  1. I have a few gas mates that can be separated into season ticket holders and go to the occasional game.

The season ticket holders think he's the second coming of Christ that he will get them above us and that he speaks the truth and says it as it is.

The go to occasional gamers can't stand him, thinks he's talking bollocks most of the time, don't understand why he loans in so many players and think we should be doing better than we are.

  2. Have to agree with Gabbidon realistically given the volatile nature of the position given they've had 5 managers in 2 years (not including caretakers) who would decide "yeah that's the job I want". Given you wouldn't have any money to spend, an unbalanced squad and being at a club going through the legal process with the name being dragged through the mud.

In my opinion they are my early candidates for one of the three relegation spaces next season.

  3. Would it ruffle some feathers if Martin went to the 15ers. Not to me he was a fantastic servant to the club but his time came to and end. If he's still living and settled in Bristol you would want to get a local club (although Cheltenham or forest green would be better options with much better stadiums).

I only add the least respected rumour monger on Twitter for a couple of reasons. Liverpool have been mentioned and it got me thinking to the last transfer from us to Liverpool.
The only one I can think of is Peter Spiring. Admittedly my memory is shocking so, anyone else think of another.Screenshot2023-05-18at09_01_58.png.2292591fe49010d13c4e3be53e48d8f3.png

Herbie Kane would've been the last one and it's good to see our good old friend Roy saying this is going to happen.

There is hardly any depth behind the pitch to build a new stand. If the footprint of the ground remains the same, which it does, then the new stand can only be a similar size to the old tent. The only difference will be it extends across the full width of the pitch. It will have numerous poles supporting the roof so the main difference will be the roof will be metal instead of fabric. As the planned construction time seems to be a few weeks it must be a temporary giant Meccano set. This is hardly something to get excited about.

Iirc Blackpool did something like that but they needed to when they got promoted to the premier league.

I hope with the new stand it's given entirely to home support. First reasonable stand we get and it would be a shame to let away fans sit in it.

Im sure they’ll be totally gutted and looking on with envy if they aren’t seated in the new car port.

I swear I saw them saying it was going to be used as the old stand was so for away fans.

This is from the Bolton game at the weekend... doesn't look like anything much has changed!

I really hope they get better disabled facilities, I can't imagine you get the best view from that position and no fan no matter who they support should have to deal with those "facilities"

  8. I was in the Pearson out camp after the west Brom game I just couldn't see how he could come back from that we were absolutely shocking and the only way were heading was down.

I was an advocate for him when he joined he was a proven manager which is exactly what we needed and performances last season were fantastic but it just didn't click for us at the start of the season.

I'm happy he's proving me wrong since Boxing day and I still believe he is the right man for us through the summer and next season just no more performances like West Brom on boxing day.

I’ve always backed him until the Boxing Day shitshow v WBA, when I felt he’d lost the dressing room. Since then he’s made me eat my words, and for that he deserves the axe ??

You weren't the only one I fully expected to see a statement saying he'd gone by the time I got home (an hour after the final whistle).

But I had a feeling he'd get it right and well look at us now. Eight unbeaten, defending relatively well. Attacking well even without Semenyo and is using the academy well.

They also rune a 'guess the crowd' thread.

8,600 seems to be popular for this week against MK Dons, including 600 fro Milton Keynes.

Don't need the 20,000 seater stadium anymore then?

They obviously haven't included the 10,000 locked out and the 5,000 who get in by paying Dave £5 at the gate

Did Joeybag just blame a ballboy for today's defeat???????  Strewth

"listen I'm the best manager this club will ever have, I'm the best manager in League one that there will ever be I mean just look at my record I've lost twice as many games as I've won or drawn.

But when the ball boy who is doing his job interferes with our ability to win games we'll struggle at any level. Ignore the fact my team can't defend or score against Accrington Stanley and their absolute dinosaur of a manager in John Coleman who is a good friend of mine.

I'm sick of people doing their jobs properly when my team can't it's not a level playing field if you ask me."

Accrington are missing their first choice strikers and have a midfielder playing as a striker currently.

I mean I know the sags will say they are only 11 points off the play offs but much like last season they need to get it right in January or it's a trip back down to league two.

  13. So 2 games featuring clubs from Bristol against East Anglia clubs let's compare.

Away fans. City took 350. Sags took 290.

Goals scored. City scored 2. Sags scored 0.

Players sent off. City had 0. Sags had 2 sent off.

Position in the table after the result. City in 7th in the championship level on points with 5th and 6th place and 5 off Norwich in 2nd. Sags 18th in League one 5 points off 6th 12 points off 2nd and 1 point clear of 21st.

But watch out they are coming for us and are going straight to the Premier League after all Saint Barton who wouldn't hurt a fly has said so and I'm not taking into account the 10,000 away fans locked out because little Ipswich town (compared to the mighty famous quarters) wouldn't give them all the tickets for those fans as they didn't want to be outnumbered.

Well, which one is it? Do you have loads of cash or is it not fair that you can’t compete?

I doubt Ipswich are spending £1.5m on a left back.

A fair price for Joey is "we'll loan him make him a decent player and then **** ourselves over the next season"

Barton is in Marseilles end tonight at spurs. Tosser!

"Well you see Loyal and true Gasheads I was there on a scouting mission there's this player called Alexis Sanchez who I could turn into a player better than Messi and he would absolutely love to run out wearing the famous quarters but house prices in Bristol are an absolute joke so he'll probably turn us down because of it"
