  1. Yep, in isolation is a great concept and message. But taken in the context of where they are at as a club, and the decisions they've made over the least 12 months, it loses a lot of its meaning
  2. More than happy to give them stick when they deserve it and laugh at then when they act like a circus, but credit where it's due for this. A good message and innovative idea. Questions do have to be raised over a club employing Barton and Jevani Brown taking any sort of stand over 'inclusivity', however as a thought this is excellent from them
  3. Still doesn’t beat this for me, and to be honest I doubt anything they do ever will
  4. So basically its the fault of the EFL for not allowing them to start with 2 away fixtures, Barnsley for not agreeing to swap the fixtures around and the local planning authority for not allowing them to build without due diligence. Maybe, just maybe, it's because you are a pathetically run excuse of a football club, who struggle to construct anything that doesn't require guy ropes and have ultimately become a total laughing stock nation wide?
  5. To be fair, that could be said for pretty much every destination on earth. Struggling to think of anywhere that would benefit from their presence
  6. Newport, Rhode Island would do. In fact they have the only grass court tennis tournament in the US, so the perfect sports ground for Rovers to steal...
  7. If anyone has a couple of codes available I’d happily take them!

    Wimbledon

I guess it’s all about opinions. I’ve spent all week watching Wimbledon after work, love it. Like every sport though some people will find it ‘dull’ or ‘boring’. It’s a bit like snooker for me, on the face of it it may seem rather mundane but when you attempt it yourself you realise just how incredibly talented all the players are. If you watch it live it gives you a totally different perpesctive on how good these guys and girls are
  9. Worst bit about it is the number of them defending the signing. Are we surprised though? Of course not, they could sign Adam Johnson and defend it. They’ve just signed somebody who has admitted to assaulting a woman, and many of them are happy with it because it gives them more of a chance of catching us. So much about what they do is funny and easy to take the piss out of, this isn’t . It’s just sad and highlights the total difference in morality between the two clubs and respective fanbases
  10. One of the great songwriters whose music isn’t as widely acclaimed as it should be. Still got a beautiful voice as well. Hopefully that set inspires a new generation to listen to his back catalogue, so many great songs
  11. Could you imagine if we signed a 34 year old who wasn't deemed good enough for Rovers. It's almost unfathomable, the fact they are overjoyed by signing a 34 year old who wasn't deemed good enough for us just further emphasises the size of the gap
  12. It may come as a surprise, but this is a football stadium for a league one club...
  13. So its 35 quid more for a season ticket to sit in their new stand (which hasn't even been built) than it is to sit in the South Stand for us. How on earth do they justify that?
  14. Didn't we have John Ruddy as well at one stage around that time?
  15. Back in November their CEO wrote this: 'As all supporters will be aware, at the start of this season, we received a capacity reduction due to incidents at the end of last season, so these actions were required to mitigate future sanctions. This action resulted in a maximum capacity of 9,832.' Yet I see they are now crowing about having a crowd of over 10k for this weekend (for the first time since 2019 apparently...) How can they reduce the capacity to 9.8k and yet fit 10k in there when it pleases them once a season?
  16. 9 years ago today, never forget. Relegated to Non League by a team having to wear Rovers’ away kit… Happy Anniversary Saggies!
  17. Exciting one personally for this, signed up here as the Joe Bryan Fan Club (JBFC) so my 15 year old self would be incredibly excited at the prospect of us signing him again! Remember vividly one of his earliest games v Palace in the cup, being a QEH pupil I’d made a flag with a fellow City fan/classmate which we held out pre match on the touch line. Scotty spotted it and told Joe who came trotting over for photos and autographs, genuinely lovely bloke and made two young City fans very happy! This one makes sense for a lot of reasons, hopefully he makes his return here
  18. Huge win for Manor farm, 2-0 v Saltash, to confirm southern league status. On the anniversary of Geoff Sellek's death thats a huge result in front of just shy of 400
  19. Manor Farm currently 1 up on Saltash in the play off. Thunderbolt by Robbins (left back) on the 30 minute mark. Nervy game in front of a pretty packed creek
  20. You can tell hes had experience of mens football. Good command of his box, caught everything that has come in. Very good on the floor as well, reflexes haven't been tested but looks a good prospect. From tonight, him, Anderson (playing lwb) and Owusu-Antwi (playing rwb) have stood out imo
  21. 4-0 up now, difference in quality really starting to show. Not sure many have been a 'level' above but as a team its been a seriously professional performance. Very impressed with the City keeper, Casa-Grande. Seems to have everything you need from a modern keeper
  22. 2-0 at half time. Nobody really standing out for City so far, Owusu-Antwi is rapid and looks dangerous when he gets on the ball, but has seen very little of it thus far. Interesting thing of note is we are playing 3-4-1-2. Always thought academy teams mirrored the first teams formation?
  23. Without wanting to be too much of a pedant, we've not taken 1500 our last two trips, 1200 and 800 in fact. That being said, less than 500 for one of their closest away games is pitiful. Laughable numbers
  24. u23s/18s are 2 up at Manor farm after 20 minutes. Goals from Owusu-Antwi (superb finish after a lovely cross) and Hutton (tap in after some disastrous defending). Being outmuscled a bit (as expected) but playing some nice stuff so far
  25. Realise he's not the most popular figure any more, but it was Maynard for me. A 3 way debate between him, Webster and Tammy, but Maynard in 08-10 is about complete as a striker gets, scored every single type of goal. Run very close by the other 2
