This sounded a bit off to me so I had a little look into the past records and play off semi's that go to pens are basically 50/50 whether or not the home team wins. Vale were 1st and 2nd to miss last night and were given a lifeline by the dreadful technique of the next Swindon player who stepped up. Might be interesting to hear what players would have to say about that but it seems to me that it's fairly random.
I actually meant more in connection to the fans coming on at the end. You never got it when fa cup semis were at neutral venues for example
-
Do wonder if there’s potential to change the play off format to avoid the scenes seen at forest and port vale and have a one off semi at a neutral ground.
It’s no coincidence that both penalty shootouts so far have been won by the home side who had a passive advantage (yes i know they earned that over the season)

Could always go back to fences around the pitch!
This is the sort of behaviour they were introduced for.
Hillsborough means that’ll never happen

Which summarises my point perfectly.
As a tax payer I would prefer to see Derby County wound up even if that means HMRC get nothing, it will prove that HMRC are serious about the collection of taxes from financially cheating football clubs.
In addition, I believe it would deter any other questionable owners following the same path.
Does the liquidation of Rangers in 2012 act as a precedence at all?
From memory it was the HMRC’s rejection of the CVA that forced Rangers into liquidation and Rangers are arguably a much bigger club than Derby County

In a statement, Quantuma said the exchange was "conditional on the sale of the stadium, EFL approval and receiving secured creditor consent".

So just minor admin stuff then.
So they haven’t agreed anything with HMRC then?

Would Bakinson be one of the 4 given Ipswich already have a option to buy?

You just know CoD will go to a championship club and score against us

Agreed.
But it is also looking increasingly like Kirchner wants to buy the club and ground for virtually nothing. If he was as wealthy as he says he is, he could also solve the problem.
It’ll be interesting to see how the 95% drop in value of bitcoin this week affects Kitchener’s finances seeing as he apparently made his money in cyber currency. I’ve seen lots of accounts on twitter of people who’ve lost their life savings etc
As for Morris i do wonder what his finances are like as it could be he can’t afford to give away Pride Park

Is it me or do the pictures of their fans on the pitch show they have an ageing fan base with not many younger supporters?

I don`t think so in that situation where the keeper effectively gives the ball to the striker. A bit like Taylor Moore/Assombalongs a few seasons back,
But had the rules been applied correctly Cornick wouldn’t have been able to stand behind the keeper. A very unsporting Luton goal to score
Had it gone the other way we’d never have heard the end of it from their manager

Absolute howler from the Reading keeper. Luton 1 up.
He`s behind you!
Should’ve been a Reading free kick for offside though

The cynic in me always wondered why they didn’t just bring less food in the first place..but it’s nice they’re so socially aware

Looks like Fulham’s plastic fans have their clappers out

Weirdly I’ve noticed that the third kit was showing as sold out on the website but was on the shelf, although it remained at full price so that’s where it remained

Easy game for him today and didn’t do a lot wrong in fairness

Yeah, from a sensible Bukta design, to the wide collared Nibor get-up, replete with a spider web pattern. Awful.
Be fair it did glow in the dark

He’s done a decent job there so could be a case of be careful what you wish for, looks like they’ve run out of steam

Does show how plastic Fulham and Bournemouth are with their clappers though

Iirc Gary Rowett got them to 6th, the same position as Lampard, without the luxury of having Mount, Tomori and Wilson on loan. Should he have been in the frame for the Chelsea job?
Circumstances got him the Chelsea job as they were under a transfer embargo
-
I don’t really get the hostility to Lampard both on here and social media. He did a decent job at Derby getting them to the play off final albeit with Chelsea loanees and Mel trying to cheat the system
But people forget he went into Chelsea whilst under a transfer embargo and brought on a lot of their younger players qualifying for the champions league and laying the foundations for them winning it the next year
The problems at Everton have been years in the making and the result of bad recruitment followed by more bad recruitment and trying not to live in Liverpool’s shadow

What one rule change you would make in football?

Simplify the offside rule, if you’re ahead of the last defender you’re offside regardless of whether you’re interfering or not
