I wonder how many games SL and JL watch between them. Neither live in the country. If it is the case that interest is dwindling then we potentially have a board who are looking at things purely on figures and have no idea what the club needs on the pitch. This is purely speculation on my part but I'd be surprised if either of them watch every game on Robins TV or otherwise.
I wouldn't. Lots of things you can throw at them, but they'd watch every game.

I work with Peter Swann's daughter in law, so been keeping a loose eye on this. I don't think the Swann's have been great, but do think they originally went into the club with the best intentions. However it must be hard to keep pumping money in, the club dramatically drop down leagues and still have motivation. They were trying to sale for years, and the new owners are very shady from what I can tell. No win situation for Scunthorpe at the moment in all honesty.

Exaxctly. People talk of the following that can play there:
Wells
Cornick
Bell
Weimann
That is quantity. We need QUALITY
Wells, Cornick and Weimann all have enough Championship experience to be good enough. I actually think the issue is our only form of attack is going wide, and either a crap cross or the odd time it is good we aren't big enough. We need to vary up our approach to get the best out of our players.

Talks of LJ replacing Holden at Charlton who has apparently been sacked tonight

Williams, great athlete but not a natural footballer.

I have no idea what Mark Sykes offers
He’s got a good goal scoring record and gets into good positions.
If only he could actually cross a ball he’d be quality -
Good experience. Really nice pre-game buffet, normally a few guest speakers, pie and refreshments at half time.
I enjoyed it, perhaps though one to take opposition fans / casual supporters if for an occasion.

My guess is on top.
So basically this lad is £2m if we want to sign him permanently but we would already have paid £700k of it upfront.
Exactly. Speeds the deal through, West Brom get £700k right now so they are happy, we get a player for £2m just spread over a couple of years.

he’s nowhere near Scott level which is no surprise.
We will never sign anyone like Scott's level unless we get to the Prem.

Had an email this morning:
The Hidden World of Hospitality with
Tom Kerridge
After several weeks of keeping it under wraps we are so excited to announce that The Pony Chew Valley will feature on the BBC TWO program
"The Hidden World of Hospitality with Tom Kerridge"
this Thursday August 17th at 8PM.
Really good show. Need to book into the Pony for a roast soon. The community aspect of the Pony is incredible.

He was more fan friendly and it felt I dunno it's intangible and hard to explain but I'm fairly unimpressed with Alexander to date.
How did he communicate?
How did he inspire confidence? -

Where is the CEO btw?
Missing in action isn't he. 7 or 8 months in now and he appears now and then but he really doesn't inspire. Gould however I saw as excellent.
What did Gould do which was excellent which Alexander isn’t doing?

Can't overturn 2 yellows can you?
Doesn’t matter does it, thought it was poor defending?

No it's poor defending when on a yellow
What did he do wrong? Bloke went down the minute he kicked the ball past Dickie. Poor officiating.

“This is a display that will mean a lot, to a lot of people”
Not a criticism of the display itself and the effort that has gone into it, but the above statement and the accompanying smoke and mirrors does seem a little bizarre now.
I believe it’s for a bloke called Jazz Ellis (looking at social media), looks like a image of him was held up?

Bugs me too, this one. When there’s no option then it should just be part of the advertised price. And I reckon City must be sailing very close to the edge in terms of the Advertising Standards Authority…..if anyone fancies referring a case to them!
I did the other week over the membership actually. Got an email back from ASA last week saying it’s been raised to the club.

Correct it is misleading
This was actually brought up with Phil Alexander and Dave Barton at the meeting the other week
Two bits I can feed back ;
Phil said that the club were currently looking into whether these additional charges are common around other football clubs, and he would be reporting back as soon as the checks were complete
It was asked why any additional cost couldn't be included in the advertised price, using your example above Phil stated that the ticket would show £10 though and people would question the difference in cost - the ticket could show the included amount on the home tickets but obviously wouldn't on the away ticket
Thank you so much for bringing it up! It really irks me. I don't even mind if it's paying more for postage (if free to collect), but to just give a price I can't buy at feels completely sneaky and unnecessary.

Where can you get the £10 tickets from? Looking online, the lowest I can find is £11.25?
Is this something that can be brought up with the club @Blagdon red, @phantom? It's the same as memberships, they aren't just £25 if you have to pay for a booking fee on top.

Do you reeally think he wants the move there? I don't, what more unappealing club is there, apart from Luton, Shef U and yes Brentford.
An exciting manager.
Easy to get home to Guernsey.
Will get game time in the Premier League.
Performs well there, then can be looking at the next size club up.

Only problem I see is he is a lefty and we have Atkinson coming back around Xmas time and also Naismith and Roberts who can play left side. Plus I think one of the young lads is also a left footer.
But also means Vyner and Dickie can play right.
Wage budget

Posted
Who is on the big wages?
Based on our starting line ups:
Max - academy, imagine a fairly low wage for a Champ keeper
Tanner - came from league two
Vyner - see Max
Dickie - perhaps a decent Champ wage, but can't imagine wild.
Pring - see Vyner
James - could he be on a decent chunk? But was brought in during the Nigel cut back era.
Knight - came from league one, can't be mega wages
Williams - can't imagine Wigan was major payers, but could be on a decent wedge
Bell - see Pring
Wells - took a big pay cut, imagine on a good salary but not outrageous
Sykes - see Knight
It doesn't make sense. Our bench involves more academy kids, Weimann (but pay cut) and Cornick, and some league one players.
