  1. "it was divine intervention that led us to victory over the team who were level with us only above us on goal difference.

I would like to thank Carlisle for giving 3 points to charity because they are the bigger club, they didn't have to give us 3 points but thanks to their generosity our fans can believe that we will be promoted."

Why would SL bother, the way their club is being run it would be the equivalent of putting a hole in a small boat in a hurricane.

The rest of them seem more upset with the TV appearance of Wael of Fortune last night. Most complaining that they have gone from promises of a new ground to being told they should be thankful to the board for keeping the club afloat.

It seems more and more are seeing the emperor's new clothes for what they are.

Was it who wants to be a millionaire? because he seems to need a bit of cash.

Classic BBC local news report at 10.30.pm. Opening line....

"Huge crowds to watch this local derby"

    What are they on.

    And can I have some?

I'm guessing they were referring to the rugby on Friday between Bristol and Bath which drew 23,000+ which is about the same number of Gasheads who are locked out the ground every game?

  4. If he stays fit he'll be as important to us as Korey was.

He's been quality in the appearances so far and ok sure he'll only get better with match fitness etc.

I think all credit needs to go to the new medical team and Joe to get him to where he is because something wasn't right last season as he was always injured.

OK, just got in from the game and my immediate thoughts.

City looked too ponderous in their build up play on the right side.

Possibly because if the weather, the ref let play continue when others may have stopped the game for an infringement.

During that down pour in the 2nd half I feared the Ref would abandon the game.

Must watch the goals on TV later as on the bus coming home, all the P'boro' fans assured me there was a definite handball involved in City's winner.

If it was Joe Williams on the edge of the box that the fans are talking about the highlights don't show much but none of the players are appealing for handball which you would expect.

Half time review from their forum ...

"Swindon’s thin and inferior squad can’t compete with the depth and experience of our squad. Halfway through 3 game winning run, now we are playing better, on a roll, this is how it’s likely to be every week now, opponents thin and inferior squads unable to compete with a rovers side now on a roll. "

    ...oops!

A thin and inferior squad who are in the play offs.

A squad that isn't calling in a favour for a mate to get a contract.

But we all know what they will be saying "we won the first half" "we're only 5 points off the play offs" (whilst failing to mention they are 3 points off the bottom of the table). "Garner was negligent and now we're paying for it" etc.

There's a young lad stands next to me he's been there with his friends the last couple of seasons, his mates weren't there, so when the East End were singing "Joey's going down" he turned to me and the conversation was.

    "Who are they singing about?"

    Me. "Joey Barton"

"Ah right,........ who does he play for these days?"

Me. "He doesn't play for anyone, he's Manager of the rovers"

"Ah right.......... and they aren't doing very well?"

Me. "No especially if they lose today"

    "Uhuh, what's the Cardiff score?"

That's how important they are in the scheme of things these days,  I think it's only us oldies, that have even a passing interest in their results.

I'm 30 first game my dad took me to was a derby which we won 2-0.

But I don't think of them as a rival the gap has been there for pretty much most of my life and it's hard to see them as rivals I'm more concerned with Cardiff and Swansea then I am the 15ers.

They are obsessed with us (singing songs about us, checking scores constantly etc) but it feels like we've moved on, we'll all have a chuckle about their misfortune but it's hard to think of them as a true rival anymore.

  8. Just remember what he did at Ipswich. Under huge constraints 14th, 9th, 6th, 7th, 16th and 12th and then Ipswich fans didn't want him because of his style and they got relegated the season after.

Having to do basically a rebuilding job at wolves because of financial issues. He has a good record at this level much like Warnock.

    Agree.

I'd red card his parents for their spelling however.

He's American they like to be different but he is probably the best left back in the championship.

Tanner had a few moments yesterday but he is still learning and pretty much all of that Fulham team have prem experience and international experience he gave a fantastic account of himself and will only improve.

Yes so irritated by a lucky fewers win that its ruined my whole weekend ?

So the teams around you and the team that is currently 2 leagues above you.

Well it makes sense for the teams that are around you, I'm sure quite a few fans were pleased we drew with Fulham other teams around us probably didn't like we drew with them and picked up a point but I'm sure Liverpool's fans were irritated by it as well!

  11. So they've got an agreed deal with marvel so no issue with the licensing.

They aren't actively promoting marvel because they've got a different sponsor on their shirt.

How is this advertising? If marvel were the official sponsors would they still quash it? What about every other sponsor? They are technically advertising.

    Exactly this.

Sag who I work with went to hartlepool away and was adamant they took around 600, despite official numbers saying it was half of that.

Their bullshitting never fails to amaze.

I'm sure they were accounting for the 300 that were "locked out" because after all their "loyal and Prowed" fan base always turn out in numbers no matter where they are.

Perhaps a "the dog ate our accounts" defence will be the next suggested grounds for appeal??

I mean the dog ate my homework worked once when I was at school why shouldn't they try and hoodwink the EFL with it!

Read this in the post article:

"The application also seeks to remove conditions relating to opening hours and open of the site for non-professional use."

So the Sags first team haven't got permission to train there yet then?

I thought rovers got permission on the basis that one of the pitches would be used by the community when Rovers weren't training.

I'm sure their "Loyal and Prowed" fans will be happy with that.

  15. So HMRC are a preferential creditor. I would imagine the MSD would probably be one of the main creditors as well.

Cocu and Keogh will not get as much as they hoped I would imagine.

Given the debt they have to HMRC and MSD and the fact that the stadium is NOT in the admin package any potential interested parties would surely think twice.

I doubt they'll be able to renew the deals for Davies, Baldock at the lot as they were only agreed short term EFL deals.

Derby have put themselves in the s**t trying to get around the rules has led them to this situation.
