With Williams now getting back to fitness it's a real headache as to who he replaces. Scott and Massengo definitely don't get dropped, and with Dasilva getting back into his stride I'd be keeping him in the side. The only feasible way to fit Williams in would be to drop Martin, which is again very harsh as I think he's a solid player for us and a very composed finisher when he gets into the right position.

Scott should have a rest soon, played quite a few consecutive games for such a young player. So leave Martin in but replace Odowda with Pring and if Atkinson isn't fit then Vyner comes in to the back 3 imo.

Now we're not pumping balls from defence/goalie up to him for 90mins and are actually playing through him he's such a more valuable asset in the team. Klose's passes into him yesterday is what we should have been doing from the start.

I still stand by that we have to be careful not to 'burn' him out by playing him for 90 mins week in week out. He has a great work ethic and chases everything he can, but Weimann levels of stamina he does not have, so games like yesterday, I would have liked to have seen Wells/Conway come on for the last 15 as you could tell Martin was flagging.

Absolutely correct. Lump balls up to him at head height and expect him to fight for first and second balls is a waste of his talent. Now we are playing football we are all seeing what a very good footballer and goal scorer he is.

I’d be happy to see Williams play one, rest one, play one, rest one for the remainder of the season.

I’m not desperate to see him start tomorrow.  If he’s ready, he’s ready.  It’s such a shame, because he’s been really good in the cameos this season.

I hope he's being eased in ready for a full 90 against Reading at home, which would be a far more significant 3 points (if we win than today imo).

Feated for scraping  a Derby team featuring Mount and Tomori into the play offs.

Did nothing at Chelsea , finished 4th and then was 9th until his replacement won the actual Champs League

Zero tactical nous in my opinion

Fell out with senior players, refused to play Rudiger and would have sold him last January if he was still manager. Worst points per game record of any modern day Chelsea manager.

Burnley could be heading for choppy waters IF relegated.

Couple of articles of late- getting relegated in the first few years wouldn't be in the script though they were one of the best run clubs in the country in the leadup to the takeover.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10449797/Burnley-facing-60MILLION-hit-relegated-Premier-League.html

Essentially early repayment of the MSD loan.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10419993/Pay-delays-raise-alarm-Burnleys-financial-position.html

Though Burnley do deny that there is a problem, for the purpose of balance. They're right too as while they're in the PL, they can absorb it without issue and pressure.

Perhaps a mix of cash buffer, wage cuts on relegation, player sales etc would see them okay if relegated but they're taking a bit of a chance.

£60m loan, over 5 years- at 9% interest. While you're in the PL that's easy...but that interest alone, let alone early repayment in the event of relegation could be interesting?

Think I heard on 5 Live a week or so ago that Burnley have 10 or more players out of contract this summer (which may help if relegated). Can see them dropping further rather than bouncing back due to the levereged loan and likelihood (imo) that the owners jump ship as they owe nothing, it's all on the club.

Out of the names you listed my first priority would negotiating with semenyo, Massengo and probably max O’Leary . I like Kalas but wouldn’t be to fussed if he was sold to free up wages , Martin maybe give another year as a back up striker but I’m not sure if we are gonna be able to afford the calibre of striker us as fans would like to push us forward.

A bit difficult to sell someone who is out of contract.

……or are Stockley Park and Kevin Friend making sure that there is a title race of sorts? I guarantee that penalty would not have even been looked at down the other end.

My thoughts exactly. No way would that have been given to Palace.

Well, they kept us in for 20 minutes over at their place earlier this season.
Can I report them for impinging on my human rights?

TBF to Heddlu I thought their operation plan to keep fans apart after the game at their place was excellent. Would have kicked off big time otherwise.

  9. I hate player ratings but I would have given Kalas, Martin and Weimann 9/10 each today with TK my Man of the match. (Semenyo was awesome in the last 30 minutes but not quite enough for a 9).

It also seems like the longer this goes on, the more evidence that the administrators haven't got a clue what they are doing and the paper is clutching at any straw thrown at them

Seemed like that on day one way they stormed in claiming they would overturn the points deductions.

Ok - Let’s go through it.

Bakinson - Right I think we all agree

    Moreton - Right

    Bell - Right

    Conway - Right

    Pearson - Right

    Jenah - Right

    Also add Towler - Right

    Also add Britton - Right

Scott -  Wrong - Good player like him good touch balance ‘ but’ needs to find his best position or could slip out the team.

Pring - Wrong - Good Player can play at this level -See my Post have we found out left back.

Max - Still not sure (likely Right) I think will end up in L1

Not sure it was that I was way of the mark.

    Thanks for digging out.

If it was to show I get more right than wrong - Thanks

  12. Am i correct in thinking that the EFL gave Derby another opportunity before this season started to produce accounts and ''put their hands up' by saying that Derbys and Wycombes fixtures were interchangeable before the season started. That surely implied an acknowledgement of Wycombes complaint and a warning to Derby that time was running out.

My concern is that, should Reading continue their freefall, then, unless Peterborough can grab a few wins pretty rapidly, WRDC might yet pull of their great escape.

I have always thought the siege mentality will help them survive. Not any longer. They will have to sell players and now looks like like WR may be off to rename Everton WRE.
