  1. Any suggestions for an Italian central (ish) to meet some friends in August. It has to be kid friendly (3 and 2 year old). Was thinking la grotto, many Friday lunch time spent there , but understand now closed. Last time in Bristol we were taken to Prezzo and it was shit . Any independent recommendations would be welcome

May need to sell a kidney for this one, lots of arrogant Leeds fans defending it though thinking other fans should pay a premium to visit their ground

Those prices are excessive and in reality should never be charged for second tier football.

Hadn't really seen this story, but wearing a shirt that said what it did (I won't repeat it here) is vile.

ManUre should ban him for life, although as they've so many plastics, he probably couldn't find Old Trafford with a map.

    Grauniad

Should be forced to walk around the pubs of Liverpool wearing it

I would add that clubs, including ours, are missing out on revenue by refusing to stream matches to UK customers.

I live in Swindon, so can't get to every game for various reasons, but I would happily pay BCFC £10 (as I did during lockdown) to watch my team when I can't make it in person.

Current rules prevent people from doing this, so their only alternatives are to (a) not bother - just watch SSN or the Final Score (b) find a dodgy stream (that actually works), or (c) subscribe to one of these illegal services.

I believe (but can't prove) that there are MANY City fans like myself, who for one reason or another (location, illness, childcare, finances etc) can't make it to the Gate every week, but would be willing to pay a fee to cheer us on on TV.

Similar position to yourself, don’t live in Bristol and three kids under the age of 3 just not practical to go to games. I would happily buy to watch games on TV similar to during covid period. I also wouldn’t be against the club increasing price to reflect a match day ticket price

    You reckon?

Im not so sure they have a group of players that won’t be looking to jump ship this summer as their relegation release clauses kick-in!

Plus some loans to come back.

Agree , will be a very different squad next season. Marsch signed a lot of the squad and expect many to return to European football. Ayling & Cooper will stay plus they’ve got a sting youth team. Add in the fact not sure the additional investment will be forthcoming as a championship club

  6. Family and friends of West Ham players were attacked by rival supporters after a match in the Netherlands.

AZ Alkmaar fans broke through a fence and attacked visitors sat in a reserved section following the final whistle in the Europa Conference League semi-final.

A brawl ensued - and several West Ham players, including captain Declan Rice, tried to intervene.

Police and stewards were quickly on the scene to prevent further confrontation and calm was restored 10 minutes later.

West Ham manager David Moyes admitted that his players were angry following the incident.
