  1. He might well be but it’s definitely not reciprocated!
  2. Almost every fan would want the same but FIFA, FA and PGMOL won’t allow it because they see it a devaluing the refereeing profession if he/she had to explain dodgy decisions post match. Its a siege mentality.
  3. I can’t say that I’ve noticed that many new accounts Dave. I tend to pay attention to the more regular posters so that explains why I haven’t noticed - that said there is one new account that regularly questions some of my posts……. Seems very sinister to me.
  4. I agree that it was more like a rugby tackle but that type of thing happens in pretty much every game. The defender not even looking in the direction of the ball and he achieved his aim of stopping Dickie getting anywhere near the ball. Its very difficult for any referee to award a penalty when the box is cluttered with players jostling for position.
  5. Which way the teams play is decided at the ko by a coin toss. City obviously lost and the Foxes, like all visiting teams would have been fully aware which way City like to play, namely towards the SS in the second half and that’s why they changed it - it’s more psychological than anything else.
  6. The referee agreed with you Dave. Unfortunately he didn’t have benefit of VaR or a close up replay as we did on TV. I never even noticed it as the ball went over. I just saw lots of players jostling as we do at every corner.
  7. This type of ‘blocking’ happens at set plays pretty much every time when defending a set play. There’s very likely that the Dickie example wasn’t the only blocking going on and the referee either not seeing it or simply ignoring it is no surprise as it happens so frequently. The Conway incident when having his shirt tugged before getting tripped was a stonewall penalty. The referee just a few yards away not awarding was a very poor decision. Anyway - we still won the match despite the ref having a dreadful game.
  8. That must have taken quite awhile to compose!
  9. Stroud has a well earned reputation that precedes him.

He’s 33 so probably has at least another 2 or 3 seasons in him. Any player with his level of experience will be an asset especially to younger players in much the same way King and James are. I think you’re right about him not being fully fit. He tires fairly quickly which indicates that he’s not a 100%.
  11. Before the redevelopment the bogs at AG were pretty disgusting but everyone knew what to expect if you needed a piss. The ones at the top corner of the EE and ones on the left side of Dolman were particularly unpleasant. Delighted to see the toilets improve so much after the redevelopment.
  12. The piss was already there Wend.We had to tread thru it to to reach the urine trench. It was pretty disgusting.
  13. Bottom line - all football fans are fickle, it goes with territory. When your team is winning and doing well everyone are. happy bunnies and the manager is the best thing since sliced bread. When your team is struggling every supporter is fed up and downbeat, full of negativity and the manager is clueless and should be sacked. Every club has fickle fans and no one club is any worse than the next.
  14. The piss was already there Homer. The old EE bogs were the worse by far.
  15. A a very unusual cover version of the Bob Marley classic - Get past the snare drum and the guitar intro is truly amazing.
  16. I assume you must be female - all the male fans know exactly what I mean…………
  17. The redevelopment of AG makes a significant difference. The stadium and facilities are soo much better than they were. On huge difference for me is going for a slash and not having to stand with piss all over the floor……….
  18. Probably a rush of blood to the head - saw his name on the score and then messed them up………….
  19. We are great even when we’re being a little one eyed……..….. Is Andrew Kitchen taking over from Trevor Kettle and Kieth Stroud?
  20. They weren’t that poor Roe - they created some very decent opportunities but a combination of Max and woeful finishing denied them. They’ve only got themselves to blame.
  21. I’m sure we’re all very happy with the win which puts us pretty much out of danger especially against a team that’s full of former PL players. The Foxes missed at least 3 golden opportunities with Vardy being the main culprit and the one gifted to him after a defensive error was incredible that he didn’t bury it. Should City give up chances like those at Home Park we definitely won’t dodge a bullet again. That said - City had two stonewall penalties denied and it’s remarkable that the Conway incident wasn’t given considering that the referee had a perfect view. As for Dickie getting wrestled to the ground that was a more difficult to award especially as things like that occur at virtually every corner. I’d have been satisfied if the game had been a 2-2 draw but obviously delighted with a (albeit a fortunate) clean sheet and the victory.
  22. I wonder what influence Conway’s assessment of the way and shape that the Foxes play had today? I intended to notice if he’d make different runs but was too engrossed in the game to really notice. One thing I did notice was McCrory hitting the side netting when well placed to pull it back. I can remember at least twice he did that - very frustrating as a second City goal would have killed them off.
  23. Another three points at Home Park will virtually guarantee that Manning will be City's manager next campaign.
  24. I left AG surprised at how many chances Leicester wasted, some down to Max but not all. Vardy missed at least three opportunities that in his prime would have buried but hey ho all teams miss chances…….
