Looks a good side for the unders.

Well I’m slightly concerned on hearing he favours playing with 3 CB’s given we have four and three of them were injured this time last week

Most people are just passing stuff on in good faith.
Yea as I say. And on the other hand you have your Roy’s and ‘RobinsHub’s’ that just word vomit and hope some is coherent.

It is frustrating, in real life and online, when people talk as if things are fact when they just aren’t.
I’m sure most of the ITK’s are just occasionally misinformed and genuinely believe what they are passing on, but the people who guess stuff in the hope it comes off and they seem ‘in the loop’ need new hobbies.

This is vintage football. I could cry.

It is a good read, that forum of theirs. Dickie (via QPR), Atkinson, Sykes, Manning… it’s lovely to be the poachers, not the poached

What a half of football. Can only hope for more of the same, and Tottenham still seem keen to play for goals despite being down to 10!

Oxford forum saying the club have released an iFollow video or something, and it's Manning who has done it. Saying it's been recorded today.
Updated comment - seems it’s on their site too.

For anyone getting home from work and wanting to kill time to the announcement, have a look at the Manning thread on the Oxford forum. The switch from ‘if it happens, we’ll be fine!’, ‘he has so much integrity’, ‘he’s done fantastic whatever happens next!’ to sheer rage when the stories broke this morning is very funny.
FWIW, I’m really pleased it’s him (I suppose I should still say ‘if’ really). Unsure at first but looking at his work so far in his fledging career, I think he has something. Here’s hoping Ashton Gate is where he really makes his name as he wins us the play-offs ️

"Having worked with Matty Taylor I understand that there will be people wearing 'faymus quarterz' shouting about 'snaykes', but he's said it's nothing to worry about."

No, Robins is not the one for us. If we cannot have an aged Pearson why should we have another one from Coventry?
If it is Manning it will be someone with fresh ideas and a real target to aim at.
Politely disagree. Whoever comes in will have a job on to get us promoted, of course, but I’d be more confident Robins could pull it off than Manning.
-
I’m warming to this idea.
Though I’d be SO tempted to wait until next weekend to see if Cov pull the trigger on Robins. I know he’s a manager not a coach - but I really like him.

It’s surprising that we’re seemingly announcing tomorrow and we’re so unsure. Club keeping their secrets well!
Shags come home!

OK so this is all starting to check out.
- Clearly plans being made for tomorrow
- Fleming released last night according to credible sources on the other thread.
- Lampard had a meeting cancelled and no further contact (according to claims by a poster who appears credible)
So do we actually have any idea who it is?
Seemingly a German second division manager, or Manning. Or Will Still.
Not Lampard, Eustace, Williams, Mousinho, Robinson. But maybe one of those five.
Long week for the ITK’s this

I’m amazed how few people know what blueballing/blue balls are. Thought it was a common phrase honestly!

Would still have been a red as no attempt to play the ball
Ah I forgot that caveat. Cheers.
-
Because we’d nicked the ball off them and they were in disarray, it was a really excellent chance to score, and the foul prevented that so I think red. If it’s in the box, it’s a pen and a yellow correct? Double jeopardy rule?

Yes yes yes and yes from me.
But I believe he’s contracted to Cov until 2027.

Monday
This seems like it’s going to slip under the OTIB radar with how lively all the threads are!
So you’re confident we’re making an announcement Monday then?!

What injury has Roberts got? Still struggling from that knock he got the other week from Ipswich?
Yes to my knowledge mate. No idea of its severity but I think we’d have heard if it was really bad so hopefully just a knock. Hopefully back next weekend; with four back today, if we get another one back next weekend we’re suddenly looking so much better.

His kicking is alright normally? You for real, every kick goes straight out or to opposition has done ever since he’s been in the side!!
His short passing is normally very calm and helps us build up from the back. He always shows for it and keeps his head. His long kicking gets more stick than it deserves, he’s got three short forwards to aim at. I think he’s just a scapegoat at times, though I accept his last 3 games have been below par.

Today is a good day, when we needed it. All the injury returns seem unscathed, though we did have a few in the wars today, as is normal for a scrappy game. Weimann, Conway and O’Leary all took hits but fingers crossed, all seemed ok.
Rob Dickie, clean sheets and goals. My favourite signing in yonks.
