  1. None of them come close to Dave Richards. Never conceded a goal for us, and won the title playing a key role. City legend in my eyes
  2. I’m not sure. Admittedly I’ve not been able to watch much of us this season, but I do get the feeling that we certainly wouldn’t be better off with another manager right now, especially when we consider the history the lansdowns have at appointing managers. I think giving him the summer and then until at least November, is the right thing to do. He’s been poor thus far, but he has enough contacts in the game and enough pedigree, to strengthen us for next year imo
  3. Says a lot about our club really that a fan can claim that a manager with a 25% win ratio is ‘one of the best we’ve ever had’. I think we should stick with Pearson (as realistically we can’t afford to sack him and replace him with someone better) but what’s he done thus far to be one of the best managers we’ve had in the last 20 years?
  4. I’m aware what season he was referring to. I still think it’s very selective from the poster though, totally ignoring where we were at when LJ took over and even where we ended up at the end of that season. There was clear improvements on the pitch (aided by the financial support no doubt), even when comparing the 16/17 season to the 15/16, under Cotts, where we were looking incredibly likely to go down
  5. To be fair that’s incredibly selective. He inherited a side who were already in a relegation scrap and left them in mid table, with some highs and lows along the way. Yes financially him (but mainly Ashton) screwed us over, but positionally we haven’t seen anything better than under LJ as a club since his dad, 13 years ago
  6. To be fair, was right in front of it and first thought was the defender got the ball. Can definitely see why it was originally given though
  7. Travelling in their millions again I see...
  8. Doubt it. With our average attendances this season I'd be very surprised if the club felt they could afford to expand the stadium any further, especially with our financial position. I can't see a couple of 2nd rate group games in the euros making much of a difference
  9. Mainly about the game with some frustration aimed at him from what I could hear. No surprise he couldn't disagree, we weren't very good tonight and anyone travelling all the way up to Barnsley deserved better!
  10. Was stood next to them. Nothing too 'dramatic' but just people voicing their frustrations. Pearson stood and listened before heading off down the tunnel. After tonight I think it's perfectly reasonable for people to complain, especially after making that journey. Pearson didn't look massively impressed but obviously understood why there was such frustration from the support
  11. Our defence is woeful, schoolboy stuff from set pieces. Fans have kept it entertaining but the stuff on the pitch really hasn't been great. Still feel like we have the ability to get something from this though. No matter the result I've had a free scarf and a free hot chocolate, who am I to complain?!
  12. Free scarf and all. Fair play to the other 200 or so who have made it
  13. Could be Bentley Kalas Klose Williams Scott Weimann Massengo Dasilva Semenyo Bell Martin Or something similar… Either way, that’s a bizarre team. Feels like Pearson making a statement about the lack of options he has
  14. Nearly there now, expecting a wet, cold and windy experience. But then, having been to Holker Street 6 weeks back I feel prepared! Feel positive about getting a result, we've looked much better as of late so hopefully can continue that through to today
  15. On BT Sport as well if you want English commentary!
  16. It’s Sarries Big game called ‘the Showdown’ that’s basically an opportunity for them to play in a bigger stadium once a year. Bath and Quins do similar and Newcastle have done it in the past as well iirc
  17. There’s actually 6 available on the website so if you’re quick you may be able to get one of them
  18. So therefore taking the knee shouldn’t be ‘banned’ as @Alan Dicks suggested
  19. Is that the point of it though? Isnt this more a stand of solidarity against racism, saying that the vast majority of us find it unacceptable and we’re going to take a united stand to highlight that. That may not lead to anybody who is racist turning away from that, but it shows that the vast majority of us are united against it, which is surely an important message to send out in a time where so many are divided against eachother?
  20. Why do you believe people shouldn't have the opportunity to show their support for the fight against racism? Genuinely intrigued
  21. Don't think it can be any more, if the player is making a valid attempt for the ball then it's only a yellow. Either way, it's about as clear cut as they get, we had enough chances to get something from the game off our own accord but it never helps when referees miss obvious penalties...
  22. Makes sense for their winner to come from the ref missing a clear handball. Can't remember seeing a referee make so many awful decisions
  23. Isn't it a yellow for inciting the fans? Austin has made himself look like a right ***** there
