  1. Bigger than Charlton and Pompey forgetting about the FA Cup win and Charltons time in the Prem.

Haven't averaged over 10k roughly since I was born, jeez, really!!!!

Weirdly I think they may sneak in to the play offs this season, then again I think we will do a Sheffield Utd and rip this league up, why im not too sure but I feel it in my water.

It seems increasingly likely that many clubs will not be able to survive the current crisis and - sadly for me-  Rovers would appear to be one of those at serious risk.

What will become of this thread if we do go?  You need to start thinking of your exit strategy, would it become the 'Cardiff dustbin thread' or will you wait to see if a 'phoenix' Rovers starts up and start hating them instead?

Personally. I'm beginning to see the upside of this scenario. I can continue disliking City and laughing to myself when they fail without having Rovers ******* it all up for me by, well just by being Rovers really,

All jokes aside, do you think that this current crisis will see the packing up of the circus tents for good.

Could this be an opportunity for a certain Bristol business man to swoop in and purchase the final piece of the Bristol sporting jigsaw, hmmmmmmm.

"I'm on a plane that looks like it's going to fall apart, and I'm leaving for Cardiff," Sala said in a WhatsApp audio message carried by Argentine media.

"If in an hour and a half you have no news from me, I don't know if they will send people to look for me, because they will not find me, you know. Dad, I'm so scared," he added.

:( Surely someone checks that planes are fit to fly?

Im stunned and disgusted, with all the money in football, the guy gets put on a plane that looks like its falling apart!

Yes you are correct, definitely much more than normal handbags!

i am confident we are not going back to the 70s but at this time there has been an increase in football related disorder nationally, it is not normally as violent as this but there is an increase particularly the lower leagues .

lots of debate as to why, but nevertheless I think it is important to point out these people are very much in the minority and not normal football fans.

Hope rovers form picks up soon, I was at burton and rovers fans were very subdued about everything, not like them at all!!

Why don't you shove your gas sentiments somewhere dark and cold, I think you are on the wrong forum ffs!

copper shows gas colours on city forum shock!

I was working this game yesterday and present at all of this disorder. It was probably one of the most violent football disorders I have been involved for a number of years.

i am very very happy that the dogs were present, without them there would have no doubt been considerably more disorder and injuries to police officers. I will be sending them a box of bonios with thanks!!!

i am continuing reviewing footage and will identify any offenders who have been caught committing offences.

we have released a statement and are keen to point out this is a very small minority of so called fans, I am hopeful for further arrests from both sides once footage has been reviewed.

To be fair you lot usually miss it going off, so not surprised that this seemed like large scale disorder. I hope the dogs are ok, they and the horses are always the poor innocents when this happens.

It seems that Oxford took the piss before and after the game, a good100 or so mobbing up in the gas Hobgoblin.

Just bear in mind that if we go down and the gas somehow stay up!!!!!  Just saying..... Don't forget that apart from this thread there is much (unwarranted), doom and gloom on OTIB.

I'm a pessimist, however I find it hard to imagine us getting relegated this season.

I assume by their “entire history” he means since they’ve been a Football League club?

I can't see them being around for that much longer, at least not as a full time pro club anyhow.

The wider the gap gets, the weaker they become, it can't be sustainable. In today's market, there is not enough finance for 2 clubs to survive in Bristol, it's not like any other 2 club City/Town, its not a footballing area. I think non league will suit them just fine.

I still remain unconvinced by LJ, mainly because I fear that consistency from his teams will always be a problem.

However I did see several things today that were different and impressive and hopefully something that we can build on.

But I hope that playing Paterson come what may is not going to be the norm again this season, he has started the season in the same form as he left the last 22 games of last season and could have cost us the game on 3 occasions in 15 minutes during the 1st half.

I did not see the same beauty in Forest that some seem to have seen but maybe that is just another stick to hit LJ with.

I am reasonably happy, just a few tweaks for me and of course a creative midfielder who can unlock defences because that is one thing we do not have anywhere on the books.

Consistency is always going to be an unsolvable problem for LJ's team&s when he plays pivotal players like Patterson who are for want of another word; inconsistent.

  10. Its a good result when you take a good, hard look at what a patched up side we out there today. We got lots of players playing out of position and dare I say it a couple who are drastically out of form, or not match fit. We have Baker and Pisano to comeback and Lois to get to grips with the English game and show us why he has demanded such a large fee in France. Id say that we may have the best of City still to come this season, and at such a pivotal time, lets get into the play off's and the premiership, YOU REDS!!!!!!
