Business is business I guess, but I can’t be the only one depressed that we’ve basically become a feeder club for a bankrolled outfit no bigger than Gillingham or Wycombe?

I think we all had much higher hopes for Alex than this, but hopefully he gets his big move one day, rather than disappearing into a black hole in their little matchbox of a ground.

At the end of the day football is a business. Clubs sell players all the time and if the same club look at us and say "yeah we'll pay you what you want" we aren't going to be stupid and say "Nah we sold you X so why would we sell you Y?"

Could Alex go to a bigger club? Yes he could. But the fact is Bournemouth are a premier league team and he is unproven at that level so there's an element of risk.

If Alex performs like we all know he can I wouldn't be surprised if he moved on next summer to a bigger club.

According to this Sag their new ‘stand’ is genuinely labelled A-H like an IKEA flat pack ???

But it's meant to be better then the Atyeo! It's not meant to be some Meccano stand that's what the great and powerful super rich and famous Wally told the fans!

Also if it is a clip together stand I thought there was meant to be a concourse or is this just going to be a portacabin and portaloo?

  3. I found the application for the the sporting quarter that we submitted and the difference between that and the new stand application is like night and day and I know there's a big jump from a stand to an arena, offices and residential but the application is just so much more detailed.

  4. They keep going on about "but we got planning permission in 2008 for a bigger stand" but planning permission expires after 3 years and 2008 and 2023 are two vastly different times as well.

If they have gone ahead without the required permission I hope they get the book thrown at them.

The same scummy club who also decided to change history when trying to sell it to a supermarket by saying it was only the gates that was a memorial to the fallen people of Bristol from the first World War. The whole ground was donated in memory. The clue's in the name.

It's a fact that seems to get lost on most people.

The gates are the vocal point of the ground because of the remembrance Sunday service and the fact some of our "fans" thought it would be funny to graffiti the gates.

  6. Whilst Saudi is not like China or America I think it'll head more like the latter where the league just fizzes out.

The fact of the matter is the European leagues is where everyone wants to play and the Champions League is the pinnacle club Cup competition.

I think we will see more teams in the English game struggle due to financial constraints but I still believe it'll be as strong as it is now in 5-10 years time (it'll be even stronger once we get promoted ?).

JKL, I like it. Araoye gets talked about a lot, but I hold Jamie in just as high regard.

He's got 5 caps for Canada under 20's it'll be an interesting battle between him and Araoya.

I think we're in a really good position with the Academy. Yeboah just signed a 3 year deal. JKL and Araoya in contention for the first team. Francois putting in good performances for Australia,  Meerholz seems held in high regard. Morrison seems to have a fair bit of potential and this list isn't even including Benarous who is currently injured.

Does anyone think there could be a chance O’neills are only used for a season and ditched ? The collar on the home shirt is a disgrace to be honest..

I hope so. Since signing with them everything has been crap from the printed on Robin to the Knock off Norwich City kit.

I would love to go back to Hummel.

Is there actually any benefit to these pre-season games against a bunch of jokers every time. Perhaps for fitness but I would think we would be better off actually have some competitive games to bring players up to championship standard…not league 2 or non league

Helps with fitness and match sharpness and team cohesion theres only so much you can do on the training pitch.

you don't want to jump into the deep end and say lose 3-0 to a European team and then keep getting loses because that'll lower confidence heading into the season.

  10. You also have to remember this stand I believe was going to be used for away supporters.

So with the 400 odd season ticket holders and the inevitable influx of fans for the first day of the season it makes no sense that they wouldn't have got this sorted months ago.
