  1. Who gave us the much missed Dooby Dooby Doo Oh Dooby Dooby Dooby Dooby do chant (From the film Tom Thumb).
  2. My profile picture is of the Dr Feelgood characiture. Apparently it was originally drawn by Wilko. Met him at the Bierkeller and he kindly signed his Ice On The Motorway cover for me. This was after he had left the Solid Senders and after his tenure with Ian Dury. I asked him how Ian was doing. He said he must phone him. That line up featured Lew Lewis on Vocals/harp. A couple of years later he re-united with Norman Watt Roy from the Blockheads. Sadly, whilst The Feelgoods have been my no1 band (along with Thunder) I never saw John Wilkinson (real name btw) in the line up. I only found the Feelgoods in 1977 after he left. Did see him though with Ian Dury at the Locarno for the Laughter tour.
  3. Good spot VFTD and John. Stoke's game is still at 3pm but the dates seem to suggest they can be shown after all. Methinks UEFA have tried to be clever re World Cup dates and have forgotten to add the rest of the dates up to new year. They have though for Scotland. Personally I hope you're correct as I can then pay my tenner to watch the Stoke City game.
  4. Sorry John but I think only Rotherham can be streamed legally live within the UK as it falls outside of the 3pm to 5pm ruling. As Stoke's game is still at 3pm, it can't be streamed on Robins TV to domestic viewers....unless you have heard something?
  5. Yes, I did and I've been to 2 previous World Cup Finals.
  6. Long time no post. Both my Pinter 1 and Co-Pinter1 developed faults. They were out of warranty but the good folk at Pinter HQ helped me out with fixing the issues. However, upon the release of a new beer, my pinter again developed another fault. HQ kindly gave me a discount so I decided to order the new 2.1 as it is referred to on certain sites. What a different animal. It might look similar, but it's no longer made of plastic. It's made from heavy duty metal. The attaching of the brew dock is much smoother as well. The other new addition is the Hopper. You can add a hop oil into the main body of your beer via a valve inlet. I have just tried tonight the first new beer exclusive to the Pinter 2. Wow! Their Hous of Hoff fruity German pilsner is well worth the investment. Personally, their Out Of Office lager, made with British barley, is crisper and more hoppy and is my favourite of their lagers. If you like Hop House 13 you'll love Hous Of Hoff. You can still make previous beers in the Pinter 2. You can also set the carbonation rate via a separate dial. Cleaning wise, the fundamental difference is in the tap itself. You can fully detach the tap which is now nearly 1 ft long due to the ingenious piping system. I have plenty of tips and tricks to share should anyone want to order or has a Pinter 2. I can also provide a voucher enabling you even more discount off the price (£20 last time I checked). Just PM me. What has really struck me about Social Media is just how a few like to complain about a product on a fan forum for the Pinter even though they no longer own one! Basically, if you follow the video instructions, you can't go wrong and if there is a problem, phone or use their chatroom. They're very good at customer service. Top photo shows the valve inlet in the centre (cover unscrews). The carbonation dial is above. Bottom photo shows Pinter 2 in the vertical position for brewing. The black portion is the Brew Dock. This will be detached when conditioning. The sediment collected is a mixture which includes the yeast. Do not throw the sediment (or trub as it's called) away as it helps to make bread with a beer taste!
  7. Glad you chose East Side Story. Cracker of an album. I bought U2's October the day it was released in Strawberry Fayre, Broadmead. It was wrapped up in the usual cellophane. However, I never opened it. That night, I was st the Locarno to see U2. Including encore, they were on stage for a misely 45 minutes. I was so annoyed, I took the album back to Strawberry Fayre and exchanged it for Deptford's finest. I first saw Squeeze at the Colston Hall supporting Dr.Feelgood. Bono and Co redeemed themselves on the War tour a year or so later at the Colston. On stage for over 2 hours this time. Bono used the PA as a ladder to get to the balcony(when they used to be stacked on the side of the stage).
  8. Good news for some if us though. We won't need VPN to watch the game. It should be live on Robins TV for a domestic audience. I understand the frustration though if you've booked a train. I have to fly a day earlier in case Sky makes one of my games a different ko time.

  10. Nor me! Was he a relation of the Carter/Johnny Cash dynasty?
  11. And another 2 fans behind me. The net saved a few lives that day. Just as well Jimmy scored!
  12. If the net hadn't been in the way, I would've headed it back....albeit with severe concussion/knockout.
  13. Jimmy Mann's against Forest must be there or thereabouts surely? As others have said, Ronnie's goal in the FA Cup with a young John Motson on commentary is iconic. First time I went to Edgar St with City, I was imagining Ronnie's Radford's goal in front of me!
  14. Saw JLL play one of only a few gigs on his cut short UK tour at Gloucester Leisure Centre early 90s. The bar was split into a sort of VIP lounge for basically just 2 people; Andrew Lloyd Webber and his then wife Sarah Brightman.
  15. He can't play when warm. He's a Coldplay type of guy.
  16. I'm flying over for the Sunderland away match in February. Hope to see you there Oskar.
  17. Official Site isn't too clear as yet re paying to watch Robins TV within the UK. However, if Swansea can do it, so can we. No doubt Robins TV will confirm tomorrow.
  18. Red button is via Sky football channel tonight. Picture is freezing every so often.
  19. He'll get his PA to do it!
  20. Don't forget that when there are multiple red button matches on the same night, you can record the game. This is beneficial for me as I prefer my Radio Brizz commentary via the City Robins TV radio subscription. Push the Record button after 7.40pm on your Sky remote, when on the Main Event/Football Sky channel. A pop up of games will reveal games available. Highlight City to record. The clever bit is to then synchronise the game with Radio Briz. As I am in Norn Iron, there is a delay of up to 30 seconds for the City Radio feed. Go into your planner after 7.40pm and access your recording. Simply fast forward until you see the ref blow his whistle to commence the game and press pause. Release pause when you hear the whistle on Radio feed....you might have to pause a couple of times but you will get it to sync.
  21. Slarti, never mind newsreaders doing that annoying 'thank you. You can add Geoff Twentyman to your rant. All the summarisers from other games are recorded via 5 Live yet he thanks them. I think you'll find that it is part laziness and part BBC protocol. If you watch BBC News, the presenter has to name check at the start who is going to talk. For instance.... Presenter: Over now to our reporter Slarti Bartflast who is at the Memorial Stadium. Slarti, why have Bristol Rovers decided to stop trading? Slarti: Because they're xxxx. (It's the next bit that gets me annoyed...) Presenter: Thank you. Slarti Bartflast there. In other news... WE KNOW WHO IT WAS. THE CAPTION SAID SO. THE PRESENTER NAMECHECKED SLARTI 5 SECONDS PREVIOUSLY.
  22. Have you not got a credit yet for the lack of Norwich commentary? Hopefully you contacted the correct email address for Robinstv. There are 2 email addresses but only one will be recognised for a refund.
  23. If you don't like support bands, They're the main offender.
