It just seems a very Bristol City appointment going for a cheap option from a lower league

We had the chance to try something different not necessarily appointing a big name but looking in leagues we don’t usually look in. Instead we’ve reverted to type and if you keep doing the same things normally the end result is the same

Nothing against Manning but i fully expect the cycle to go round again just like it has while SL has been our owner

Is it cheap? 6 figures release clause, plus he'd bring his own team with him as we sacked everyone else.

What "big name" did you want?

I know that Tommy prefers to play up front with a partner and holding the ball to bring others into the game is not his thing, but in recent games where he has found himself in some space one on one, his pace seems to be gone. Could be that he is afraid to pull the hammy again but with pace such a part of his game it is worrying to see the way he is playing at the moment.

To be fair, Sheff Weds CB's are VERY quick.

I will be expecting them to front up and tell us what went wrong

"Well unfortunately we had a bad start under Nigel Pearson and couldn't get enough ground to make it up. We fully support XXX and believe next season we can have a real crack at the play offs. I can only apologise for not sacking Nigel earlier, but we learn from our errors".

    Top 10 budget…..really?

Find that hard to believe now!

Making the decision now he’s in the final part of his contract. We’ve got another 30-odd games to go.

Why not get the injuries back and then see where we go?

The Lansdowns and Tinnion wanting any excuse to get rid.

To be replaced by……a manager from the lower leagues!

Top 10 budget, no chance. Otherwise we are massively over paying Weimann, Wells, James, Dickie and Cornick (can’t see anyone else on big wages?).

Also the week before Nigel was sacked we were 8th, so surely that’s where we should be IF true.

Poor little lamb. He might have to spend some money on a few replacement flags at his golf course.

    Heard that's not the case.

Instead he's sacked the groundsman for not having the flags better conditioned to cope with mother nature, and is disappointed the groundsman's has not achieved the objective of the Masters being played there.

None of this is exactly “miraculous” though the prominence of them in the training video is certainly interesting from a PR perspective.

We have a PR team? Why have they only started this week?

    Whose the options:

    Paul Simpson (Carlisle Manager)

    Keith Downing (Available post Birmingham)

    Jamie McAllister (Available post Hibs)

    John Pemberton (Available post Chesterfield)

    Tony Docherty (Dundee Manager)

    We've tried and failed with:

    Dean Holden

    Keith Millen

    Anyone else?

Whats crazy is the fact that some of our fans think we are too good for lampard😂

Newsflash this isn't a big club. One day I pray we will be

No one thinks we are too good for Lampard. It's more that Lampard isn't right for us.

Afternoon all, just a small bit of information to share with you regarding the dismissals of Rennie & Euell

during the recent international break Rennie & Euell decided to give extended breaks to the players. Most went away etc and came back without doing much and went into intensive training hence the list of injuries picked up. Joe Williams is set to be sidelined for around 6-8 weeks (not sure if that’s been posted anywhere)

Nige was off with bad health after a minor operation on his back & having issues with Nerve endings that’s the reason he’s been on crutches. Not sure why Fleming didn’t have a say etc.

Wow very poor. Whose to blame? Players or Rennie?

To be fair to them actually - today and tonight they will be busy on the phone to the agents of the managers that they will be lining up for interviews over next 2 days. Offer the job Wednesday - Thursday he goes home to mull it over. Friday in to meet players. Saturday introduced to the fans and watching the game.

Why not have them already lined up? They knew full well they were pulling the trigger.

It takes 15 mins of their time to speak to the fans.

3 sentences. That's all they've said, and will say.

    Spineless.
