  1. A friend of a friend who works at the club. Sounds very vague I know but I have no reason to doubt it. Looking at the state of Covs pitch I’d be very surprised if it went ahead there, so a neutral venue makes sense, even if it would be a logistical nightmare I’d imagine
  2. Don’t take my word for it yet! As far as I’m aware stuff will be announced this morning, but the club are keeping the details very quiet
  3. Tickets have been taken off sale. As far as I’m aware it’s going to be played at a neutral venue with only people who have pre purchased tickets allowed entry, not totally sure where though
  4. If you'd bothered to read the opening post before replying you'd see that the OP has copy and pasted it out for us!
  5. They come on sale at 10am tomorrow, so I doubt there would be anything about them in there yet!
  6. Yep, straight from their twitter. Not massively surprised vince would write something like that considering his straight talking nature
  7. Because we have a category 2 academy I don't think promotion is possible and thus it is just kudos (and presumably a trophy!)
  8. Nah, thats Dean Windass. You know, the guy who stopped us getting to the Premier league after we'd finished 4th in a league they could only dream of being in...
  9. Fair play to them. Let's not forget, they're still a division below us, they've scraped promotion ahead of Northampton on the final day. The gap is still huge in every way possible, them spending a year in league one won't change that
  10. A comment from their Twitter page, they really don’t help themselves do they? ’We could probably fill out a 30,000 seater for occasions like this. Absolute sleeping giant we are, get us the new stadium @waelalqadi and we will be premier league in 10 years.’ Plenty of comments underneath saying that them selling out on Saturday is ‘proof they need a bigger stadium’. Who’s going to tell them that selling out a restricted capacity once a season isn’t proof you need a bigger ground…
  11. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/fanzone/away-days/away-days-200708/ The club have all away attendances from 01/02 to 17/18 available to look through (not really sure why they stopped to be honest!)
  12. Manor Farm beat frome 3-1. 1 win away from the southern league premier now, the highest level the club would have played at I believe, been an incredible season for them
  13. 3-1 now to Manor Farm, Owen Howe with 2 goals, taking him to 26 for the season
  14. Manor Farm 2-1 up at frome in the play offs. Would be one of the biggest results in their recent history if they could win tonight
  15. I guess it depends on the age group. I grew up with Fulham being a regular player in the Premier League, including the European run in 2010, whereas the likes of Wednesday, Leeds or Forest were more of a feature in league one than the top flight. Over the Premier League era I'd say Fulham probably edge in as a 'rightful' Premier League club (whatever that means!)
  16. None of them come close to Dave Richards. Never conceded a goal for us, and won the title playing a key role. City legend in my eyes
  17. I’m not sure. Admittedly I’ve not been able to watch much of us this season, but I do get the feeling that we certainly wouldn’t be better off with another manager right now, especially when we consider the history the lansdowns have at appointing managers. I think giving him the summer and then until at least November, is the right thing to do. He’s been poor thus far, but he has enough contacts in the game and enough pedigree, to strengthen us for next year imo
  18. Says a lot about our club really that a fan can claim that a manager with a 25% win ratio is ‘one of the best we’ve ever had’. I think we should stick with Pearson (as realistically we can’t afford to sack him and replace him with someone better) but what’s he done thus far to be one of the best managers we’ve had in the last 20 years?
  19. I’m aware what season he was referring to. I still think it’s very selective from the poster though, totally ignoring where we were at when LJ took over and even where we ended up at the end of that season. There was clear improvements on the pitch (aided by the financial support no doubt), even when comparing the 16/17 season to the 15/16, under Cotts, where we were looking incredibly likely to go down
  20. To be fair that’s incredibly selective. He inherited a side who were already in a relegation scrap and left them in mid table, with some highs and lows along the way. Yes financially him (but mainly Ashton) screwed us over, but positionally we haven’t seen anything better than under LJ as a club since his dad, 13 years ago
  21. To be fair, was right in front of it and first thought was the defender got the ball. Can definitely see why it was originally given though
  22. Travelling in their millions again I see...
  23. Doubt it. With our average attendances this season I'd be very surprised if the club felt they could afford to expand the stadium any further, especially with our financial position. I can't see a couple of 2nd rate group games in the euros making much of a difference
