At what point do you propose who and how this will be paid for? -

Steve has had a guts full and has given Nige three years to sort the club out. That's how I see it. If that happens to an acceptable degree I also think he will be looking to sell up. -

I certainly think that mismanagement of the club from the very top is now catching up with us big time. -

If he was going to do that I don't see the decisions on Downing and Simpson being made by the club and agreed by the Owner. -

Pretty long because they aren't calculated on a personal whim. -

But what you are missing is we have no cash to make things better. It's a slow build and there will be periods where we are crap. It's a cast iron certainty. But there will also be periods where we pick up a few wins like we already have done this season. -

We have an owner who has literally lost interest in bailing the club out and actually cannot to a huge extent due to FFFP anyway. His madness in defending the indefensible (I'm talking about that *** Swiss Tony) has literally cost us millions of pounds then you add in Covid and finacially we are ******. I am certain that Pearson has been put on a three year contract to literally get the club sorted out in THREE YEARS (believe it or not) whilst Steve takes a back seat and spends as little money as possible. Anybody who thinks that Steve will keep dipping his hand in his pocket and paying for new managers on the whim of a few bellends on here plus the associated staff changes is wet behind the ears at best, a ******* total clown at worst. We can see with the current coaching changes taking place that he is backing Nige and that is that. This season is about avoiding relegation and small improvement........that's all it is and anybody who disagrees with that is simply in denial of the facts and the situation we were in at the end of last season. None of us want the team to be getting embarrassed on a Saturday but some people are accepting that this is the pain we have to put up with for a while. -

The one thing we have to do, and I keep saying it, is a buy a leader in the window and never have a Goalkeeper captaining the team ever again. How the make up of the squad ended up there just about sums up the leadership (I'm talking above the Manager now) at this club. It's ******* clueless and lacking in ANY football knowledge whatsoever. An Owner who got dazzled by talk of "Clubs in the Bag" and put his 100% faith in Swiss Tony telling everyone who would listen that the fans got it wrong has literally got us here. It's an uncomfortable truth but it is the truth. We have to take the pain and let Nige sort it out. -

Nah, bollocks. It's journalist/office talk being brought into football. -

Words fail me. Are you completely oblivious to the financial side of the the club? Steve might ask who the **** do you think you are to expect him to keep paying compensation for old Managers and additional wages for new Managers to suit you? Another problem - it's a football cost, we haven't got a pot to ******* piss in and that means EVEN LESS for the new manager you propose to spend Steve's money on (because that's exactly who will be paying for yet another new manager to suit you). -

You have still avoided the most important question. Who is paying for Nigel Pearson to be sacked? If you think it's Steve you are out of your mind. -

You still haven't explained how sacking Pearson is going to be paid for. -

Anyone who thinks Steve is paying for another manager is an even bigger idiot. -

Playing great football? We were winning games such as Forest away and getting obliterated at the same time. We haven’t played great football at any time since Wolves turned us over about 4 years ago.

Maybe I’m old fashioned but when I had a bad game I always looked at myself rather than the Manager. If the Manager told me to do something that just wasn’t working then I’d look at the Manager. Or do we now live in a world where we mess up the kick off after conceding and where Nathan Baker loses his head and Dan Bentley parries a shot he is capable of holding straight to Lyle Taylor and it’s the Managers fault? That doesn’t make sense to me I’ll be honest.

Things would surprise me a lot less. St Maximin, Callum Wilson and possibly Darlow the Keeper, who I've always rated, aside Newcastle have a squad jam packed with mediocrity for Premiership level. It's almost like watching a Premiership version of us but without the fight that we sometimes display when we are at it that enables us to pick up points. They could be in a position by January where any top name player worth his salt thinks "don't care how much you are offering Mr Saudi, stick that right where the sun don't shine". They will probably then end up looking at the next raft of quality and spending shitloads (because clubs know they have it) on players who are good but not top notch. I can see it taking them 4-5 years before they are anywhere remotely close to where they want to be.

Is O'Dowda the answer to our striker problems?
Numero Uno replied to dREDful's topic in Football Chat
I don't necessarily disagree with what you are saying but he was shite last night. He's been unjustly villified a few times recently but last night he had a shocker. -

A goalkeeper of his ability should be holding it not worrying about where he's going to push it. -
That's two injury time mishaps from our keeper in injury time at a cost of 3 points this season. Easy solution, get Max on after 88 minutes......
