  1. Seems like now or never for DC. Can't see that Kirchner will have bid the same as before Christmas so would assume a lower bid than before.
  2. Still a hundred times better than Clinton Morrison. I just can not listen to a commentary when he is co commentator.
  3. Just another conspiracy against us from the EFL because they want us relegated.......oh wait, no that was WRDC (and they have had at least 2 pens this season)
  4. How is parking legally near a football stadium for hours being an asshole ? Imo anyone parking illegally for even 5 minutes should be ticketed..my point being what are the council doing in other areas of the city where there is even more 'illegal' disruption and on a daily basis.
  5. Renewed my 2 no problem, paid up front all done in a few minutes.
  6. Never understood why anyone that buys a house near a major sporting venue is surprised that a large number of cars appear on event / match days. Surely if you buy a house in that vacinity then you surely accept a degree of disruption. No different than living next to a school and constantly having your driveway blocked or cars parking on pavements as close to the school gates as possible. Parking issues have been raised in and around Ashton Gate since the First division days when restrictions first started appearing.
  7. Which seems to be unused by the majority of the general public on Saturdays, judging by how quiet it is each week.
  8. Personally can't see Burnley staying up but they could do Watford a big favour. I was impressed by them Saturday at Anfield and they have 3 winnable home games coming up soon as well as a more comfortable looking run in. Everton's run in is ghastly by comparison.
  9. And without Keane following his sending off today ( although Burnley may have preferred him to play as he imo is flippin' awful).
  10. Really !! A large majority of his runs created space for others and he did a lot of donkey work, chasing and harrying. Not his best position on the right side of midfield but our defence looked better with him in front of them. I said in a thread last season (prior to his injury) our midfield was actually stronger with Weimann, Pato and Nagy playing in front of them than they do with the present incumbents.
  11. Just as well, as according to a certain podcaster (who has gone quiet recently) all Weimann does is run around a lot waving his arms about.
  12. Exactly my way of thinking in what has to be a realistic scenario. NP hinted recently that Klose may be staying beyond the season ( I guess that depends on a number of things, contract we can offer compared to what he will get elsewhere). Cundy looks like he may earn himself a 12/18 month deal with recent performances. Of the last 3 players mentioned I think at least 2 of those will be sold and wouldn't be surprised if all 3 go. In the real world we should be looking at circa £7m for all three, particularly as they are coming into their last year. Moving the middle 4 on will be the big challenge.
  13. Was wavering on whether or not to get a season ticket (u22) for my daughter again as she only came to about a dozen games this season. Once I weighed up the cost of membership for her, potd prices and the advantage of first dibs on away tickets buying a season ticket is a no brainer. .
  14. Got their excuses in early, see my link above. Now blaming the bidders for undermining the process.
  15. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60946333 So nearly a week to sift through both applicants and still unable to come up with a preferred bidder. A new one for the NF blame list above, the preferred bidder for being awkward.
  16. Used to be the first page to check out before turning to the footie on the back page.
  17. If you are going to use that argument then you would have to enforce it at the other end of the age scale as well so no more £55 season tickets and free shirts or reductions for Under 19's (who's parents probably pay for their tickets in any case). Surely reductions are all about goodwill and encouraging certain demographics of society to attend games and retain an interest in attending games. Bit of a sweeping statement to suggest 'seniors' have more disposable income than many others. Have seniors not earned the right to have more disposable income after 50 odd years of their working lives, a majority of which they were paying up to 15% interest on their mortgage payments each month. Rant over.
  18. Last season I bought 2 Hot chocolates (scalding hot), 1 pie (not great) and 1 pint inside the ground. Reduce that to zero in ground purchases next season and that will be the increase covered.
  19. Don't forget our ST's were Frozen last year, are we really expecting it to happen 2 years running (despite being amongst the most expensive in the division).
  20. Weimann, Scott, Ashton Gate 8 celebrations and the three podcasts. (Have no idea re the women so skipped those).
  21. Sorry, don't agree. I can remember several games at Eastville in the 70's when the gas works thing near the ground used to rise and fall. It was on one of those days that the term 'gas head' was first used towards our not so esteemed rivals.
  22. Can't see the EFL bending any rules, particularly as they are answerable to 71 other clubs and one of the board members is a QC. This all has to be strictly by the book or repercussions will go on for years.
  23. Derby County...the new Salford City, only a few leagues lower...now that would be funny.
  24. This was announced about ten days ago...and as JW on Tslksport stated, who cares, it's a friendly and the club's need the money.
