Is it cheap? 6 figures release clause, plus he'd bring his own team with him as we sacked everyone else.
What "big name" did you want?
‘Not necessarily a big name’ i just wanted us to try something different, we’ve gone for apparently up and coming managers before with the likes of McInnes and LJ and we’ve then gone to more old school managers like SOD, Cotts and Pearson
We’ve done those and haven’t progressed further than where we are now. But still we try the same things.
Look at Norwich or Huddersfield in the not so distant past they were nowhere and tried something different and appointed two different managers from Germany and both then got promoted. I’m sure there’s other non German recent examples too.

It just seems a very Bristol City appointment going for a cheap option from a lower league
We had the chance to try something different not necessarily appointing a big name but looking in leagues we don’t usually look in. Instead we’ve reverted to type and if you keep doing the same things normally the end result is the same
Nothing against Manning but i fully expect the cycle to go round again just like it has while SL has been our owner

Keith Hackett has his doubts! Fwiw.
Thought the ref got it right, red card but not quite in the box.
Should also be noted he’s a Sheffield Wednesday supporter

Know a nice Hotel? Vienna sounds good
Booked into the Austria classic hotel Wien, based on Tripadvisor reviews
Taking a train from Vienna to Prague in the same trip but the main Christmas markets there don’t open till early December whereas in Vienna it’s mid November

Just to confirm the Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines are ALL closed up to 3pm
From Paddington you will need to travel Eastbound on the Bakerloo line to Oxford Circus.
From Oxford Circus travel Westbound on the Central line to either Shepherd's Bush (Bars etc) or White City (nearest Loftus Road - opposite TV Centre)
It’s a little misleading on the map but Lancaster Gate is a 5-10 minute walk from Paddington, alternatively the Lizzy Line from Paddington and change at Bond Street. Both would be a lot less time consuming

Maybe just a coincidence but Ipswich and Ashton were in town just days ago with their young up and coming coach and now that’s apparently what we’re looking for again

Without wishing to rain on anyone’s parade there’s no point ruling anyone in or out as we’ll get no say in it anyway

Could always vote for King as player of the match to answer whoever questioned why he started…

You change at Paddington for Ealing Broadway.
Check the routing on the ticket, if it says not via London then you’d need to change at Reading

Twitterverse are linking him with Birmingham as apparently the new owners want a bigger ‘name’ and obviously that worked really well last time

£46 for a one month in advance return from Temp to Paddington Outrageous
Just out of interest, how much were you expecting to pay?

You have to wonder how on earth Leicester managed to get relegated with what they had at their disposal
Also as a wider point walking past the rugby ground heading to the game made me realise that Leicester isn’t that different to Bristol but has the benefit of being a one team city

My contract is up with O2 who consistently don’t work inside AG on a match day, does anyone know if any of the others are better?

What happens if you chose the post option and they haven’t arrived?

Was a bit of a slow burn at the beginning but probably the most enjoyable race of the season to watch and finally a non red bull winner

I work in a toc control (not GWR) and if the last train is cancelled the toc will at first try and source a bus to replace the train, if that’s not possible or there aren’t enough people to warrant a bus they’ll book you a taxi however if that’s not a realistic option such as theres a long wait they might authorise you to book yourself a taxi like an Uber and claim the money back
Last resort would be for the toc to book you a hotel but honestly i could count on the fingers of one hand the amount of times that’s happened as usually a taxi was the best option

It's staggering that their home fixture v Swansea is being allowed to kick-off at 7:45pm on a Saturday night and yet, we repeatably have our games with both of them moved to early mornings or a Sunday....
I’m pretty sure those games are bubbles though

Looks like Sykes is coming on

Worth pointing out transport for wales will not be on strike so if GWR do run services to Cardiff like on previous strike days it should be possible to get to the game by train but will be a hassle
-
No one likes them but they do care

There is a RMT strike planned for that day, assuming GWR operate a similar service to the previous strike days there will be a limited service between Bristol Parkway and Cardiff
However transport for wales are not involved in the strike action as their government has long since settled the dispute so their services will be operating normally

It being Bournemouth is what stings the most as they only got to the prem by cheating ffp while clubs who try and stick to it get nowhere
