I suspect you could bet your house on it. Wales v Scotland in Cardiff the day before. That will not be in an empty stadium.

Interesting bit by Simon Jordan today.
Speaks if a feeling that - 21 isn't enough among other EFL clubs as Derby (like everyone else in a sense I presume) took advantage of the exemptions and allowances during Covid for tax etc- and then went into administration as we were approaching a return to more normal business conditions entered administration!
Only just read this but worth remembering that SJ is good friends of one the administrators. I guess he is acting as an unofficial ' mouthpiece' for them.

The Beatles left Marleybone Station to travel to the West Country to record scenes for their new film. The exhibition of photographs taken prior to the Beatles departure from Marleybone station is open now in London at he link provided by NTTDS. For anyone not interested in downing pints at Wetherspoons it is a worthwhile cultural alternative.
The football link is that during the scene at Crowcombe, Paul Mcartney asks, "Can we have our ball back ?"
Do I win a prize ?

Some of the scenes were shot in Minehead some at Crowcombe. (A Hard Days Night)

Liverpool 2 years ago if we had managed to turn up v Shrewsbury at Home and Man City if we had taken our chances against Fulham. Only got ourselves to blame.

I thought he was let down by O Dowda yesterday who was a passenger for 70 minutes. Thought he carried the left side tbh.
Completely agree. O Dowda spent the entire second half hiding on the touchline behind the full back. Quite a few times he could have come towards the ball to give Pring an easy pass but instead retreated away from the ball giving Pring no option but to go infield.

Looked totally shattered for the last 20 mins. Battered and bruised. Thought he may have come off for Wells with Semenyo switching to the right. Fair play to him for lasting the 90. Terrific performance.

Out of his depth and doesn’t look very comfortable on the ball.
Not helped by a lack of movement and options ahead if him

95% of staff vaccinated helps.

At last a goalkeeper who looks comfortable with the ball at his feet. I thought we looked a much better team by playing out from the back (big shout out to Scott who kept showing for the ball). Max was even rolling it out to our players and kept moving the ball quickly rather than the slow predictable Bentley, followed by a long hoof up field.

First match I've swerved all season. Looking forward to sitting at home with a cold beer rather than embarking on a 4 hour round trip in the cold and wet.

oh well, just have to watch Man City v Leicester instead. Fingers crossed QPR goes ahead on Thursday.

Is it the one via the Kennet and Avon Canal or Bristol Channel / English Channel/ Thames ?

The summer break is already going to be shorter than usual to accommodate for the World Cup in November/December. It's going to be interesting how the FA, UEFA manage things if there's a backlog of matches due to Covid.
Even shorter when you factor in Nations League fixtures during June and the season starts again in July.

Pre season and with Covid disruption in mind all Premier League teams agreed that matches would go ahead if a team had 14 available players. So why are Chelsea complaining about something they agreed to ?

When Martin is in the starting X!, we are effectively playing with just ten men.
He's either bloody lazy or simply incapable of running. Sick of seeing him constantly walking around the pitch.
Next time we start a game without him, we'll get a decent result (and hopefully he won't even be on the bench).
Whatever our shortcomings (and there's plenty of them), surely Pearson can see that Martin is not the answer.
What utter tosh. He was running hard, working the channels and starting every press from the front in the first half. (Didn't notice so much second half as I was in the South stand). Just because the press isn't successful is not Martin's fault. Blame those around him who should be making sure Martin's man has no outlet ball. He did not stop working hard first 45 yesterday. Not his fault that most long balls pumped up long from the back favour a taller more powerful Centre Half. Most of the time all he can do is make it awkward for the Centre half to get a clean header.
Not saying he should not be replaced but some of the criticism on here is wide of the mark, just spend 10 minutes in a game watching him and his work rate rather than jumping to preconceived ideas.

Disagree with with most of the above. Benarous as a straight replacement for COD was the obvious choice. Where else could he have played today without totally reshuffling the midfield and leaving one of Massengo, James, Scott out. Pring has been out of favour and Benarous deserved his chance. Thought he had a decent game after the first 20 minutes when he was a bit anonymous.

Yes. Announced that attendance 18k and something. Yes, I know they count season tickets holders who do not show, but honestly how many bums on seat in todays match.
I thought the concourses were pretty empty, the South stand certainly emptier than normal. Great gaps around me in the Dolman. So quiet I wondered over to the Lansdown second half as that was also no where near line it normally is. Took a seat not far from dug out. Loads room.
Bums on seats today. 12k perhaps. Covid impact ? Wish they would tell us how many actually come through the turnstiles todayI did the same although a bit further along level with the 18 yard line.

That is a very interesting proposition.
Just think, if we were to enable trained medical staff from Europe to come and work in the UK with no restrictions, it would surely help the current labour shortage in the NHS.
Perhaps we could even extend this offer to HGV drivers and other areas in which we are suffering a labour shortage; fruit and vegetable workers, nursing auxiliary staff, for instance.
I wonder if anybody in Government has actually thought of that and, if so, what the response of our European friends might be.
I wonder what the response of the anglophone, pro-Brexit French President might be were we to propose a simple, no tariff trade and labour agreement.
Finally, I wonder how many of the tens of thousands of people who crossed the Channel in flimsy dinghies this year are suitably trained and qualified to assist our understaffed NHS, and would be more than willing to do so, but are not allowed to work (legally) so ‘disappear’ and end up working ( clandestinely, thus illegally) on building sites, in sweat shops, nail bars or, shamefully, in underground brothels.
or we could cut the benefits of the 1.42 million freeloaders (not all I grant you), claiming unemployment benefit and train them for these jobs instead.

What is he expected to say, " Taylor Moore's cr*p so he went out on Loan to free up some wages." Or more succinctly " He's out on Loan " NP will answer most sensible questions with a straight bat IMO.
