I like Tanner as a defensive RB, but I have noticed that he doesn't 'see a pass,' as he receives the ball. This necessitates him stopping the ball, looking up to see what is on and then going backwards as forward passing options are closed down.

Might have been useful to explain the Sykes substitutions (yesterday and last Saturday). Particularly as yesterday's was followed by a chorus of "you don't know what you're doing," from the away end.

Absolutely disagree with this. If you are leaving a successful job for a position elsewhere, it is on you to do your homework on the company you're about to join. Surely you would have someone researching what the opinion of the fans was regarding the sacking of the previous incumbent. You wouldn't rely solely on what your new bosses are saying. That is outright negligence.

Yes I enjoyed that high intensity pressing, forcing turn overs and as you say we benefitted from some early goals too. I certainly haven't enjoyed watching Tommy stand off a goalkeeper and allow him as much time on the ball as likes before passing into an unmarked player in midfield.

From memory Middlesborough also hit the woodwork and had several decent chances. Beat Middlesborough who were one point and one place above us in the table. Hardly world beaters. Out of possession etc - Boro passed through us with ease at times as did Southampton. Norwich and QPR were both poor teams that seemed happy for a point. Player mistakes.
