It was a very tough game. Preston were very sharp and strong defensively, very compact. I think Weimann and Martin have been class so far this season but not too much of a problem today for the Preston defence.

I think tactically they were causing us problems. I still feel that Massengo central with Semenyo wide right might give us a bit more mobility in both areas of the pitch. But also Scott already looks so good, I was disappointed not to see him come on last 20.

Wells did well though wide left. Forced some corners and gave us some fresh legs and pace. Pring's legs seem to go after an hour or so.

I actually thought it was an entertaining 0-0. Probably a fair result, maybe they edged it. I thought Swansea game was a better performance but I think Preston are the more difficult team to play against.

Not long got home from the game and was about to write a similar summary. For a 0-0 it was pretty enjoyable to watch and  a draw was a fair result. My only criticism would be Kalas's long throws. why so many, why so ineffective. He wasted so much time taking them, drying the ball etc.

Wouldnt be surprised to see Semenyo and Dasilva start on Wednesday with Massengo inside instead of King.

Can anyone really see come August you will for example see 76,000 fans at Old Trafford?

Yes, that's why restrictions are due to end on June 21st.

All festivals in the summer have sold out Reading, Leeds, Boardmasters etc. I expect Wembley to be at full capacity for the final stages of the Euros. Fans back in stadiums next season with no restrictions.

I too think that's it sra.

Think back to the Blades we played in the 'Weimann' game and this is a pale imitation. Considering they are a Premier league side, I expected a lot more intensity from them.

That said, the sags are giving them a go. (Grits teeth) They're doing ok but I would expect the Blades to up their game in the 2nd half (ungrits teeth).

I'm just waiting for the rugby TBH.

Not so far....they look worse if anything.

  4. So its alright for thousands of people to sit on Bournemouth beach and wander around the town at will. 100's mingling in town centres shopping and from September 30 kids plus a few adults compressed in small classrooms (indoors !!) but sports fans cant be trusted to act responsibly inside a stadium.

Sorry but from someone who strictly adheres to social distancing I think it is more mixed messages from Government.

I would quite happily return to watch live football if every second seat is left unoccupied, concession stands and toilets closed (so no queueing).

Under the above guidelines I wont be attending if I have to turn up 3 hrs before...especially after a 2 hour journey to get to the ground in the first place.

  5. Haven't listened to the Talk Sport show but wondering if Big Cheese mentioned the cross I put in for him to score one of his trademark headers when he was playing as a 'ringer' for us in the Somerset Senior League one evening, late 80's.

Perhaps Sheikh Mansour could take time out from his brave battle against the terrible injustice suffered by poor little Manchester City to arrange for Etihad to sponsor Bury?

Why would anyone in their right mind put more money into Steve Dale's bank account.

It also makes me wonder if Steve Dale bought the club literally just to make money from selling Gigg Lane.

He did. And it has worked, he doesnt give two hoots whether or not Bury survive.
