He'll get his chance from the bench soon, and when he does, he'll have to produce to take the shirt from those in possession if they can continue their form.

It's great management, I think. No more tombola nonsense. A small, tight knit squad all with a good chance of playing and needing to maintain performance levels when they do!

I can see Mehmeti getting 20 mins today for his home debut

  2. There always seems to be one team that makes a late push and comes from nowhere, we would need a lot of luck with injuries and the majority of the team retaining the form they have shown as well as the new players hitting the ground running

Its been done before but the odds are stacked against us - unless the refs start handing out Pens to us like confetti ?

    PROS

Some of the best players in the world will be playing af Ashton Gate.

Guaranteed sell out crowd and ££££.

    Good publicity

A great learning curve for our players to face a team of that quality.

    CONS

    Not particularly winnable.

    Potential distraction from the league.

Hangers on and day trippers will be scrounging for tickets.

    Can’t really complain overall.

The 2018 team v MC in my opinion had a bit more about them than current squad. As long as we don’t get embarrassed I will be happy and put in a decent performance

Many problems for our club in recent seasons, but the Academy is giving us joys and could play an important role in our future plans, even when finances will be better.

sometimes the joy of seeing lads scouted at a very young age and coming through the academy to the first team and contributing to a performance like that today is far greater than any other

Seen it in the 70s and starting to see it again now, NP deserves credit by trusting them as do BT and the academy staff & coaches for the work they put in to develop them

Ex-City of course so I’m sure many will feel the same, but I do really like Cotterill as a guy. He’s clearly mad as a fox, very intense and emotive - but he’s someone I’d really like to succeed.

Genuinely nice bloke and was fortunate to have a brief chat with him a few years ago whilst queuing in Costa coffee

Passionate about football, still has a massive soft spot for us but felt hard done by and how it ended at City

Yeah probably fair. I’m just a bit gobsmacked that an agent has come out on social media and completed what looks to be a pre-emptive defence. I can’t think it would happen based on just fanbase unrest so feels to be more of getting defence in early in advance of a club potential decision.

In him posting it, it’s made me feel that Nige leaving is all the more likely.

Easier for the new CEO to pull the trigger now rather than Gould who appeared to get on well with NP

Nige and Curtis went to watch him play for Oxford and saw masses of potential to develop his skill set and they’ve clearly been working with him to that aim and his impressive performances have shown.

Excellent work from the coaching team - Sykes is becoming a very decent player indeed.

I’ve been impressed with him also, good ability on the ball, good crosser, works really hard and he fully deserves his place in the team based on his form

Wilson/Tanner to come in if his form or fitness dips

    Quite right

He said so , post match about the amount of hard work starting to come to some fruition

Anyone think the upturn in fortunes coincided with Jason Euell arriving and possibly working with the forwards??

  9. I think it’s only Massengo who could go for nothing next summer as Scott, Conway & Semenyo still have at least 12 months, we could let HNM go in January without too much impact and go for it in the new year. If we fail then expect summer 23 to bring in big bucks

I agree. The sooner Kalas returns to full fitness, the better.

If he can return to previous form, we could be very strong.

    Fine margins in this division.

Don’t be surprised if Kalas goes before deadline day - just got a feeling NP doesn’t rate him and would free up some big wages

    Just my gut feeling
