  1. We played better with 10 men than we have for most of the season. Scott in a more advanced role looked very good, Semenyo while isolated used his strength to hold up the ball on a number of occasions although didn't particularly threaten the goal, O'Dowda was excellent bar a few misplaced crosses, Kalas my MoM though.
  2. Ref got the result he wanted today. Can't blame the team, I think they've been very good.
  3. We've got a few of them. I can think of at least 13 players that have done something this season that got me off my seat... ...to walk across the room and turn off the TV cos I aint watching that crap no more!
  4. Yeah, I don't agree with abandoning the game. I do feel the players should leave the pitch, the police/security/stewards then go in to deal with the offender, remove/arrest and then the match continues after. Abusing match officials by calling them sh*t or a w*nker is quite a bit different from racially abusing someone though!
  5. He should have, but what the post I edited came across was that it was the poor 99.9% of people who were not being racist were the ones affected because they couldn't watch their football match, not the guy actually being racially abused, so edited it to show the issue is the guy getting racially abused, not whether a football match can continue.
  6. If it's less racist than what it was, less racist is still racist.
  7. I've amended your post to match what has happened. The world has gone mad that racism is so prevalent in modern society and yet accepted or brushed under the carpet by so many.
  8. If your view on racism is to ignore it and that players/people who are subjected to racist abuse who bring it to the attention of authorities are "going off crying because someone called them names" then you're never going to get it.
  9. I still don't think we've given him a decent run in his strongest position.
  10. As the resident old bill... Is there some distinction in the 'type' of rape he is accused of? Like has he followed these women walking home and dragged them into a bush and had his way with them struggling, or has he been in a bar drunk taken a groupie home and they've all been drunk so can't give consent ala Chen Evans? Appreciate they are both 'rape' but obviously very different levels.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having concerns over him. He seems to be a confidence player and you can see by the relief in his face when he finally scored with his foot (although he had to play a one-two with the post) rather than his arse after blocking the goalie and then backed up by his performance yesterday where while he didn't score, he set up two and had a few good strikes. His style of play is impossible for defenders to predict because I'm not sure Antoine knows what he is going to do next. The way he breezes past players with strength (similar to JET) and then can turn on the pace (not similar to JET) as well as the way he can strike the ball both footed with so much power (similar to JET) is enough to get fans up on their seats and raise the atmosphere in the ground. The problem with those raw attributes is he is not going to be consistent and we could seeing him going crazy and scoring 7 goals in 4 games, but then not scoring for 5.

Couldn’t watch todays game but delighted to hear this. Saw he got two assists today too.
  13. They are doing shuttles and he is not meant to go until the person in front of him has done his and the coach blows the whistle? He’s’ not supposed to be moving. Also, hands on the hips opens the chest and pulls your shoulders back meaning you can take a deeper breath when recovering. So apart from stating he’s not there when he is and that’s he’s not moving when he’s not meant to be, what other incorrect assumption can you make?
  14. I met him at an award ceremony after a work football event at Man City's training ground and yes the two points above are 100% true. Im 5'11" and felt like I was towering over him however his calves were also the size of me. He was quite shy, especially when he had 4 teams of girls gushing over him!
  15. Aren't there penguins in/on the Galápagos Islands? That's a little bit closer to the North Pole.

Isn't it Sports Personality Of The Year rather than Sports Achievement Of The Year? Shouldn't it be about them as a person rather than winning?
  17. Still on FM21, but just won my 16th straight Premier League title with City. A nice contrast to real life!
  18. Paddy Power did one of their "Justice payouts" for people who did single bets on Max and Lewis to win the race and also to become World Champion.
  19. I get you hate Hamilton and it’s cool, but that’s not what this discussion about whether you think he doesn’t deserve to win or Max did, it’s the way the race ended that’s the controversy.
  20. To be fair, he’s wound you up something rotten ?
  21. In football the best teams nearly always win. In 100m final the fastest always win. In long jump the person who can jump the furthest wins. Why do we need to watch any sport?
  22. Come on mate, you can see we're all trying to have a discussion about the decision by the FIA & Masi about why a new rule seemed to be created mid race which heavily favoured Red Bull & Max. This is the first season in a long time that 2 different constructors have been able to challenge for the title so closely. Either of the drivers could have won it and either would have deserved it. The issue is, now one of the best F1 seasons will be remembered for the wrong reasons. Try to join in with the debate. You might learn a few things about F1.
  23. I don't think it was a red flag scenario. The track stewards cleared Latifi's care pretty quickly. Virtual safety car and then a full safety car was probably the right call. I agree pitting under the safety car should be limited to potentially safety/damage items only. This might be tough to police though as teams may start claiming their tyres were going to pop. They can't go slower under the safety car. As it is, their tyres and brakes cool so much that it could potentially be dangerous if they are to start up full race speed go into the first corner and their brakes don't work.
