I just sat through a game that was awful. Looked like a non league game at times. Happy with the win of course but overall it was shocking. Barnsley will be down by March and yet they should have turned us over. I fully understand the job Nige has on his plate but **** me he hasn’t got much to work with.

Gotta be honest, as relieved as I am I can’t celebrate that.

The same people moaning that a few youngsters are second best against bottom of the league would be fuming if say Sam Bell wasn’t available on Saturday because he got injured in an U23 match that we decided we really needed to win for some bizarre reason. We had the same the last time our U23’s lost (our only defeat I think) against Peterborough. I know we all want things to be better at first team level but give 15 year old kids a break ffs!!

But they are a very young team, that’s the whole point. We are using this game as learning for young kids. Would you rather we put out a strong team just to win a meaningless U23 match and not give a few kids some great learning experience against older lads so they can see where they need to get to?

And yet you have people running them down ??

Aren’t our Under 23’s top of the league? Isn’t this an exceptionally young team we’ve put out? There might lie the answer?

I'm glad you at least said that tbh. Old people who don't go for the more "lively" sort of support have every right to travel too. As for your comment on naming the stand after a Rugby player I really would like to say you are talking absolute shit BUT this would not surprise me unfortunately. We aren't even the first listed club on the Stadium Twitter site.......I mean we've only been playing there for 100+ years.

In a game where the Ashton Gate crowd not famed for its support when things are going badly WILL, let’s be up front about it, get on the players backs for every misplaced pass, missed tackle etc. it seems a fantastic idea to throw the kids in………..

Give them 250…….. get their huge away support average down below 7,000 or whatever they claim it is atm……….

Absolutely, an Owner who wanted to take a back seat has literally let a couple of bullshitters ruin the club in the short to medium term and had the ******* cheek to tell supporters who could see it all unraveling that they were talking shite.

You don’t consider the restraints that the Owner has put in place and you don’t consider who is both available and could do a better job. I don’t think people at the club worry too much about a very small minority of over emotional posters on here tbh. In fact, as much as people hate it the vast majority of footballers see punters as idiots who know sod all about the game. Put it this way, at one of the higher non league clubs in the area players often go on Twitter on the coach journey home…… ”Smithy, you’re a carthorse and out of your depth” ”What?” ”Yeah, Dave Jones, you know the fat bloke who stands behind the goal reckons your a carthorse and at 36 stone and never played football in his life he would know” That is literally the type of conversation that would be had for banter.

He did. Basically said that Tanner started the game very poorly and that was his decision whether people agree with it or not.

That’s not his question to answer. You just come on here, ask for someone to be sacked (paid for by the Owner in effect) and you don’t have to have a clue who is out there that not only could do a better job but would actually come here after they’ve picked themselves up off the floor from their laughing fit. Or you just appoint Mike Flynn, that will sort things out soon enough.
