  1. If anyone gets the chance watch tonight’s panorama on bbc iPlayer. It covers last seasons champions league final and some of the footage is shocking followed by the French trying to blame the Liverpool supporters

Also there was the usual arrogance showed by uefa to cap it all off

I know lots out there think Liverpool bring things on themselves but there’s no excuse for kids being tear-gassed and the authorities were very very lucky nobody was killed

Max Verstappen, World Champion again. A bit of an odd end to the GP with no one sure why full points were awarded but there you go

Only F1 could replace rules that made sense but weren’t properly applied with ones that don’t make any sense

40 minutes racing but stopped by the clock is full points but 40 minutes racing stopped early isn’t ??‍♂️

    McKenna, Cook and Johnson.

Yates came on at h-t, Worrall and Surridge unused subs.

So 14/20 newcomers, still means 9 new signings (minus any injuries) aren’t even getting kitted up.

Can only imagine squad disharmony looming, if not happening already. Who’d have guessed?

Its ok getting promoted using loanees, but it leaves a big gap on promotion, unless you’re Wolves / Mendes, where you know the loanees will sign on again.

Easy to criticise recruitment, so I will!!!  One, it’s just so many. Two, they paid over the odds for some. Three, how many were ready for the Prem?

And 4, some like Lingard clearly came for the money

Don’t think Sala was aware it wasn’t safe until they were already in the air, hence the voice note

A friend of his was interviewed who said she told him if he didn’t feel safe not to fly on it which implied this was before they took off

I hope so.  Still have this sneaky feeling he will hand over the reins (reigns, rains - cover my arse for spelling police) to someone else and it will be them who actually gets us over the line.  If that does happen, I hope he’s still here in some capacity.

Ranieri is known to appreciate taking over from him ?

Really? is this actually a fact?

It has been widely reported that the 2 high profile strikes, that were planned, were subsequently cancelled out of respect to her majesty. No mention of any laws being broken due to the period of mourning.

Exactly it’s a gesture of goodwill that’s hopefully reciprocated

Saw an interesting poll the other day, albeit briefly not checked veracity or if it an outlier so treat with caution.

However public consent for thecurrent system about 60 pct whereas a decade ago it was listed as 75 pct. Granted the 40% was split between indifference and desire for change.

Thought this was interesting as didn’t realise it was quite so many. Can only assume the majority full into the don’t care category

    Providing people followed protocol.

By reading this thread and the levels of anti monarchy, it's no wonder the FA did not trust the fans.

Not so much this thread but social media in general people defending the idea of having a monarchy have been more abusive. The favourite one being ‘go live somewhere else then’ to anyone who dares question whether a system of hereditary monarchy is in keeping with 21st century society

There is no public clamour whatsoever for what you suggest.

Ironically, as they have lost the best of the best, it appears to me from the public mood that if anything the monarchy is only likely to be strengthened by the death of our beloved Queen.

Renewed and reinvigorated by her son who is looking increasingly like he's matured in to a chip off the old block.

    God save the King.

It’s a bit difficult to accurately gage anything when no descent is allowed on the mainstream media.

I know twitter brings out the worst of a lot of people and it’s easy to be a keyboard warrior but there is plenty of descent to be found there whether that could be called a public clamour or not I’m not sure

Incidentally there’s a video of Liz Truss doing the rounds on there when as a Lib Dem she was denouncing the idea of a hereditary monarchy and now here she is trying to proclaim herself as mourner in chief
