We're only also-rans with Nigel
We only want a City win
We're only also-rans with Nigel
Nigel just needs that helping hand
(Yeah, he probably wouldn't like this one)

He did not do much, but my abiding memory of Anderson was away v Sunderland. Live on Sky (a rarity for us), where we got completely and utterly stuffed, he comes on at one nil down and belts in an equalizer late on. Good goal, but across the match completely undeserved point.
It was a complete robbery, but it was easy to see across the 90 who would finish higher that season.
I remember that game for a different reason.
Drank far too much cider before the game, went for a slash in the first half, sat back in my seat and then realised that I'd somehow managed to lose my way and was actually sitting in with the Sunderland fans, with my City shirt on!
A couple of coppers came over and escorted me back to the City section, and I got a few cheers

Because he was one of the few players who could get you on the edge of your seat and change a game - like Cardiff last year, Birmingham this.
We’ve all suffered the no shots on target years - it felt like Semenyo could lead us out of them.
Haven’t felt like this since we sold Bobby.
My sentiments exactly.
When he started running at defenders I always thought something could come of it, the most exciting player to watch for me.

Me too.
I don't think I've been so gutted to see a player leave since Bryan and Adomah.

Got to be that player valued at £10m, that we got for £300k from some amateur club up north.

What was with Saint Joey walking off before the end of the match yesterday? Is it another "look at me" type action from him? Seems very bizarre, selfish and a bit disrespectful to everyone involved, but there doesn't seem to be any outrage for it (no questions from the interviewer after either, was he scared to ask)?
I misread "walking" and thought Joey had stooped to a new low.

What on earth is Chong doing playing for Birmingham? Should he be applauded for being willing to seek first-team football or should he be condemned for playing so far below his talent level?
I liked him best when paired with Cheech

My old man took me and my brothers to watch the speedway at Eastville in the 70's.
The first time we went it was pretty busy and the old man managed to find a spot for us that was less packed.
It was on a corner and we all got pebble dashed.

Golly, could you vomit out any more alt-right, culture war clichés? I think I'm one short of a line and two away from a fullhouse.
Cultural Marxism for a bonus prize.
Don't think you're allowed to say "Golly"any more.

Great interview thanks @Shtanley! You sound like you’ve thrown in the towel though mate, don’t give up we do appreciate what you do.
As for Albert, really good insight but wouldn’t say he’s a club legend. He played during 3 of the poorest seasons in recent memory, culminating in relegation. An icon perhaps, as he was one of very few bright points in those three years and clearly loves us, but legend? Not for me but great player.
Thanks again @Shtanley.
For me, his club legend status was cemented during one of his first interviews, when he dropped in that some young ladies had flashed him their Bristols at the airport.

I thought the referees at the WC were excellent apart from the Brazilian who reffed us v France and the Spanish one who looks like my old next door neighbour and reffed the Argentina / Holland game:

Wilton Sampaio who was the referee in the England Qtr final has been excluded from officiating in the final after match fixing allegations....
In a statement he said that he denies any wrongdoing and is devastated at not being able to be part of France's 2-1 win over Argentina later this afternoon.

I appreciate the respect.
But it is silly that we have four FAs and four teams for one sovereign state. Might as well let Spain enter a Spanish team, a Basque team and a Catalan team, or let Bavaria, Prussia, Hanover and Swabia all form an FA and get involved.
I'll leave it there and let everyone enjoy the 3-0, but it's a stupid, divisive, archaic system.
The trouble is a UK team would probably have to have Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish players in it to keep everyone happy, and then we'd be shit.

There are some pretty stunning Iranian women and I think one of the reasons they got picked out in the crowd so much was that most, though not all, were openly defying their country's theocratic government by having their hair uncovered.
Even their moustaches?

A three match ban for Bailey Wright would seem a fair punishment for the pitch incursion.
