled for Jul/Aug so highly unlikely to be a Man City player then. Any thoughts of Man City suing him though would presumably have to wait until the result of the trial.

He made it clear he wasn’t going to celebrate after his goal and then did a kind of half apology to the South Stand. Got a fair bit of applause from those around me.  Thought that was nice touch all round. He’s a classy guy, although he did get booked for dissent in second half!

Also nice to see our players such as Kalas and Max make a point of going up to him at the end of the match.

Apparently he was acting similar against Derby so seems part of his persona.

And the QPR fans have called him out over it, so doesn't appear to go down too well with them either.

So what is the name of that C*** who was officiating tonight and do we have history with him?

Interesting how many fans and pundits bemoan the fact that referees do not have any experience as a professional  player. The ref tonight was Andy Davies the only EFL ref to have played professional football (Yeovil, Gillingham, Portsmouth)A point Nigel was quick to make tonight in his after match comments and his incredulity at some of the decisions made (or not made) tonight .

It would have been much better if the EFL had got a grip and decided to implement a winter break over Christmas and New Year.

We now have supporters not attending and clubs being directed to play if they have 14 fit players including a keeper - that ensures a level playing field doesn't it. Not.

I understand that it would produce a fixture pile up (postponing games has the same effect), but extending the season by a month is a small price to pay.

Its not too late to implement.

Trouble is extending the season causes an issue for next season with The World Cup in November.

Of course the prices aren’t outrageous for a single match but, in the context of the club previously asking fans to forgo season ticket refunds previously, shows how far out of touch they are with the fans currently.

The club missed a great opportunity to thank the fans once again.

They won’t gain much from selling 8000 tickets.

Not outrageous, but when West Ham v Leeds is £15 & £5 children, you wonder how City works out their prices. Yes children are £1 but adults won’t pay the £23 to accompany them.

    Either isn't it?

My passport came back online today which is a relief.

PCR’s don’t give an instant result, whereas a lateral flow does . Also you can pick up Lateral Flow test at your library (pack of 7) or from certain pharmacies

The Mirror are reporting that Lloyd Kelly is a target for Newcastle in January. I’m assuming we have a sell on clause, so would be worth a few million if true.

But also a target for Liverpool (who might not offer as much as Newcastle)

You wouldn’t be attending somewhere that requires you to gain entry with evidence of vaccine status. You can show a negative lateral flow.

Recommend stocking up on lateral flow tests from local library or from local pharmacies via NHS app

I think he definitely was but he’s in his 50s now and matured a great deal since then having made and then lost millions. He’s far less impulsive these days and he does actually talk some real sense on TalkSport

He and Jim White bounce off each really well.

I agree. While he is paid to be provocative, I think some of his comments hit the bail on the head. Particularly with regard to Football finances, and the workings of the majority of footballers contracts.

After we conceded the goal I thought that was the most comfortable we have been in the last 10 minutes. Far from perfect but better

Exactly as COD inferred in his after match interview.

I’ll be backing LJ tomorrow.  As much as some of his interviews grate, I’d be quite up for him saying a few naughty things tomorrow night after a win.

I think LJ had a love for the club, and MA a love for the profit. So I hope LJ wins , he gave us some good times and some not so good. He’s  on one of his infamous losing streaks at the moment and is under pressure having had only 1 win in their last 6 competitive games , but tomorrow could be the day that changes

I agree with this. Even if it isn't "long" it's the third bout in a short timespan, and - harsh as it may be - in a 'normal' job it would be under scrutiny from the managment.

I would hope in a 'normal' job that the management would be supportive rather than scrutinising. I know several people in 'normal' occupations who have/are suffering from long covid who are getting support from their employers. Without this support they could easily become depressed. Unfortunately this virus and its effects are a learning curve for all of us. Football is a cut & throat business, but I hope we give Nig a bit more time, and that the players step up.

It is concerning, to say the least, that NP is unwell enough to be on 'indefinite leave'. I wish him a speedy recovery, but the cynic in me says that we have seen the last of him as manager.

As I mentioned earlier, this is giving me nightmare-ish déjà vu from the totally bizarre period of time leading up to (and including) Steve Coppell's departure - which IIRC was also mired by huge amounts of speculation but ultimately attributed to poor mental/physical health?

Unfortunately 'indefinite leave' appears to be a common feature for many with long covid. You feel better and then you are knocked back again.  You only have to look at Steve Cotterill .

  15. Interesting that on Monday  TALKSPORT have an Interview special with Neil Warnock pla ned some time ago to celebrate his longevity. Don't know if it is prerecorded or live (If the former it will need an addendum). Maybe he will mention us, as he has done in previous interviews.
