Really really strange.  Like you say I’d be preoccupied trying to get MG filled in as opposed worrying about statements if it was my girl!

I think the police would be dealing with a serious GBH charge as a minimum if it happened to my daughter

  2. If I liken him to anyone it’s Michael Antonio of West Ham. Power and pace, absolute nightmare to play against

He is starting to show similar attributes with his assists and goals and he will only get better

Imagine if we can keep these youngsters together for a few seasons, we could be in for a treat or the club will cash in and we go back to square one

To be fair, Pearson could've moved the players around to put him on the left, but I think there was good reason not to.

Dasilva won't offer anything near the same on the right, but I think Pearson put him there to test his application and attitude more than anything else. And he was excellent in doing what was required.

As mentioned, Pearson clearly appreciated his contribution which was great to see.

This manager is getting his message accross to the squad. His interviews are consistent in what he requires.

You can be a Bakinson or a Dasilva ?⚪

Dasilva offers technical ability and control, he picks passes and looks to play to feet and actually play football as it should be played whether it’s left or right side. His energy and pace yesterday were very much like the Dasilva we know and like

  4. We look a real threat with Antoine up front and I don’t think many CBs will enjoy playing against him. If we could just keep key players fit then at least the last third of the season can give us something to look forward to

This is why Pearson is the right person for the job and patience needs to be shown.

Attitude in football and dressing room culture is vital to a happy team, that is then a successful one.

This mess started with Ashton and Johnson - arguably some forced on them, due to players we sold and cashed in on, but ultimately, the process of checking the players coming in was not good enough and did not look beyond their natural and potential ability. Holden walked into a ticking time bomb, with a squad of unfit, unhappy players with a few who were causing issues behind the scenes.

Nige has come in - taken stock, and is slowly but surely getting rid of them, to enable the culture required to come back. Players have to do it his way, or no way.

When players like Kasper Schmeichel or Matty James speak so highly of him, it is for a reason, however some of our players don't like the harsh realities being served to them behind closed doors.

To his credit, Pearson always said it was a 3 year plan to convert and we are nearing the end of year 1. I've no doubt following a summer overhaul, we'll see a big difference in the next 12 months.

Today is a good day for this club, and his honesty should be a further warning to those players who think they can do as they wish.

You only need to listen to Kasper and Peter Schmeichel to appreciate the value they put on the influence Pearson had on individuals and the squad at Leicester City. It is going to take time but Pearson will flush out those that don’t fit the profile and attitude he wants for the squad.

He’s had a good look at the players in the past year or so and it’s now time to get rid of those who he thinks aren’t up to the job

Anyone remember the milk bottle/milk float incident v Millwall many years ago. Hijacked by City fans.

Yep, I was in the coach in front of the Venture inn coach and they leant out of the windows as they had no glass in them and helped themselves to quite a few empty crates of milk bottles

in front was a line of riot police and you could see the Milwall mob running towards them and milk bottles being launched over their heads from the Venture inn coach - hilarious looking back but as a 15y old I was shitting it, especially when the police inspector came on board and told us to sit in the central aisle in case our windows were put in ?

Rapid brace for Aboubacar and Cameroon look home and dry. Some wastefulness from Ethiopia in the first half but they’ve given a good account of themselves.

He looks a decent striker this Aboubacar, an upgrade on Dave
