This afternoon I met up with my best mate who is a shithead for a drink along Glos rd.
We popped to the Mem as I wanted to go to our shop to buy a shirt, but it was closed when we got there.
Anyway we had a quick look around the Mem and he said while its a dated stadium it has such a unique character and feel about it.
We both agreed that if we could build a Lansdown 2 tier like stand where the Blue stand is 7- 10k and a
Atyeo sized stand where the south stand is then then we could keep the West stand and Blackthrone end as they are and have a great looking ground that could hold 20-24k.
I know Glos Rd lefties/Rose are the problem,as is parking. But there is a huge area still at Mem for development if funding could be found.
If planning was granted how much would that construction cost? £10-£15m. I hope its been looked at.OK, come on............would the person who is this fella's Ted 'Mate' please own up on here? I shan't hold my breath for a confession from one of our own though.
Our cat had an imaginary friend that lived in the lounge ceiling. Daft mog would suddenly stare into space and start almost 'barking' at something only he could see. Mind you, when my lad and his mates used to spill vodka on the floor, Oliver was more than happy to ignore the Five Second Rule and slurp it up.
I just wonder if icegas has the same domestic habit........hence the 'mate' thing?

That's a little bit disingenuous though isn't it, SOME of your tickets in SOME parts of your ground are cheaper than ours, but given most of our season tickets are for terraces and most of our season tickets sold are to existing season ticket holders most people would have paid £285.
75 of your English Pounds for a season ticket at Melksham. Get hold of Jeffers, he'll sort you out @Miah Dennehy. Nice ground, good bar and top food. Don't do tapas yet but I'm campaigning for it! Footy ain't brilliant………..but you'd be quite used to that

ll with Kalas, how did we miss out on this guy from University College Dublin AFC?
A defender who is part of a team which has now lost ten league matches on the spin, it would seem and who is joining "one of the Bristol clubs".
And Collie O'Neill has come up with a lovely new spin on how to refer to a Gap.
For his younger lads who'll be stepping up from Under 19's to fill the holes left by departing players, he described the massive difference as
"a canyon and a half"………….thank you Collie, for this wonderful expression, I truly doff my cap.

In Nympsfield tonight………..
Gas Bloke: "Ha haaar, your lot effed it up today, dinnum!"
Me: "Sorry mate, I don't even know your result from yesterday. Inconsequential!"
As someone said earlier, City at Hull seems to have been their Big Match this weekend. Why oh why can't these people see what cocks they make themselves look??????

Their mums must be so proud.
I know that all clubs have dreamers like this, but……………..seriously? None of these lads would have lasted 10 minutes with us in the Falklands. Shame really.

I spent some time up in Dallas many years ago, the Dallas that is just a short distance from Elgin in the far north of Scotland...only one pub back then, I got the usual ‘you’re not from round here you English barsteward’ stuff....then a Scottish guy jumped in to defend me, I got talking to him, he said he was Scottish, he’d lived in Dallas for over thirty years yet he was still called ‘the outsider’ in the pub and the village....interesting up there....
Crikey, there's another place I got marooned in once for work! Banjos in the distance!

I nearly went to it! Ended up going to the Isle of Arran for the day though, I must be getting old.
@Miah Dennehy For pure cabaret, you could have headed to Campbeltown on Kintyre. Saturdays are the weekly sessions where old feuds are resurrected and settled again and again! When I was working up there for a year, I had many a cheery "Yer no frae roond here, then" conversation openers before the first haymaker came whooshing my way! Happy days!

Well that's it then, Major. I don't need to revisit this forum until January 1st 2019 as I'm seriously not going to see a better comment than yours for the rest of the year! Well done, that man.
Auld lang syne and all that……………. have a fantastic Christmas everybody, I love you all -

Today’s comedians.....
2.It's the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow most seek. Why worry about them, they aren't good enough or big enough to warrant the sleeping giant status their morons think they are. Plenty bigger and further up the food chain with better resources.
Whaaaat? I've been using this forum for quite a while now………… why didn't I know about our 'sleeping giant' status??? Why have none of my fellow 'teds told me about this? I must be missing the posts where this is banged on about.
The delusion of the person who believes that we think we're a bloody sleeping giant is absolutely frightening. For me, the allegation that we City fans think we are a sleeping giant absolutely sums up the thick, jealous, self-righteous 'everybody loves da gas' tw4ts. Is it any wonder that I'm not very keen on BRFC and their 'followers'? I wouldn't sprinkle on one of them if they were on fire.

"As a suffering Gashead this season it's nice to cheer and read this news,(never mind Steve)"
Commas may be placed after the closing parenthesis but not before either the opening or the closing parenthesis. If the sentence would not require any commas if the parentheses were removed, the sentence should not have any commas when the parentheses are present.
Have I got way too much time on my hands………..???????

And, whilst we are on the subject, what do you have to say for yourself @BigTone?

I’m sorry guys
Big tone is ******* fantastic. He’s a credit to our defence. All hail Big ToneNow I’m home, for those not near the East Terrace, Big Tone looked like Rocky Balboa at the end of the Rocky films before he went off the pitch for treatment.
Big Tone was immense tonight. He's not your cultured defender who looks to carry the ball out of defence as if he's Rio Ferdinand.
Jeez, obsessed with our BigTone or what??? Be afraid, be very afraid Tone.
My ex gf back in the 70's used to be like this about David Essex………….. until the magistrates court stepped in!

Just found another ground the g*s have 'hosted' at, courtesy of His Grace the Duke of Beaufort.
I played against 'em at Badminton around 1975 or 76, for the Duke of Beaufort's XI v brfc. To be fair, the lawn at Badminton House is probably the finest surface I've ever graced (well, I only aspired to the Stroud League and later on the 'old' Welsh League!!).
Looking at the Pathe footage, I quite like the hay cart stands, what's reckon to they, then?
