  1. I think the ref spotted that their player had a hold of Massengo's shirt dragging him down and also his hair. Nowhere near a penalty imo. Ref got that one spot on.
  2. It was fantastic to see Colins head explode. Been talking out of his arse ever since.
  3. Yes, it would be handy having him back, James too.
  4. Disagree (we all see things differently). I wasn't impressed with Stoke at all, bang average Championship team playing against a team who are struggling and with a couple of kids in midfield. They maybe should have lost to struggling Peterborough at home on saturday given the stats and their own fans opinions. Posh had over 63% of the ball, 200 more passes than Stoke, and 14 attempts on goal (Stoke 7). Stoke also got a red card just like last night. But they didn't take their chances and Stoke took theirs - bit like last night.. We were maybe completely outplayed in the first 20 minutes or so, but not over the 98 minutes. We got a deserved result imo, based on the application and commitment the team showed and thats something to build on hopefully. Not sure why you mention King - he's out for the foreseeable as far as I understand it, but James will be available for Sunday so that is a boost. As for getting taken apart by the better teams, I think the top three are capable of taking any team apart in this division, but I really don't think we'll be taken apart too often by any other team and a draw with Fulham wasn't a bad result. Looking forward to the upcoming games to see if the improvement continues and also to see how the likes of Benarous and Scott progress, maybe Conway as well.
  5. I think King is out for some time ? James should be ok for sunday.
  6. Matt James for Williams maybe. Other than that, no change.
  7. Well, the Stoke manager thought it was a lucky result; https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-bristol-city-penalty-red-6257036 Three penalties ?
  8. https://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/302392/bristol-city-stoke?page=22 "Bristol are so small time it's unreal."
  9. The stats for the Peterborough game are a bit surprising; Stoke 37% possession, Posh 63% Stoke 327 passes, Posh 550 Stoke 7 attempts, Posh 14 But thats just the stats, its what you do with the ball and the most vital stat is that Stoke won 2-0 - looks like the second goal was very late into added time when Posh were all out attack. If we can replicate the form from Saturday and maintain it for the whole game, we should win imo, but thats been the problem for a long time now - no consistency of performance. Its just as likely that we capitulate and lose 0-3.
  10. 18,347 - exactly the same as the Barnsley attendance which is a bit of a coincidence. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/fixtures-results/first-team/202122-fixtures/
  11. Jack Warner ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Warner_(football_executive)
  12. Pretty pointless playing Palmer if NP persists in playing Martin up front.
  13. Birmingham - 2 wins at home, 5 goals scored and 10 conceded. City - 4 wins away, 11 scored and 12 conceded. 2-1 win ?
  14. He's 5'9" - a relatively low centre of gravity and great balance which means he can fend off challenges quite easily and is difficult to knock off the ball. That may give the perception that he's a "unit" or even heavily boned - but I'd argue against both tbh.
  15. Mixed messages from NP, or just a kick up the arse for Kasey - slack off in training and your toast. He's a very talented footballer and still young, he'll come good either here or elsewhere.

    That miss

I had it in my head that it was Tanner who gave Cole a push in the back but that pic clearly shows it was Kalas. I held my breath at the time as I thought they may get a penalty. But a clever "lean" by Kalas put enough doubt into the refs mind.
