he is a Bournemouth reject that i know quite a bit about i just hope he has changed

Well why don’t you let us know why you don’t think it will be great idea to sign him, instead of “Bournemouth will be pissing themselves”, “Bournemouth reject” and “I just hope he has changed”.

Rovers were actually regarded very well by the local community in Twerton, who were sorry to see them leave. I've always seen Barf as Rovers territory for this reason.

Rovers were equally sorry to leave, as Twerton was the scene of numerous famous victories over ci*y, including the glorious 3-0 victory that confirmed us as champions of what is now L1. However, the 4-0 hammering will always have a special place in my heart.

That isn’t true at all I’m afraid. I know for a fact the players had to do a lot of extra curricular work/appearances to try and get the locals and businesses on side. Bath was never enamoured with Bristol Rovers playing at Twerton and were quite pleased when they moved out.

Agreed. Those two pushing each other is a nice problem to have- both young, obviously talented albeit with different strengths, both as you say have room for growth. Just a q as to in-game...if we go 3-5-2 will Wilson in-game be able to switch to RB and likewise will Tanner adapt to RWB if we start with a back 4 and Naismith enables switches between the two but it is as I say a nice problem to have.

If that is how NP wants to play, that’s the challenge for them. Pring seems to be getting the balance just right, on the the other side so hopefully Tanner and Wilson will both become well rounded too.

That is a great strength of Naismith. I've been unsure about him as a CDM or similar but it will enable rapid in-game switches betwwwn a 4-3-3 and a 3-4-3/3-5-2.

My other caveat was, if Tanner is mainly an RB and Wilson an RWB does that make such switches more difficult.

I think they are both young and both bright enough to learn and improve. A lot of growth left in both of them. Tanner will always be more defensively sound than Wilson but Wilson will give us more of an attacking option. I hope Wilson manages to end the season fit and at least pushing Tanner.

I'm really not getting the backlash to the protest. If people wanna do that then that's fine  Their prerogative .

Maybe I've missed something obvious, but hey ho

Something obvious like what are they marching for? What is the objective of the protest?

Is it Pearson out? Is it to be fans and not customers? Is it the safe return of their club?
All of it? If so when?

12m plus some hefty add ons might be doable and if a bulk of that 12m is up front then the board might see it handy to give nigel some funds to strength this window. Obviously would like more but with our finances it could sort us out in the longer picture.

Does it matter how it’s paid and how much upfront? I thought our issue was FFP not cash flow?

He’ll take the risk and try to fire it into feet or he’ll try to put one over the top of the defence. When it don’t work that is all people see. I think he needs to cut down on the long diagonal balls but otherwise he is fine. Was only one looking to get the ball into our forwards quickly

I don’t mind the odd diagonal, it keeps the Rb honest against 4 at the back and asks questions of the Rcb and Rwb against a 3/5. Even if the execution isn’t always the best, it keeps the possibility of it in the backs of their minds.

I bet it goes on all the time.

For example, how many players know they are being sold/ transferred and it's agreed before it's made public knowledge.

Tell their mates or whoever...they put on money for you and them before bookies are made aware.

Imagine how easy that is. Not just player, but Agent etc all knowing.

Just like Kieran Trippier telling his mate to “lump on” his Athletico transfer.

  10. Did he say we “should be around the top 6”? Or was that a target he set for the players? Bit of a difference if so.

I don’t think for one second, he sees us as a top 6 team and think he simply challenged the squad to try and remain in those places by continuing to play well.

No, Kane was offside when Emerson (?) heads the ball. The stupid part of the rule is not , it doesn't matter if you're behind the ball. The stupid part is it dose,'t matter what direction the ball is going.
And after decades of "you can't be offside if you play the ball backwards"

Yeah I got the situation confused with direction of travel. Cheers

    Wrong.

"A player is in an offside position if:

any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line)

    and

any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than BOTH the BALL and the SECOND-LAST OPPONENT."

If the ball is nearer the opponent's goal line a player behind it is NOT in an offside position.

    As above. Thanks
