  1. Credit where its due the Club has done extremely well this year, and a far cry from problems of the past, especially the Adidas years! I clicked and collected the home shirt but had the third kit delivered and it was here in a couple of days.
  2. In honesty I thought Stoney was a poor comedian but a genuinely generous man who was a real City character and persona who will be missed by many. Given his long association with City, not just as a supporter, he deserves to be properly remembered by the Club with a fitting tribute. RIP Stoney with condolences to family and friends.
  3. Fair enough I know what you mean but even singers are a matter of taste. For example I don't think Bono or the whiny Manc Liam Gallagher can sing but some, presumably tone deaf, people seem to like them. Bob Dylan, who is a genius for me, wouldn't win any singing contests but it seems to suit his music.
  4. TBF I'm not sure what you expect. Not all the bands are to my taste but they have to cater for a wide range of musical styles.
  5. Not sure but possibly because Pearson is a better judge of a footballer than any of us?
  6. I like it. Reminds me of my old PE teacher during games lessons shouting at me that goals, with my right foot don't count, left foot goals only. Harsh but made me, a, two-footed player.
  7. Raphael Aroaye a 17 year old central defender from the u18s. Really big lad.
  8. James Hill was a very interesting signing for Bournemouth. Reputedly a 7 figure sum and a club record sale by Fleetwood Town.

  10. Seriously hoping that JP gets the commentary gig for France v Netherlands and that ex Dutch international Anouk Hoogendijk is on the panel again so that, assuming he doesn't suffer from Triskaidekaphobia, he can tell us how many times she played for Bristol Academy in the inaugural WSL season.
  11. Sweden win 1-0 with a goal in time added on. They were the better side but Belgium probably deserved extra time for their stoic display. So it's Sweden for England and nothing to fear unless the Swedes improve significantly.
  12. It was tight but if Brooker's 'goal' against Cardiff was ruled offside then this was a mile off by comparison.
  13. Thats a very good loan to Cheltenham (although in his mind he was going to Carolina). I hope that when he gets his chance they play him on the right though so he can show them his best form. He really isn't a left sided player.
  14. Tonight's Sweden v Belgium game will determine England's semi final opponents. Sweden are at 2 on the FIFA rankings list so are clear favourites but the Belgians have done well to make it to the knockout stages and have nothing to lose. Interesting comment that they're both big teams. Presumably excluding the Belgian left wing back who's tiny and I'd be surprised if she's 5ft tall.
  15. Obviously a variation of couldn't hit a cows ass with a banjo. Either way it makes you wonder why you'd want to.
  16. Excellent news. I think this lad has what it takes and given the chance will score goals.
  17. And Liam Payne and that bloke wo used to front the One Show. Niall Horan supports Derby County
  18. Warren Mitchell - Tottenham Hotspur (not West Ham like his Alf Garnett character)
  19. No way Bentley holds the winner, Basso maybe.
  20. That's it! Neither Vingegaard in yellow and polka dots or Van Aert in green will be beaten for their jerseys on the road now. Only a cruel Covid test will prevent them being on the top of the podium in Paris. Partly due to retaining their complement of riders Ineos will likely win the team competition despite both Jumbo Visma and UAE Emirates being the strong teams in UCI right now. Ineos have serious work to do to again be the leader of the pack and will certainly need a fit again Egan Bernal. No 3 in a row for Pogacar but he will go home with White jersey at least.
  21. The Daly positioning is really interesting considering she is a forward in club football. But Serena Weigman is not the first Lionesses coach to play her at left back. I have to agree that Bonmati was the pick of an excellent Spanish midfield but I was impressed by their full backs too, Batlle on the right and, especially, Carmosa on the left. They only started to fall off once England pushed more forward and Keira Walsh found more time on the ball. I hope it was only cramp at the end because she's vital to the Lionesses style of play.
  22. They don't call it diving. The new buzz phrase is anticipating the contact that never came.
  23. That's what was said. She's scared stiff of the winger and I'd bring on Greenwood or Demi Stokes.
