Think he could do well for the Gas. He netted a decent return @ Swindon Scoring 11 in 37 games ( don't know how many games he started)I suspect he would have stayed at Swindon(they triggered the one year extension) but for the wage debacle .

Ruth Davison, Refuge's chief executive, said: "Bristol Rovers' average attendance pre-Covid was 8,320. If that was compromised entirely of women, at least 2,080 would have experienced domestic abuse at an average game.
Blimey, over 2,000 gas girls are abused every home match
Don’t think the final comment was necessary. It belittles a serious subject. I know both men and women who have been domestically abused , most are either too concerned for their family/children or embarrassed to do anything about it.

I'm wondering about the Blackpool game as already have tickets.
HMG are saying large events may need a passport arrangement but only from September. This seems crazy, bonkers, whatever word you want to insert for illogical.
I can see there may be a reason now when 66% are fully jabbed. By end Sept it will probably be 85-90%. So why have all the hassle of a check starting then when the population have pretty much all got the best protection they are ever gonna get from covid?
Surely more logical to require it now and stop once the vaccine rollout finishes. The only reason for announcing it seems to be to bounce young people into getting a jab. What a cowardly way to do it, causing chaos to businesses. If they want everyone to be jabbed then politicians should have the balls to mandate it rather than create chaos for businesses.
Because a vast number of 25 30 year olds won’t have had their 2nd jab by August but by September they would all have had the opportunity

I'll second this. Best steak I've had by miles.
I also agree with the other poster about Three Brothers. Great burger, but not as good as Squeezed down Wapping Wharf. Unbelievable burger there.
Seven Lucky Gods as another mentioned is also great, their korean fried chicken is a must try.
Caribbean croft is decent if you like that sort of cuisine! Curry goat & brown stew chicken there are both very nice.
I’ll agree as well. Although I also like Mugshot https://www.mugshotrestaurants.com
Excellent steaks and good friendly service

Bristol city boys are treated differently. No fees , mini buses, kit on time/ more kit.
I just think they should be treated equally as the girls have earned the right to be there aswell.
Seems strange to me when the owner is worth billions but still charges the academy's parents so that the womens team is funded.
When Chelsea reached the Champions league final they were remarking how in the early days they relied on players like JohnTerry to help them out financially.
Hopefully times are more enlightened now and a way can be found to put the women on a more even footing. They are after all representing Bristol City. -

Tanya still on maternity leave, and both Marco & Loren gone.
Will be interesting to see who comes in as Head Coach for the upcoming season, knowing they can potentially bring in their own assistants
Interesting listening to Emile Heskey yesterday. He’s currently manager of Leicester women and said he thinks there is more excitement anticipation in the women’s game at the moment and certainly where his ambitions lie. Think City women’s could be an attractive job for someone.

Probably had a
£10m£300k release clause at the GasFair play to the Gas they did include a number of clauses when they sold him for promotion etc. (Would probably buy them a whole new team).

Back to the scene of his major triumphs: 2012-15 under his management saw several league and cup wins (assuming Vicky Jepson is making way).
The thought is that Liverpool were such serial winners then, but have now spent a couple of unremarkable seasons and ended up third in the second tier (behind Leicester City and Durham). It's not a place where a glittering history makes much impact. Tough times ahead, methinks.
Vicky left by 'mutual consent' in January. Amber Whitely was interim manager and won the Championship manager of the month ward for April

"Over 1,000" converted using gasmaths means they've sold 12million.
That must have been the maths used in the TALKSPORT quiz on Sunday. They had to guess the attendance for a game between The Gas and Man City. They guessed 12000+ Actual answer was in the 8000s.

I'm really not sure about Bartons standing within the game but I wouldn't think it is that high.
So would clubs want to loan their younger players to a club where he is manager ?
I would think they are at a disadvantage in that respect.
It might be higher than you think. When he was at Fleetwood he got good loans from the likes of Burnley, Stoke & Rangers. Plus to give the Gas their due they have had some good strikers in their time

Result pretty much as expected against a top four side, but blimey, 0-1 and really nothing in it.
Got to win their last game, but given this performance I would not rule that out.
Except we should have had a penalty so 1 point lost rather than 3 dropped.

Carlisle and Harrogate are both decent towns to visit , perhaps just not for the football.
