  1. Yes but I never felt they had control of the game, you could see there tidy on the ball and are a good side but for example we were winning the ball back and breaking quickly on hull in transition. I felt they played quickly and looked to go from back to front quick. They didn't have a great deal of shots on target either and when you look at possession stats its 51 to them and 49 to us. The sunderland game I'd say they controlled the game especially when we went a goal up.
  2. I didn't feel Hull were In complete control of the game at any point.

    Vyner

Vyner was absolutely class this evening definitely my man of the match !
  4. Fans are extremely fickle even the most staunch pearson supporters won't give pearson a second thought if manning keeps winning games great back to back wins and we have shown a few sides to our game in both wins long may this continue!
  5. This clubs is an absolute farse how an earth has tinion became so influential he must be doing some serious ass licking! Jon is a mumbling mess Steve doesn't give a **** who's accountable down there what exactly is the roles just all seems like mates in the office tea biscuits all yes men all very cosy all nice it's a joke of an organisation no one holding anyone accountable or pushing for any kinda of excellence it just has a proper rotten feel to it all down there.
  6. Lots of clubs have had success with it tbf Nottingham forest, Fulham, brentford, bournmouth, wolves it can get you there if you do it properly of course.
  7. Thing is the clubs very amateurish it's okay throwing money at it now and again but you need the recruitment to back it up we just end up having a mare and signing bang average players for high wages etc hulls new owners have gone in there chucked abit of money at it along with some very smart business and there in the play offs this season having a go it can be done I don't mean go mental and bankrupt the club obviously but we seem to be extremely cautious now under Lansdown or he simply refuses to have another go if they got recruitment sorted and put some money in I feel we could make a push but I don't trust the lansdownes to do it all properly
  8. Probably because we are a bang average underwhelming club ? We love this club but that is the truth and as I have said before untill we have ownership who wants to have a go and wants to change that then we will continue to be a bang average underwhelming club
  9. To be honest I highly doubt our recruitment network is wide structured or comprehensive enough to not only find players abroad but find good ones. Personally I think we have a very amateur scouting and recruitment network at the club which imo needs HUGH improvements this isn't any in the know knowledge its just my gut feeling. Isn't this something Brian tinion heads up ? says it all really.

He is a maverick attacking midfielder these players very rarely contribute to the defensive side of the game and will normally have 2 holding midfielders behind them to worry about that. you can't stiffle these players by asking them to constantly worry about defending you tell them to keep a high press in the hope we can nick the ball or to force the opposition to rush there passing and decision making. ( front foot football ) Also known as luxury players because they will usually only play to change a game and make quick forward passes to the forwards around them to put the opposition on the back foot and maintain tempo and momentum in that final third of the pitch or sometimes push up acting as a 2nd striker in that false 9 posisition. warnock did it to great effect with adel taarabt for example pearson did it with Anthony knockaert at Leicester even he was allowed a fluid role in the team usually interchanging in game with there CAM, illias chair is another one at qpr usually so good at what they do you take the risk with there lack of defensive prowess. You don't want to nullify there threat to much Unfortunately I feel alot of these type of players are being phased out the game which has now become very tactical physical and more rigid.
  11. So JL can say " well we don't need to sign a midfielder now we have duncan back in the building "
  12. Heard beale is abit of a fraud ain't he ? Didn't do alot at qpr or rangers
  13. Wtf he don't half chat some absolute bullshit it's that little smirk aswell I'd just think he's a prat if I was playing under him

Yes he earned his name at Wycombe playing as an attacking midfielder I beileve. Which is why I find it baffling we have shunted him out to the wing this could be because we dont have any real strength on the left wing position but even when you watch him play he looks much more like an attacking midfielder to me for example he has quick acceleration but not necessarily quick top end speed which is useful for receiving the ball on the half turn in the middle he has a good strike on him aswell and quick feet to get out of tight spaces low centre of gravity and intelligent enough passing to lend the ball back to those around him or give and go. I'm surprised not more has been made of this in the various Mehmeti threads he is by no means a poor player he is just learning a new position.

It's interesting you reference mehmeti as a central attacking midfield I'm not sure many know this but mehmeti isn't a winger he played behind the striker for wycombe he is being asked to play a completely different position here at Bristol city which I find very odd to say the least as its certainly not how you get the best out of him.
  16. Spot on dave it's a real frustration and just seems very underwhelming from the board of directors ( mainly Steve Lansdown ) yes the crap JL and BT come out with is just a smoke screen definitely! I do have this feeling weather rightly or wrongly that Steve has completely lost interest in the football.
  17. Yes if you want to remain a 14th to 16th placed championship team I suppose. I just feel there is a huge area for improvement i always tend to come full circle with these things and come back to the baord and ownership and I don't think we will really get to where we as fans want to be untill steve passes the batton on to someone else.
  18. It's all very subjective I suppose I don't think it just comes down to the recruitment team alone per say. Because there are alot of other things to factor in like recruitment structure and how that looks and also budget restraints. Again I feel the questions should really be asked to the lansdowns who I feel are always the common denominators. What do they want essentially because if there trying to build a top 6 team with 300k purchases and freebies there living in cloud coo coo im affraid given the current financial demographics of the championship. They also refuse to pay loan fees they also haven't shown there willing to " trade " Unless you have some insanely good contacts in the recruitment side or lots of highly skilled eyes on the ground or a top top recruitment model like say brentford for example which I don't beileve we have then your not going to come up with a great deal.
  19. Cornick just isn't very good technically especially for this level. I also fail to see why people say he's a target man he very rarely wins headers against his marker or offer up any sort of link play for the forwards also struggles when given to much time on the ball to pick his passes he does try and he runs his socks off he very workman like but if we want to get to the Premier leauge we need to add quality its a big no from me upgraded needed. Unfortunately I don't trust the club to get it right when it comes to player recruitment we continue to fail at this as a club where our rivals are picking up gems all over the place. People will throw night and dickie in for arguments sake and I'd argue this can be countered 10x over but the hit ratio for players who can come in like your knights and dickies and hit the ground running is very poor, to add to that Steve doesn't seem to be putting the money into player recruitment either so we're just left with abit of a shit sandwich really aren't we.
  20. I am certainly one of the main culprits for hammering in to George tanner but on the flip side i will recognise when he had had a good game and I think today was the best performance I have seen from him in a city shirt. Kept his passing nice and simple didn't seem to panic and defended really well today. Thought his positional awareness was better today aswell sunderland didn't really have to many passes on down that right hand side and instead had to look for different options.

    Mehmeti

Mehmeti may just need minutes hes been bit part for a while now he is definitely well worth his place over bell imo offered us alot more then bell all our players dropped back in that 2nd half
