Dunno, I'm only talking about transfer fees there - we have a bigger than £20m a season wage bill and the club's income from regular business doesn't cover it so it's not a straightforward question.  I would think there's room for a couple more signings (if Webster goes then maybe a couple more) but because FFP works on a rolling three year period I don't think they will blow it all in one season and leave no room for manoeuvre the following year.

I would like to think that we still have £15m in the kitty to get a striker in?

If Webster goes then that’s another gap to fill but £25m would maybe give us a bit more leverage in the market

37 days to go until window closes - exciting!!

It's a significant investment.  The more telling point is that after paying £7m for Kalas, £2m for Dasilva, £750k for Smodicz and maybe £3m for Bentley we are still £2.25m in the black from transfer fees given we got £15m from Kelly.  So we can afford to spunk 17.5 Tillsons on the best defender in the Championship.  Must make both their brain cells ache.

And how much is left in the war chest?

Must be a significant sum still from last seasons outgoings?

  3. With the budget we have and quality of players we are bringing into the club on permanent deals this summer, has anyone noticed that gap is getting larger by the day?

it must be grinding and knawing away at the blue few as they peek over the fence at us and see what’s going on

    Absolute poles apart!

Interesting thoughts from the numptys.. At least we have the opportunity. What they wont get is we will turnover in a season what they have probably turned over in their entire existence. How close are they to playing in Europe and this franchised nonsense proves they don't even know the meaning of the word.

Hope they do go up. And SL has to throw shedloads of money at them to keep them up. But they still go tits up. This time for good.

Another years delay to European dominance won't hurt our heavily franchised friends I'm sure...

SL wont need to throw any money at anything. Don't those knob heads realise that promoted clubs get £100m +

Ok, so we haven't progressed at all have we, so I must be dreaming  that the pitch and sprinkler sytsem is better than it used to be, the club shop is bigger and more accessible than it used to be, the club house is far better than it used to be, the Former Players Association and the Ability Groups must be a figment of my imagination. I could go on with quite a number of other areas we have progressed with but can't be arsed. Just because we don't have a new stadium or training ground doesn't mean we haven't progressed. Ok, I accept that things haven't improved as some of our fans would like them to but unless someone else comes along to invest a substantial amount of money, and that doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon we have to accept that our current owners continue to fund £20,000 losses every week and continue to pay the bills to maintain us where we are. If you don't like it, lets see the colour of your money to progress things how you would like it FTG !

more Gas magic taken from their forum, the sprinkler system is what it is all about folks.

Is there a league table for sprinkler systems at clubs?

Maybe Bournemouth should have a points deduction following their faux pa against wolves - absolute shambolic sprinkler system!

I can see them getting 8-10 points out of those 7 games, which would be decent enough for them. Hopefully you are right and also hopefully Sunderland deprive them of Wembley, just do we don’t have to hear all about it.

I can’t see them getting anything against Luton or Charlton and perhaps a draw at Gillingham

4 points and firmly entrenched in the relegation zone

I think our owners are playing a very dangerous game regarding the loyalty of our fanbase i can remember the days of the faithful 5000 and the way things are going at the club no Stadium, Training Ground, tents, very poor facilities toilets etc relegation battle awful football to watch and lack of transparency charging 1.50 for tap water the crowds will start to dwindle starting from next season, people have lots of other choices like Ashton gate to see proper football in a great new stadium .

Can’t be a SAG post, as it makes sense. Obviously it’s a Ted imposter!

Would depend on the reasons for him resigning.

If he was promised new training facilities, a transfer budget and a poodle, and all Wally could come up with was 3 stolen traffic cones and a calendar from Battersea, then he could say he was forced to resign and his career was being damaged, especially as he turned down a more lucrative opportunity to stay.

Could just be that he woke up one morning and thought... 'sod this for a game of soilders, I'm off'.

Two different reasons for resignation, one unlikely to see compensation paid, the other might be a more negotiated position.

Either way, why would a fan know the terms?

Payment in lieu of notice = financial settlement

I think they’d have a pretty good chance of getting a draw if the first tie was at Weston. What an achievement that would be!

Then who knows if the intimidating slum of the memorial ground would be too unsettling for WSM and they might even make it through to the second round..!

Imagine how many City would go to that one??

  10. It's not until all the gifts that they keep giving are revisited that one finally realises what a unique club and bunch of fans they are. There has to be some sort of book or documentary that can be made to capture what is clearly an absolutely farcical football club. 800+ pages on here alone would be a start as well as all the TV footage and newspaper reports.

I just hope it continues as they are a joy to behold!!

Yeah that’s right, really jealous of their ‘loyalty’....just over 7k at home today in League 1. Pathetic attendance.

    What a moron.

And how many of their home grown talent have played in the Chamionship and progressed to the Prem or are representing England at U20 level

We are obviously doing something right and by the way we average 20k plus at home

Finally, the robin is on our away kit

Watch their loyal fans drift away and gates fall every home game now!

Soul my ass, the place is a dump and they have a team and fans that fit their surroundings

Both clubs support is very good for achieving **** all. Compare us to say Sheffield Wed and Sheff Utd who have had years in the top flight our crowds aint too bad. Does anyone think we could ever reach the support either of the sheffield teams have? sustained PL stay?

Rovers really need to stop making figures up for that conference wembley final though, 29,000 is what they took and thats still pretty good.

If we had a 35k capacity stadium then I am fairly confident we would be pretty close to capacity if we were in the Prem. You only need to look at the games in the cup last season against both Manchester clubs and aside from the segregation that would have taken seats out then the club could have easily sold another 8k tickets

Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Man City, Man U, Liverpool would be sell outs and the remainder would I am sure achieve 30k. I dare say the ST sales would account for a large number of the home numbers

I'm sorry to say that I'm all for rubbing their noses in our domination as often as possible from any source. Maybe some of the people saying we should rise above it don't remember what it was like having them give it the big 'un over us for years.

Mind you, they're miserable enough anyway without our help haha

Loved the “30 years ago everyone had a crap stadium, now it’s just us”!

Looks like the sags are finally seeing through Wael and his mirage

My point is that it has always been thus. Boro have had far more better players than us for years now. Yet we competed. In fact we had a bloody good record against them. But it doesn’t suit the narrative to remember that.

We competed but in the wrong areas until the last 10 mins and could easily have got back to 2-2 But for the width of a post/crossbar. Coaching team need to rev them up a bit more and shoe a bit more intent and aggression in the final third
