Congrats Manchester City ! More then well done. Best team in the world.

Fair play to Inter, they gave them one hell of a game and didn’t give them any time on the ball

I thought MC would roll them over fairly easily but they were a tough nut to crack

100% agree, I think Luton will take the money and run knowing there is a very small chance they survive next year. Reinvest it correctly into both facilities and players to elevate the club as a whole and have a better chance at getting back into the prem in the future.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they beat the record for the lowest ever points tally in a season in the Prem but will pocket ££££’s for their new stadium and come back in the Championship as a more attractive option for better players

There isn't even a small chance, there is no chance.

For one we wouldn't be able to afford his wages!

If a buying club were looking to loan him out (very doubtful) then at the very very least he'd be sent on loan to a top Championship club but more than likely another Premier league club.

So who’s to say as part of any deal that he is loaned back to us at a discounted rate?

He is our player still and under contract for a further 2 years

We are not in a situation where we have to sell and this has been said by the club, if clubs are lining up to buy him then we hold the cards still and can dictate the terms

    Got to be.

(Inserts obligatory “He’s been gone too long” gag).

Out of work so no compensation, local, used to working with little resources, and most importantly, an absolute, grade A, 24 carat ****.

    Ticks every box.

He’s probably the natural predecessor to Colin as the biggest ass wipe that we love to hate ?

  5. I can see JB slotting into midfield as can quite a few others such as Naismith, McCrorrie. It depends what role NP feels best suits the team & personnel he puts out on the pitch

We certainly have some strength on the left hand side of the pitch, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mehmeti used on the right flank very much like NP used Mahrez at Leicester

So many permutations, I just hope we continue with a back 4 as I am not sure we are as effective and attacking playing 352

When does the summer transfer window open?

I think players who are out of contract in June can sign pre contract agreements also?

I suppose clubs can agree deals between each other on player sales for players still under contract but the registration would not be able to be processed until the window opens

  7. Let’s remember City hold all the cards with regards to Scott and if we sell or not this summer. The club will have a ceiling regards to his valuation and we don’t need to sell but if someone wants to match the valuation then I think SL & NP would want it sorted early in the window

Whether a loan back option is possible depends on the scouting team and availability of possible replacements but it would certainly give the club some leverage in striking a deal that suits

The first few weeks of the window could be very busy as well as interesting as we could well see quite a lot of activity

I think we could see as many as 6 new signings depending on how certain OOC players negotiations develop

We are a decent mid table team and the table reflects that fact, it’s quite clear that NP intends to build a squad to take the next step and will expect to be backed to enable him to target the top 6 next season

It feels as though those drab unpredictable past 3-4 years have passed and we are now on the trajectory upwards with progressive attacking football

2023/24 could be far more enjoyable for us long suffering fans (hopefully)!!

  8. He’s obviously got big problems, mental health or some form of complex condition

He had the world at his feet and something has obviously triggered the fall from Grace

I hope for his sake that he finds a solution to his situation as careers are short, he may have plenty of money in the bank but that means nothing if you are suffering daily and his demons have him in a dark place

  9. Against Man U in 2017 I always felt we had a chance as they were mainly a bunch of talented individuals and not a team unlike Man City who just oozed class and ability when g beating us over 2 legs. We were a pretty decent team back then but this time around and whilst we have some cracking young players to be proud of, I just can’t see us  causing the Citizens too many concerns. As long as we don’t get a hiding and embarrassed live on T then I’m fine with us putting up a good fight and losing by the odd goal or two

If NP manages to pull this one off and beat Pep’s all star team then I will doff my hat and just sit back and watch a rewind of the game time and again like I did the Man U win

  10. I can’t but help to compare him to Mahrez, he has the similar ability to chop back on either foot, if he could put a few curled shots in the top corner then we have an extremely talented young player and one that will bring a lot of joy to us fans over the next few years

Nige won't be underestimating a Wigan team with four points from the last two games. Scott will play, there will be no resting players because we think the opposition is weak. We ain't good enough for that.

Agree, Wigan are no mugs and looked half decent in the game on Sky recently. Got to treat them like Norwich and go for them and not think it’s an easy game - it won’t be

  12. We at are a stage where we are competitive and have the ability to consistently press teams and also beat other teams press. That takes a lot of energy, teamwork and skill. If NP can keep the squad on it for the next 4-6 games against some very decent sides then he may just have a special group of players to achieve what we all want

9 games unbeaten is no mean feat and I hope it continues, we may even get a penalty

  13. It’s taken him a bit of time for him to bed in and adjust but the potential he was scouted for and the coaching he is getting at City appears to be paying off. It will mostly always be like this when we bring in young players from lower leagues but must be so satisfying for those who put the time and effort in to find these diamonds and the coaches who work with them daily

I hope Tanner continues to flourish and improve with us as I think he will become a very useful RB/RWB

He'll get his chance from the bench soon, and when he does, he'll have to produce to take the shirt from those in possession if they can continue their form.

It's great management, I think. No more tombola nonsense. A small, tight knit squad all with a good chance of playing and needing to maintain performance levels when they do!

I can see Mehmeti getting 20 mins today for his home debut

  15. There always seems to be one team that makes a late push and comes from nowhere, we would need a lot of luck with injuries and the majority of the team retaining the form they have shown as well as the new players hitting the ground running

Its been done before but the odds are stacked against us - unless the refs start handing out Pens to us like confetti ?
