Surely the away end will be full of troublemaking 'teds though as we don't have a game?
Nah mate. Home end. All the trouble emanating from the home tents will be down to unknown infiltrators with local accents = Teddy boys.

Even Notts County have a ground that the sags can only dream of!
And a history.
Invited to play in the grand opening game at Juventus stadium.
Rovers knock around Yate and Mangotsfield.

The old Glos Cup pre season between City and Rovers was far better for us than present set up
Too much aggro off the pitch and City gain nothing from the encounter nowadays of course.
Only beneficiaries being A&SP.

Because I honestly believe that the 'success' of the competition will soon be touted as a reason to bring in Premier league U23 teams into the 92.
Agreed. Just like Spain and use league 1 and 2 to develop their kids, **** em.

They need to slag off our under 23's as our kids are much closer to their level, so it's easier for them to compare with.
TBH, if we put out our full u23 team, I think they would probably beat the Sags first team anyway.
The OP on that thread was put down pretty well and from a number of sources to be fair, and they do have some very realistic posters amongst all the lickers.

That's a bit savage...

Will be in north Kent in a couple of weeks time and a Gillingham supporting mate wants to take me to see them play the Gas, we will be sitting with the Gills fans behind the goal, was just wondering what might be the best songs to teach them?
Thoughts?
Could you ask him if he prefers Rovers to us like apparently 80% of neutrals do ?

Probably, there certainly would’ve been an element of sympathy having seen their shit ground.
Whilst they wear that sympathy like a badge of honour, we were praised all over social media last season by football fans nationwide who where massively impressed by our club, stadium and support. Many comments about how they were happy that a ‘proper club’ with ‘proper, passionate fans’ were taking on and competing with Premiership sides in the League Cup.
Didn’t see much evidence of all this hate that everyone apparently has for City.
What Sagheads don’t get is that people feel sorry for them so they tell them things that they think they want to hear...because they feel sorry for them. The reality is that most people around the country don’t actually give a toss about either Bristol club.
The snorters are squabbling...Based on what ffs ?
Some happy Northern monkey .
I would say that unless clubs come across us on a regular basis they won't have an opinion either way. Of course the sh** took 4 points off Sunderland last season so not likely any love there.
Is anyone seriously suggesting that if we won on Saturday, the platitudes from Mackems would have been so numerous ? Its like some silly City lady gardens bragging about how Man City fans were going "wow" at their support at the Etihad last season.
I expect if City ended up playing Wycombe or Oxford next season in the cup, smashed them and then praised their fans, they would receive the same bollocks from them.
Get a grip. Trying to claim the EFL loves us more than the sh** based on the pissed up comments of a few away fans is absolutely braindead.- 1

Umm dunno about that although its maybe because the scruffy ******* are easier to identify.

So what are the rovers hotspots then? Hanham, St.George,Downend, Mangotsfield, Keynsham, Warmley, Yate?
Patchway, Little Stoke, Banjo.
Definitely not Hanham St George Mangotsfield or Yate They may have the edge in those locations although you would be hard pressed to see physical evidence of the fact..
Keynsham absolutely not.

Tin hat for this poster ..
Was chatting to a few of their mob in the Sportsman after the game. Cracking lads. I asked them if they preferred us to the 82ers and they all agreed. They thought our support at their place was brilliant and they could see that we are as passionate about our club as they are about theirs. They had seen the shitheads and Swansea the other week and commented on how amazingly friendly our fans were in comparison. They were surprised when I told them that Rovers have taken 40,000 to Wembley in the past. They though we should be pushing top half Championship at least with such a massive fan base. Hopefully they won’t go up because I’d love another weekend in Newcastle £2.60 a pint! FTG.
Take a look at the top end of the Championship and consider the size of the clubs there Gurensey FC is getting over 20,000 nowadays and they are just average in terms of attendances - Sunderland fans would know that.
Fact is, taking perhaps 40,000 to Wembley on a one off jolly with loads of non fans is the same as the sh** doing the same. We haven't averaged over five figures in decades so our fan base isn't massive at all.
How the **** does anyone establish a fanbase anyway ? Do you tick a box when you return your council tax form ?
A big club coming to town and patting us on the head and we are grateful for it.... pathetic. -

Wow. It's less than 100 miles. To one of the biggest clubs in the division. On a mild Tuesday night.
I did like the "We really are pretty amazing" comment though. If one sentence could sum up 15ers, it's that.
It's a stark contrast to OTIB though, we could take 10,000 away and you'd still get people complaining that we don't take enough away and that other teams are so much better than us, whilst the 15ers could take 50 away and they'd still be Walking each other off over how amazing they are.
Someone did point out that 800 is actually closer to 700 than 1,000 to be fair mind..

To be fair, I see that Bamber Gasgroin replied :
Well, you called out what you perceive as a conflict of interests, I countered by pointing out that whilst your 'Plant' was still in place an agreement was reached between Higgs and UWE, that agreement was acceptable as a basis for our present owners to purchase the club, so I'm struggling to see what your point is?
Taylor himself is a side show, but it shows where we are when removing a player who barely makes their bench is enough to scupper us completely.
We can challenge what's happening in BS3, all it takes is vision and investment. You can't spend your entire life blaming other people for your own failure, or maybe you can....Followed up by PHilton :
I’m with you Bamber. Higgs was comfortable with his business partners so not sure what the objection is now?
Our new friend, or maybe not so new, wants somebody to take up his gauntlet but that’s not the way it works here. You either stop dropping hints and tell the whole story or you are wasting your time.
Watola always told the board that Bristol Rugby wouldn’t be missed very much in terms of finanace. Rovers couldn’t afford to finance the women’s team so it was salvaged by Filton College. A previous board pissed off Filton College which allowed Bristol City to jump in and attach their Academy there and subsequently take over the women’s team.
All I See is us screwing it up and City taking advantage.Worryingly rational Gassers there...

One can only surmise, but a contract will have a commencement date regardless of when it was signed by all parties, and if one element of the "arrangement" was no longer available at the commencement date of the contract then it could very well be unenforceable.
Not saying that is the case here, but the due dilligence Maesknoll Red refers to would presumably demand that every aspect of the deal was examined.
