I liked GJ when he was here. He took us further than any other Manager in my lifetime.

However wherever he has been since  he seems to have demolished their youth system and left them in a worst position than when he joined.

He did that at Yeovil town they certainly paid the price for it.

This while “crayons” thing is so tiresome, unintelligent and pathetic. He’s probably more educated than 99% of people on this forum 🤣

I always image the people using that term as the sort of people that laugh at Mrs Browns Boys.

Being educated doesn't mean you have any  common sense or in fact the skill base and quiet frankly probably doesn't know how to laugh at joke!

So, this is what, the seventh or eighth time that since having been promoted to his current role, which in his boss (Jon Lansdown) has acknowledged this week that communication must be better, that he’s shit the bed on Twitter and had to delete it.

Communication is part of his job. Being twelve isn’t. And I’ll say again, he’s one of the three most senior people in a multi million pound organisation. Show me another company where such hamfisted communication from a senior leader is acceptable.

Clue: There isn’t one. And he’s either too stupid or too arrogant to learn.

Edit: And for those who said he’d done nothing wrong in his original tweet, then riddle me this Batman, why did he need to delete it…

    Exactly that !!!

Be interesting to see what he decides……my gut feeling is he will be off.

I think the offer city have made was just that an offer I'm not sure the club wanted to keep him 100% that will be 4 players now with alot of experience between them. I said this a couple of months ago he's upped his game to get noticed.

Last bit is so spot on.

SL made his fortune himself, this horseshit on here at times about him being Hargreaves’ dumb partner is so patronising, especially as Hargreaves is so far to the right politically there’s absolutely no way he tolerates a passenger for a business partner.

SL earned the money & the right to spend it, completely infuriating as it was at times.

    His son? Nope.

Basically we’ve gone from Oliver Cromwell to Richard Cromwell, if you know your history..

But SL put his son there it doesn't matter if he's made the money himself the decision to put the incompetence in a position he's in is unbelievable, SL might be good with figures but his decision making and business sence is nothing but baffling.

    To repeat myself:

Ten seconds to decide if it's worthy of checking, then sixty maximum with the referee straight away. That way they're all looking at it together, not framing it like the ref's being scolded.

Better cameras that are faster and show the movement of the ball-to-foot smoother, if they insist on pinpointing and using the lines.

and as a new suggestion, managers get one challenge per half, if the decision stands they lose a sub.

Nope scrap it! The games being ruined by technology when it wasn't needed in the first place.

  7. Thank you @redsquirrel for this, Am I jealous true right I am 😂 Just kidding shows what a man he is and absolutely graceful for the hard work he achieved at city especially giving our players the confidence to move forward.Im still livid about what happened and my feelings towards the owners haven't changed one bit. We need a new direction without doubt. A manager that has more experience in football than Steve Jon and tinman put together. Once again cheers Nige 👍

I know but I’ve just lost the football bug because of it . I’ll always be a city fan & will go back when I’ve had a bit of a break . The club just seemed with Gould & nige in charge we were in good hands & I thought we were building again . We then get another CEO who seemed the right fit , only for **** ups from above again . One step forward & two back all the time with them in charge.

Absolutely agree and I don't think it's going to change. Every season repeats itself it's the same old same old.

That 2nd quote is exactly what Pearson said numerous times to be fair back us/show ambition which didn’t go down too well did it.

To me I can't see this lasting long.

Is he? Not for me he’s not.

He’s the bloke who every season  has funded £millions of my football clubs losses, built a ground and training ground. He saved the famous old rugby club from extinction and provided the funding that turned  it into one of the country’s top clubs.
Doesn’t sound too bad to me.

Funded the debt he's built up that's how he works and that's what certain people said when he stepped in as owner now he wants the money back soon as he finishes his dream( built the arena etc) he will walk.Easy building something but no good without progression.

The compromise for me would’ve been a 1+1 deal, something like 25+ apps triggers the new deal (on players side).

Thats not to say he’d accept it.

Maybe that’s what we offered.  Maybe we offered him nothing - as Tinnion has been open re everything else, why would we think any differently?

Someone is gonna a get a good, senior pro next season, and I fully expect that to be a Championship club.

I honestly hope we offered him something but i do wonder if we actually offered him anything due to the fact bird is incoming. Like you say a 1+1 would be perfect obviously acceptance from the player but for the club itself would be ideal keeps the experience we need without costing alot.

I'm pretty sure it will be the championship for him next season and watch with interest to which club that will be. Best of luck to him but I'm also disappointed.

I get it but James who i think has been excellent for us is 33 in July and it’s a big ask to offer two years or more on his top wages which I think is what he would have wanted, we also don’t know what the internal discussions have been , eg James said two years at least and maybe has offers in the bag so never got beyond that

33 years old is that old for a footballer still think James has two more years left in him avoiding injuries of course hence why he's looking for 2 years. Stays fit he will be a quality addition for someone.

If he does go somewhere else, we are suddenly (over dramatic word, as I’m sure we are prepared) looking to recruit another midfielder, and what does that mean for the summer budget (and beyond).  Ok, we could get a free transfer, but we might have to spend.

    I hope we know soon.

It certainly throws a new scenario into play.

    @Harry

Reflecting last night, I wonder whether had Nige got his way in September(ish) time and started contract talks with Joe Williams, he’d be sorted?  And quite possibly at a lower wage than we are now having to offer him, because he is a free-agent.  We’ve opened it up to the competition.  In September, it was just a City / Williams dynamic.

    Thoughts?

I personally think we've left it to late and I'm not sure he will sign I could be wrong. He's had his set backs in his time here and I'm wondering what ever city is offering wont be enough. I think your right we would of been in a better place to offer him a contract and it would of saved us a few pennies by doing that and it certainly would'nt of put him in the shop window like it has now. This year at least he proved his fitness and stayed fit which will benefit him looking for new contracts. Will he want a fresh challenge with another club? Watch this space I suppose.

To caveat my relegation worries. It all depends on who we recruit . I have always thought though that tinnion & Lansdown don’t like having senior pros around . As an outspoken older head. I’d be amazed if Naismith is with us next season . I’m not sure if manning is a strong enough leader to deal with major setbacks.

I think Naismith has a voice has been critical on robin's TV a few times will be interesting to see if he does stay I'm hoping he does because we need all the experience we can get.

Seeing as Willem fans are regularly in city home ends it would be bonkers to segregate it and it wouldn’t be followed anyway.

Absolutely will be fantastic the more of willem the better 🙂
